The main event of the beginning of 2020 should be called the emergence and spread of a new coronavirus infection - COVID 19 among the vast majority of the world's population. The infection affected not only the state of somatic and mental health of a person, but also many other aspects of his life and work - economics, politics, finances. A stable concept is rooted - distance. It has turned into a lifestyle: it has become an attribute of communication of many people of different ages in the household and professional level, part of a new reality. It is obvious that in the near future people will have to adapt to new specific living conditions, including the organization of the process of education of the population. Children of primary school age, and even first-graders, were also involved in distance learning. This fact posed not only situational questions to teach subjects, but also for assessing the value orientations of the modern education system in the near future. Separate results of conducted surveys of teachers on the subject of mastering distance learning have already appeared on the Internet. Teacher opinions indicate that distance learning works more successfully where students have the motivation to learn. At the end of the school year, the results of distance learning in various educational institutions will be known. Obviously, questions will arise about the further use of Internet services in this area. But in our opinion, the role of a teacher as a high-level professional remains the most important condition for a successful educational process. Keywords: educational process, distance teaching, distance learning, motivation to learn.

The article reveals the course of diagnosis of health competence of a future biology teacher. The complexity and structure of the studied phenomenon were revealed under such criterions: motivational-value (motives, needs, value orientations), cognitive-informational (mastery of health-preserving knowledge and skills), practical-activity (health-preserving skills) criteria. Experimental work was carried out in two stages: ascertaining and forming. At the ascertaining stage the organization of  educational process of future biology teachers was comprehensively investigated. The initial low level of health competence of future biology teachers was determined, which showed no significant difference between the levels of health competence of future biology teachers according to motivational-value, cognitive-informational, practical-activity criteria. According to the results of the ascertaining stage of the research, a formative experiment was carried out, which proved the existence of a high level of health competence of future biology teachers on motivational-value, cognitive-informational, practical-activity criteria in experimental and average in control groups. It was found that the students of the experimental group showed higher levels of health competence. It is proved that in the experimental group of students there have been significant changes in the direction of increasing the level of health competence. The obtained data from the experimental group in comparison with the indicators from the control group indicate that the efficiency of using the whole set of proposed innovations is higher than using them separately, without further updating.

To analyze the peculiarities of teaching the surgical discipline among Ukrainian-speaking and English-speaking students of medical faculties of the 5th year.Material and methods. The analysis involved 10 groups of medical faculties №1, №2 and №3. The total number of students who took part in the analysis was 125, of which 76 were Ukrainian-speaking (60.8%), English-speaking - 49 (39.2%).Results. As a result of the analysis, a better and faster adaptation of the student society to distance learning was revealed in comparison with teachers. Due to the fact that surgery is a clinical discipline and is practically oriented, it requires the use of a significant amount and volume of multimedia materials, as well as high-quality photo content. Considering that the Department of Surgery №2 conducts active treatment and diagnostic work, the availability of multimedia material, photographs of clinical cases in dynamics, as well as other thematic content, did not create difficulties for the transition to distance learning and allowed the department to quickly adapt to the difficult conditions of the educational process. At the same time, when demonstrating to students the video material with the teacher's comments, one could notice that some of the students (32%) did not follow the demonstration of the material.Conclusions. The undoubted advantage of distance learning is that the educational process can continue, despite any challenges of modern life. Teachers and students can interact in real time and solve problems of the thematic plan. However, there remains a significant drawback of this form of education - it is the impossibility of objectively assessing the level of knowledge and skills of the student in the conditions of the student's use of outside sources and prohibited ways to answer questions.

The article describes the difficulties of transition to distance learning (DL) at a medical university when students pass clinical disciplines, using the example of the subject of "psychiatry". The negative impact of the pandemic on international cooperation in the field of education and science was also noted, in particular, attracting foreign students to further education. Based on the above, the following tasks were set: to study the features of the transition to distance learning the subject of "psychiatry" at the Odessa National Medical University, to identify the features of distance work with English-speaking foreign students during their learning of this discipline and to present proposals for optimizing this process. During the transition to DL, a significant decrease in the quality of education was noticed during the absence of an existing learning management system, since this transition was a certain stress for all participants in the educational process, both students and teachers. Significant problems have arisen in the DL of clinical disciplines for English-speaking students. The greatest difficulty is the teaching of psychiatry, since it is difficult to explain to students in English not only the description of psychopathological symptoms and syndromes, but also the mental characteristics of people with other nationalities. It is proposed to use movies, with the main heroes suffering from mental disorders, as a thematic guide for mastering practical skills. Although some of the positive aspects of DL have been noted by medical students, they agree to DL only as a forced short-term measure.

It is proved in the article that personality had to be able to think, constructing logical reasoning with the help of concepts, judgments and inferences, and the ability to interact constructively with others, working in a team, to succeed in the society. The content and structure of social success of a child of primary school age are presented. This concept is proposed as an integrated quality, which consists of three components: motivational, instrumental and emotional and behavioral. The motivational component is characterized by the presence of the need for knowledge, the desire to succeed. The instrumental component covers three components: cognitive (systematized program knowledge; developed conceptual, divergent, critical thinking); operational (intellectual, intellectual and cognitive, research, intellectual and creative skills); evaluative and effective (reflection and adequate self-esteem). The emotional and behavioral component of social success of junior high school students is represented by the following components: value (presence of value orientations), emotiona and volitional (developed emotional intelligence, respect, sensitivity to others, self-control, volitional qualities), communicative (developed social intelligence). Psychological and pedagogical conditions are characterized as a mechanism of formation of social success of a child of primary school age in the process of studying in the Institutions of general secondary education (IGSE), namely: dominance of problem searching dialogue between teachers and students and between students in the educational process of primary classes; implementation of the course “Logic” in the educational process of primary school in 2–4th classes and tasks related to the content of the course “Logic” on lessons in Humanities and Natural Sciences and Mathematics cycles; creating tasks for joint learning activities, providing “I am – the inclusion” of each pupil in joint work. The mission of the course “Logic” in the content of primary education is described; the techniques of organization and implementation of problem searching dialogue between the subjects of the educational process, the organization of educational activities in a team are revealed.

"The period of the covid pandemic changed day-to-day full-time teaching into distance learning. Teachers, but also parents without any prior training, had to react immediately. What has long been theoretically talked about professionally, namely the use of digitization of teaching in the online environment, has suddenly become a reality. Long discussions about the innovation of the curriculum for primary schools in terms of the scope and quality of educational content were suddenly solved by the teachers themselves using their professional skills and experience. Most of the surveys show [22], [15] that the teachers handled this situation very responsibly and that it can be stated that they managed it within the specific possibilities. Teachers, parents, and especially first-year primary school pupils had a very specific role during the pandemic, and thus the transition to distance learning. It is for this reason that we focused on this group, in our opinion the most affected by pandemics. The present study describes the experience of parents with distance learning reading and writing in the first grades of primary schools at the time of closing schools in the Czech Republic in the school year 2020/2021. The aim of the survey was to describe the effects of distance learning on the development of initial literacy, the differences between day-to-day and online teaching; problems, challenges, pros and cons that the distance learning period brought. The research was carried out as a multi-case study, in which interviews were conducted with six mothers of children - first-class pupils. The results showed that distance learning did not affect the quality of children's acquisition of reading and writing techniques, it only slowed it down. However, there was a decline in pupils' interest in reading and a disruption of their relationship with education in general. It was difficult for parents to motivate children to learn, to help them in case of difficulties with reading and writing techniques, and to evaluate their learning outcomes. On the other hand, distance learning has made it possible to further individualize education with regard to the needs of children and has deepened cooperation between school and family. Distance learning placed increased demands (physical and mental), especially on mothers, when it was necessary for their intensive involvement in the teaching process. Based on the evaluation of the course of distance learning, the paper brings general recommendations applicable to both distance and full-time teaching reading and writing."

The epidemic situation in Ukraine in the autumn of 2020 with regard to the COVID-19 pandemic required the continuation of quarantine restrictions and the educational process in almost all higher education institutions in Ukraine went online. The aim of the study was to analyze the psychological aspects of students’ learning in the context of emergency distance learning during the quarantine of the COVID-19 pandemic, distance learning satisfaction, and success of adaptation. The data were collected in November 2020 during the second wave of emergency distance learning. The study involved 448 students of higher education institutions aged 18 to 23. The following questionnaires were used for the data collection: the questionnaire of attitude to distance learning (I. Galetska, V. Mushketa), supplemented by the questionnaire of behaviour in the context of distance learning (M. Klimanska, M. Perun), the questionnaire of people's lives in quarantine «Thermometer-COVID» (I. Haletska, M. Klimanska), The academic motivation scale (R.Vallerand, adaptation by O. Zakharko), Patient Health Questionnaire (modules PHQ-9 and GAD-7), The questionnaire on positive and negative affects (OPANA) (M. Klimanska, I. Haletska), short essays by students about their own experiences of the distance learning situation. 33% of students like to study remotely as opposed to 14% of students who are very dissatisfied with distance learning. The vast majority of students, 65,2%, attend classes and 52,1% prepare for seminars no less than before the announcement of distance learning. Students, in general, like the quality of teaching (33,1%) and the organization of education (28,2%), they declare, that now they have more time (41%). At the same time, 34,7% rate the level of education as the worse. 52,1% of students consider too much homework to be a key problem, 41,7% of respondents feel a constant temptation to do other things, 43,5% of students declare the complexity of self-organization and adherence to the regime, at the same time, a significant proportion of students, 21,8% , note that they have no problems with it. As the main positives of distance learning, 79% of students indicate savings of travel time, and travel costs 75,1%. 49,3% of students say that due to distance learning there is much more time for communication with friends, 45,8% - more time for independent work. 37,2% of respondents indicated that for them personally the availability of greater opportunities for сheating (copying) during online testing is a significant positive, and 13,7% do not consider it as an important advantage of distance learning for themselves. Students noted physical discomfort (27%), a great amount of educational tasks (25,7%), the temptation of other things (18%), difficulties in adhering to the regime (11%) as the greatest weaknesses and problems of distance learning. Three types of adaptation to distance learning were identified with the help of cluster analysis: 1) “Adapted” students (33%), show a high level of satisfaction with distance learning and high efficiency of adaptation to new learning conditions; have successfully adapted to the conditions of distance learning and see the benefits of time saving, increasing freedom of movement in it, as well as opportunities for independent learning ; 2) “Disadapted” students (31%) feel dissatisfaction and disadaptation in the situation of distance learning, which are manifested in the lack of academic motivation and ignoring learning, as well as in a higher level of anxiety, depression and negative affect in general; 3) “Frustrated” students (36%), show above average level of satisfaction with distance learning, a high level of activity in preparation for seminars in combination with a high level of academic maladaptation; despite the high level of academic motivation, they have significant difficulties in self-organization, as a result they are feeling constant distress, which is affecting negatively mental and physical health. The results of the study show that distance learning has become a catalyst for the exploration of differences in learning motivation and adaptability of students. Therefore, it is necessary to determine the ergonomic conditions for distance learning, as well as to develop recommendations and trainings for the formation of self-regulation and adaptability for students.
