Research studies have discovered that outsourcing has several benefits and the practice is fast replacing in-sourcing especially with regard to construction consultants. In the attempt to examine the benefits of the two approaches on project outcome, this study investigates the influence of the use of in-sourced and outsourced consultants on project performance in Nigeria. The objectives are to determine the use of in-sourcing and outsourcing for selected consultants, compare the use of the two approaches in project delivery and their influence on project performance and compare the performance of projects in which in-sourced and outsourced selected consultants were engaged. To achieve these objectives, a questionnaire design approach was adopted. A field survey involving a sample of 164 projects were selected by stratified random sampling. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and analysed using percentage, mean, Spearman and t-tests. The results of the study reveal that clients engage both in-sourced and outsourced consultants in project development and that the practice has significant influence on project performance. It also discovered that the use of the two approaches has differing benefits on project delivery time and cost. The study concludes that in-sourcing and outsourcing are common practices in project development and that clients are facing a challenge in deciding which approach to adopt. The study also discovers that both approaches has benefits associated with project outcome and suggests that clients should consider these benefits in deciding in-sourced and outsourced consultants.

The study evaluates the level of mechanisation and its sustainability, the relationship between mechanisation and its sustainability and between mechanisation and project outcome. To achieve these, a field survey involving a sample of eighty projects was conducted with the aid of questionnaires. Data were collected on the production methods adopted in excavation and concreting, whether or not the use of plant for the operations were sustainable and the initial and actual delivery time and cost of the projects sampled. The data were analysed using ranking, mean, t-test and Spearman correlation test. The study reveals that the levels of mechanisation and sustainability of mechanisation in the two operations are slightly above average. It also reveals that the level of sustainability of mechanisation has significant influence the level of mechanisation while of mechanisation has significant influence on quality standards and productivity. The study concludes that there is a strong need for measures that will improve the level of mechanisation and its sustainability in the industry and recommend the introduction of plant mobilisation fund by clients, incentives on importation of construction plant and an effective and functional lease market for construction plant as some of the measures that will improve mechanised construction. Santrauka Tyrime vertinamas mechanizacijos lygis ir tvarumas, taip pat ryšys tarp mechanizacijos ir jos tvarumo bei tarp mechanizacijos ir projekto rezultatų. Įvertinti pasirinkta 80 projektų imtis ir atlikta anketinė apklausa. Buvo renkami duomenys apie kasimo ir betono liejimo darbų metodus, apie tai, ar įrangos naudojimas darbams buvo tvarus, taip pat apie pradinį ir realų darbų atlikimo laiką bei imčiai atrinktų projektų kainą. Duomenys analizuoti naudojant rangavimo, vidurkių, t testo metodus ir Spearmano koreliacijos testą. Tyrimas rodo, kad dviejų minėtų darbų atveju mechanizacijos ir mechanizacijos tvarumo lygiai šiek tiek viršija vidurkį. Jis taip pat rodo, kad mechanizacijos tvarumo lygis daro nemažą įtaką mechanizacijos lygiui, o mechanizacija daro reikšmingą įtaką kokybės standartams ir našumui. Tyrime daroma išvada, kad labai reikia priemonių, kurios pagerins sektoriaus mechanizacijos lygį ir tvarumą, bei rekomenduojamos kelios mechanizuotą statybą pagerinsiančios priemonės: klientams įsteigti įrangos mobilizacijos fondą, skatinti statybų įrangos importą ir sukurti efektyvią bei funkcionuojančią statybos įrangos nuomos rinką.

The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of workload on the job satisfaction of the lecturers of State University of Malang and as a cause of job stress. This research is explanatory research. Employing proportionate stratified random sampling, this research is based on a sample of 176 people. The result shows that workload does not have a significant effect on the job stress. There is, however, a negative and significant influence of workload on job satisfaction. There is also a negative and significant influence of job stress on job satisfaction. Job stress does not mediate between workload and job satisfaction. This study aimed to determine the effect of competence and discipline on employee performance provided by the Company PT Telkom Indonesia Witel Medan. PT Telkom Indonesia Witel Medan is the State Owned Enterprises engaged in the field of information and communication as well as service providers and telecommunications networks. Data collected through interviews and questionnaires. The total sample of 76 respondents were taken Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling. The results showed that the competence and discipline positive and significant effect partially on employee performance. Simultaneous test shows that the competence and discipline significant influence on employee performance. The coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.520 suggesting that variations in the performance of employees can be explained by changes in the competence and discipline of work by 52 percent, while 48 percent is explained by other variables not included in this study.

The purpose of the research is to reveal the influence of supervision, commitment and discipline to employee perfomance. Sample of the research have 46 employees of the Cooperative Department and UMKM in West Sumatera Province, with applied a stratified random sampling method. Data were collected by a questionnaire and analyzed with path analysis. Results of the analysis proves that supervision has positive and significant influence to work discipline. Influence of the commitment is positive and significant to work discipline. Influence of supervision is positive and significant to perfomance of employee. Influence of the commitment is positive and significant to perfomance employee and work discipline, that positive and significant impact to perfomance of Cooperative Dapartment and UMKM in West Sumatera Province.

This research was motivated by the existence of many students' aggressiveness problems. This research is aimed at finding out: 1) the influence of peers on students' aggressiveness; 2) the influence of parenting pattern on students' aggressiveness; 3) the influence of peers and perception of parenting pattern on students' aggressiveness. Quantitative approach with descriptive correlation was used as the research method. The population in this research was 245 students with 71 samples taken using proportionate stratified random sampling. Questionnaire was used to collect the data. Correlation formula of product moment, multiple correlation, simple regression and multiple regression were used to analyze the data . The result of the data showed that 1) there was a significant influence of peers on students' aggressiveness with the percentage of 12.8%; 2) there was a significant influence of parenting pattern on students' aggressiveness with the percentage of 14.5%; 3) there was a significant influence of peers and parenting pattern on students' aggressiveness with the percentage of 18.8 %.

The aims of the research is to analyze the influence of variables of organization structure, technology, enviroment, communication pattern anda personal charasteristics on communication effectiveness.The sample was selected by using probablity sampling technicue with stratified random sampling method.  The samples was determined based  on sample table developed by Issac and Michael. Therefore, if the population were 303 people and confident level was 95%, the sample consisted of 189.  The data were analyzed by using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). The purpose of this research is to examine the influence between the qualification of selection toward work productivity employee in Grand Rocky Hotel Bukittinggi. The Type of research is clausal assosiative.The sampling technique is probability sampling by using proportionate stratified random sampling. Sample in this research are amounted to 53 people. Data collecting using questionnaires based on likert scale that has been tested of validity and reliability. Based on the result of thereresearch concluded that in general about qualification of selection in Grand Rocky Hotel Bukittinggi is als good 38,62 %. Work productivity employee in Grand Rocky Hotel Bukittinggi is also good 66,7 %. The result also indicate that are significant influence between qualification of selection and work productivity in Grand Rocky Hotel Bukittinggi is 51,2% and 48,8% another factor on a 0,000 < 0,05 significant.

This study aims to determine the effect of Instagram advertising variables, prices, and halal labeling KFC fast food restaurants on purchasing decisions of students at Muhammadiyah University of Sidoarjo using quantitative methods. The sample size was taken as many as 99 respondents with stratified random sampling method. The results of this study indicate that there is a simultaneous influence between Instagram Advertising, Price and Halal Labeling variables on purchasing decisions with a fcount value of 26.933 > ftable 2.70 and a sig value of 0.000 <0.05. While the partial results of the Instagram Ads variable have a tcount value of 3,391 > ttable 1,988, the Price Variable has a tcount value of 4.708 > 1,988 and the Halal Labeling Variable has a tcount value of 2,978 > 1,988. So it can be concluded that the three variables in this study have a positive and significant influence on purchasing decisions for students at the Muhammadiyah University of Sidoarjo

Abstract: This study aims to determine (1) the level of academic service quality, (2) the level of student satisfaction, (3) the level of student achievement, (4) the influence of the quality of academic service on student satisfaction. (6) the influence of satisfaction on the achievement of learners, and (7) the influence of the quality of academic services on the achievement of learners mediated by the satisfaction of learners. The research method used, namely quantitative approach with descriptive-correlational. Population in this research was as many as 1582. For sampling by using purposive sampling technique and stratified random sampling so that obtained by sampel as much as 323 respondents. In this study the questionnaire is used to collect data. The data analysis by using path analysis. The result of the research shows that: (1) the quality of the academic service quality is in the high category, (2) the students' satisfaction level in the high category, (3) the achievement level of the students is in the medium category, (4) 6) there is a significant influence of students' satisfaction on student achievement, and (7) there is significant influence of academic service quality toward the achievement of students who mediated with student satisfaction variable at SMPN in Ponggok sub-district, Blitar regency. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) tingkat kualitas layanan akademik, (2) tingkat kepuasan peserta didik, (3) tingkat prestasi peserta didik, (4) pengaruh kualitas layanan akademik terhadap kepuasan peserta didik, (5) pengaruh kualitas layanan akademik terhadap prestasi peserta didik, (6) pengaruh kepuasan terhadap prestasi peserta didik, dan (7) pengaruh kualitas layanan akademik terhadap prestasi peserta didik yang dimediasi oleh kepuasan peserta didik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan, yaitu pendekatan kuantitatif dengan deskriptif-korelasional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 1582. Untuk pengambilan sampel dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dan stratified random sampling sehingga diperoleh sampel sejumlah 323 responden. Dalam penelitian ini angket digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data. Adapun untuk analisis data dengan menggunakan path analysis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) tingkat kualitas kualitas layanan akademik berada pada kategori tinggi, (2) tingkat kepuasan peserta didik pada kategori tinggi, (3) tingkat prestasi peserta didik berada pada kategori sedang, (4) terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan kualitas layanan akademik terhadap kepuasan peserta didik (5) terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan kualitas layanan akademik terhadap prestasi peserta didik, (6) terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan kepuasan peserta didik terhadap prestasi peserta didik, dan (7) terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan kualitas layanan akademik terhadap prestasi peserta didik yang dimediasi oleh variabel kepuasan peserta didik pada SMPN se-Kecamatan Ponggok Kabupaten Blitar.

The population of Mesua ferrea L. in Banyumas Regency, Central of Java Province is very low. There are some factors affecting the quantity of plant population, particularly traditional knowledge of local community about the plant. The aim of this study was to describe the knowledge of Banyumas community about the existence, economic value, usefulness, and propagation technique of M. ferrea. The study was done by field survey on a total of 146 residents from 10 districts which were determined by proportionally stratified random sampling. Data obtained from questionnaires and interviews were analyzed by percentage descriptive. The results revealed that only 9% of respondents were familiar with the M. ferrea and knew its status as plant identity of Banyumas Regency. Most of the respondents did not understand the economic value, only 8% of respondents understood the usefulness, 2% of respondents had utilized the timber as craft material, and 3% understood the propagation technique. The utilization was very low, equal to 14.45% compared to the potential usefulness. Most of the respondents (98%) thought that conservation efforts should be undertaken. This study found that the traditional knowledge of M. ferrea in Banyumas was low. This result should be used as a basic information for developing conservation program of M. ferrea.
