Aggressive behavior and its relationship to electronic games among kindergarten children

The current research aims to identify: - 1- The level of the relationship between electronic games and the aggressive behavior of kindergarten children from the point of view of parents. 2- The significance of the differences in the views of parents about the relationship between electronic games and the aggressive behavior of kindergarten children. 3- The significance of the differences in the views of parents on the extent of the relationship of electronic games to the aggressive behavior of kindergarten children according to their academic achievement. The research sample included (140) children from Baghdad governorate for the academic year (2019-2020). To achieve the research objectives, the researcher adopted the scale of (Dr. Al-Sawalha, Al-Oweimer, Al-Alimat, 2015) after the validity and reliability was extracted, the resercher reached the following results - 1- There are statistically significant differences between the level of the relationship of electronic games and the aggressive behavior of kindergarten children from the point of view of parents. 2- There are no statistically significant differences in the parents ’views on the relationship of electronic games to the aggressive behavior of kindergarten children. 4- There are no statistically significant differences in the views of both parents regarding the extent of the relationship of electronic games with the aggressive behavior of kindergarten children according to their academic achievement. The study aimed to reveal the effect of supervision and follow-up by parents on electronic games that the child plays, and the effect of those games on the emotional side and aggressive behavior from the viewpoint of parents in occupied Jerusalem, and to achieve the objectives of the study, a questionnaire was prepared by the researcher consisting of three axes: Parents' monitoring and follow-up aspect, the emotional side, and the hostile behavior aspect. The questionnaire was distributed to a survey sample consisting of (300) parents of kindergarten children’s parents in Jerusalem, during the middle of the first semester of the 2019/2020 academic year. The study showed the following results: There are no statistically significant differences for the effect of parental control and follow-up on electronic games that kindergarten children play, and the results also showed that there are no statistically significant differences of the effect of electronic games on the emotional side of kindergarten children from the parents' point of view, as well as the results showed There are statistically significant differences in the effect of electronic games on the aggressive behavior of kindergarten children from the parents' point of view in a negative and large degree.

This study aimed at identifying the degree at which the first three basic grades pupils practice the ethical values from the point of view of their teachers in the Southern Ghor District، as well as، the relationship of that with some variables. The researchers developed the study tool that consisted of، ( 27 ) items divided into three domains; the validity and reliability of the study tool were verified. The study sample consisted of (50) female teachers from those who teach the first three basic grades. The study results showed that، the degree at which the first three basic grades pupils practice the ethical values from the point of view of their teachers in the Southern Ghor، District، was high. The domain relating to (the relationship between the pupil and the teaching staff) was in the first place، followed by (the relationship between the pupil and his teacher)، and finally (the relationship between the pupil and his peers). The results showed that there are no statistically significant differences at ( α≤ 0.05 )، regarding the degree at which the first three basic grades pupils practice the ethical values from the point of view of their teachers in the Southern Ghor District attributed to the variables of the years of experience as well as educational qualification. In the light of the results، the study recommended that، the students should practice the ethical values in a high degree with their peers by educating the pupils regarding the brotherhood in our Islamic religion as well as practicing these behaviors in front of the students to reinforce them. The study also recommended about conducting a study that reveals the degree at which the secondary stage students practice the ethical values from the point of view of their teachers in the Southern Ghor District.

The study aims to recognize the relationship between organizational culture and administrative innovation in private schools in Jordan. The study uses the descriptive method through the distribution of two questionnaires: the first is to measure the organizational culture, and the second is to measure administrative innovation. The study sample consists of (197) teacher from private schools during the academic year 2018/2019, Validity and reliability coefficients were ensured for the tool. The results of the study shows that the organizational culture level among the principals of private schools is high, and the level of administrative innovation is moderate. The results of the study show a statistically significant positive correlation relationship between the organizational culture and administrative innovation. The study shows no statistically significant differences in teachers' estimates of the level of organizational culture among school principals due to gender and experience variables.

This article studies the cognitive features of the “power” frame and its gender implementation in the historical tragedy by W. Shakespeare “Macbeth”. Here, the author examines the concepts of “frame” and “gender” in linguistics, studying different approaches to their definition. The relevance of this work is determined by the close attention of the contemporary linguistics to these concepts, as well as their place in the contemporary academic paradigm. The academic affirmation of the “frame” and “gender” concepts designates a new step in understanding the ways and peculiarities of the language interaction, consciousness, and culture, and, consequently, it shows new aspects of the relationship of linguistics with other sciences. Nevertheless, the problems of both frame and gender are not yet fully understood. This study allows describing in detail the essence of the frame “power” and showing its meaning, use, and ways of its gender implementation in fiction, which explains the novelty of this article. The study’s methodology is based on the cognitive-discursive analysis of the text, as well as on an integrative approach to the discourse study, which combines methods of both cognitive and gender linguistics, as well as the discourse analysis. Common research methods were used along with private linguistic methods. The application of cognitive-discursive analysis has significantly increased the depth of understanding of the “power” frame that dominates Shakespeare’s historical tragedy. This historical text presents the central theme of political tragedy: the overthrow of the rightful ruler and the usurpation of power. The motive for the seizure of power forms a thematic core and is presented from the usurpers’ point of view. In this article, the author observes the gender shift and duality of the female and male beginnings: Shakespeare puts the female protagonist, hungry for power, among men, thus the images of Lady Macbeth and her husband come into conflict with the gender characteristics attributed to them. The play clearly traces the main idea of Machiavellianism: the goal justifies the means. The results conclude that the “power” frame is the leading one in Lady Macbeth’s monologue, thus setting one of the main themes of this tragedy.

This study aims to determine the relations between metacognitive to science process skills on grade VIII students MTs Negeri 3 Parigi. This research is descriptive, the approach used is a quantitative approach, manifested in the form of numbers analyzed by statistics and the results are described. The population is students of MTs Negeri 3 Parigi Academic Year 2017-2018 with a population of three classes, with a sample of 30 students. The instrument used is a metacognitive questionnaire consisting of 50 questions and an essay about science process skills 6 questions test. The result of the prerequisite test of the research result is all metacognitive indicators of normal and linear distributed and based on the regression feasibility test show that all data is feasible for regression test. The result of the regression test and test of determination to obtain a value which is not significant. Based on the results of the research analysis it can be concluded that the relationship of each metacognitive indicator to science process skills was not significant even there were metacognitive indicators that reverse direction significantly. The magnitude of the relationship of each metacognitive indicator with science process skills maximum 15.3%.

Abstract Background Benzodiazepines are commonly prescribed in prisons amidst the controversies surrounding their potential role in causing behavioral disinhibition and aggressive behavior and their association with use and trafficking of illicit and addictive substances. The present study aimed to (1) ascertain the relationship between benzodiazepine prescription (including their dosage and duration of use) and aggressive behavior and behavioral disinhibition in prison and (2) investigate whether there was an association between benzodiazepine prescription, (including their dosage and duration of use) and using and trafficking illicit and addictive substances during imprisonment. Methods Data were extracted from the electronic database of an “open” Swiss prison (n = 1206, 1379 measures) over a 5-year period (2010–2015). Measures included benzodiazepine prescription, duration of benzodiazepine use and mean dosage, and punishable behaviors (physical and verbal aggression, disinhibited but not directly aggressive behaviors, property damage or theft, substance-related offenses, and rule transgression). We assessed the relationship between benzodiazepine prescription and punishable behaviors after propensity score matching. Logistic regressions were also used to test the relationship of benzodiazepine use duration and dosage with punishable behaviors among participants who received benzodiazepines. Results After propensity score matching, benzodiazepine prescription was not significantly associated with any punishable behavior. Among detained persons who took benzodiazepines, there was no significant association of dosage and duration of use with offenses involving illicit or addictive substance use or trafficking. Conclusions Our study did not empirically support the occurrence of increased aggressive or disinhibited behaviors or increased risk of substance abuse in detained persons who received benzodiazepines in prison. This suggests a need to reconsider restrictions in prescribing benzodiazepines in the prison setting.

To study the relationship of parents' attitudes towards teachers, school, and education with the academic achievement of their children, a questionnaire was given to the parents of 1021 Standard 7 pupils (369 boys and 652 girls) randomly chosen from the Standard 7/Year 9 population of 14,765 boys and 26,109 girls. Analysis of variance indicated a positive relationship between parents' attitudes and the academic achievement of their children regardless of whether the children's parents were deceased or alive.

Задачей данной статьи является рассмотрение лингвопрагматических особенностей комментариев пользователей социальной сети «Твиттер» на выход Великобритании из ЕС. Анализ данных комментариев с лингвопрагматической точки зрения представляет интерес, так как показывает наиболее актуальную картину отношения пользователей социальных сетей к произошедшему событию. Приоритетными методами анализа лингвопрагматического потенциала Интернет-комментариев для нас являются: описательный метод, метод прагматического анализа, т.е. рассмотрение языкового материала в его непосредственном контексте в функциональном аспекте, метод частичной выборки, метод контекстологического описания. Контекстуальный метод был использован с целью установления особенностей комментариев в среде социальной сети «Твиттер»; описательный метод - для выявления непосредственного отношения пользователей социальных сетей к выходу Великобритании из ЕС; частичной выборки - для отбора наиболее эффективных и целостных комментариев с позиции прагматики и их реализации в данном контексте. Проведённое исследование позволило установить, что большинство людей удовлетворено результатами выхода Великобритании из ЕС и положительно отзывается об этом событии. Об этом свидетельствует как большое количество экспрессивов, использованных в интернет-комментариях в отношении данного события, так и активное употребление в них оценочной лексики. Результаты проведённого исследования могут быть применены в теоретических работах по описанию характеристик речевых актов, в курсе теоретической грамматики, стилистики, прагмалингвистики. The purpose of this article is to review the linguo-pragmatic features of Brexit represented in the comments in Twitter. Their analysis from a linguistic-pragmatic point of view may be of interest, since it shows the most relevant picture of the relationship of social network users for the event. The priority methods for analyzing the linguo-pragmatic potential of Internet comments for us are: a descriptive method, a pragmatic analysis method, i.e. consideration of linguistic material in its immediate context in the functional aspect, partial sampling method, contextual description method. The contextual method was used to establish the characteristics of comments on the Twitter social network; descriptive method was used to identify the direct relationship of social network users to the UK exit from the EU; partial sampling was used to select the most effective and holistic comments from the position of pragmatics and their implementation in this context. The study found that most people are satisfied with the results of the UK exit from the EU and respond positively to this event. The results of the study can be applied in theoretical works on the description of the characteristics of speech acts, in the course of theoretical grammar, stylistics, pragmalinguistics.
