Lead concentration greater than 10 µg/L make health problem among other thing decrease in intelligence, nervous system disorders, so lead rapid analysis with high accuracy and precision is needed. The aim of this research are to know the composition of ESI-Pb2+ membrane silver wire coated type PVC/1,10-dibenzyl-1,10-diaza-18-crown-6, optimum pH condition and to study the characteristic electrode, such as Factor Nernst, range measurement, limit detection, accuracy and precision, selectivity, and blood serum sample accuracy. The result has shown that potensial measurement with Ag/AgCl reference electrode give the best membrane composition of 45 mg PVC, 90 mg NPOE, 10 mg KTCPB, 5 mg 1,10-dibenzyl-1,10-diaza-18-crown-6 in 0,5 ml THF solution. The optimum pH is 3-7 and gave 29,64 mV as Factor Nernst with range measurement 10-1–10-6 M, limit detection was noted at 1,28.10-6 M, and accuracy is 73% - 157% in 10-6–10-1 M Pb2+ solution with variation coefficient 0,70–1,2. The selectivity constanta is K_(i,j)^Pot < 1 toward K+, Ca2+, Mg2+, Na+, Cu2+ dan Fe3+ as interfering ions. Recovery percentage of Ion Selective Electrode Pb2+ silver wire coated type with PVC /1,10-dibenzyl-1,10-diaza-18-crown-6 to blood serum sample has shown 95% - 143% and 110%-117% compare with AAS.

In this study, a 32-month-old Holstein cow that had a calving and common Bovine papillomavirus (BPV)-induced wart on its teats was treated. For this purpose, BPV antigen presence in blood serum sample from the animal was studied by ELISA and was revealed as positive. Magistral drug containing podophyllin active substance was applied topically on teat warts of the animal. Applications were performed for all teat warts once in three days during 27 days. Eight hours after applying the drug, teats were washed with sterile water. Warts on teat were proved to have regressed and dried out on the day 27th. The same animal was given papilloma autologous vaccine prepared from warts coming off from the teat on the day 28th. As a result of the vaccination, teats showed full recovery from warts. Finally, it is recommended that using podophyllin formulations topical and autologous vaccine applications together in treating teat warts caused by BPV.

This research work was conducted to detect the prevalence and incidence of Avian Influenza Virus (AIV) in Duck at hoar area of Kishorganj district in Bangladesh. The study period was July 2013 to December 2013 and the molecular work was done in Central Disease Investigation Laboratory (CDIL), Dhaka. A total number of 736 blood serum sample and 150 cloacal swab sample were collected from asymptomatic semi scavenging duck above 4 month of age. Blood serum sample was tested to detect the prevalence of Avian Influenza Virus A (AIV) specific antibody through indirect Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent Essay (ELISA) and cloacal sample was tested to detect the incidence of AIV through real time Polymerase Chain reaction (PCR). A total number of 736 blood serum sample were tested in which 684 is positive (+ve) of Avian Influenza type A antibody and 52 are negative (-ve) of Avian Influenza type A. The prevalence rate was 92.93%. The tested result shown that prevalence rate was in 4-6 month of age as 93.96%, as 7-9 month of age as 92.92 % and in 10-12 month of age as 91.91%. A total number of 15 pooling sample from 75 cloacal samples was conducted for detection of AIV that shed in environment. After calculating the result through real time Reverse Transcription (RT) - PCR, it was shown that 2 pooling sample was positive (13.33%) for AIV and 13 pooling sample was negative (86.87%) for AIV. So incidence rate was 13.33% for AIV. This duck can transmit the AIV in the surrounding poultry population and clinical outbreaks may occur. After analysis of ELISA & PCR result it was shown that duck act as a natural reservoir of AIV in Bangladesh.Asian J. Med. Biol. Res. March 2018, 4(1): 14-20

Aim: Although the levels of cardiac troponin I (cTnI) have proved to be a useful diagnostic biomarker of acute myocardial infarction, there are a wide variety of point-of-care (POC) analysers, which provide measurements of cTnI. The aim of this study was to compare the results obtained by the ADVIA Centaur ultra-assay cTnI assay (us-cTnI), ADVIA Centaur high-sensitive cTnI assay (hs-cTnI) and a POC high-sensitivity assay using PATHFAST. We also aimed to explore total turnaround time (TAT) for laboratory results using the POC PATHFAST analyser. Methods: Samples from 161 patients were taken. Of these samples, 129 were tested with all three assays (us-cTnI, hs-cTnI and PATHFAST), and 32 samples were tested on PATHFAST for the comparison of whole blood, serum and plasma. Results: Comparison of the POC testing methods in this study demonstrated that there are strong linear relationships between all three cTnI assays (us-cTnI, hs-cTnI and POC on PATHFAST). Furthermore, we also show there are strong linear relationships between the two high-sensitive cTnI assays (hs-cTnI and PATHFAST) for blood serum samples, as determined by Passing–Bablok regression analyses. In our comparison of our new data with our older study, the TAT went down. Conclusion: The timeliness of laboratory results is, in addition to accuracy and precision, one of the key indicators of laboratory performance, and at the same time has a significant impact on the course of the patient’s condition. It is therefore important that the laboratory strives to meet the expectations of clinicians regarding the time from the order to the result of the analysis.

As in 1907, Myriyeg and Dossman discovered a new property of blood serum to inhibit the proteolytic action of leukocytes and trypsin, so to speak, the antiproteolytic, or antitripsic property of blood serum, the latter underwent numerous observed directions. Studies, especially of the late time, have established both the amount of this anti-body in the blood of normal people, and its fluctuations in various pathological states of the body. At the same time, it turned out that from all painful processes with the greatest constancy of an increase in antitrypsin, the blood of cancer patients possessed the greatest constancy.

The article describes the results of studies to determine the difference in the electrochemical potentials of the indicator electrode in blood serum samples from healthy and infected with BLV animals before and after the formation of the CEC "in vitro". In the blood serum of healthy cows, potentiometric parameters change after the addition of the BLV antigen by no more than 0.05 units, and in blood serum samples from cows infected with the virus, under the same conditions, by 0.15 or more units. Measurement of the potential of the indicator electrode in the studied blood serum sample before and after the formation of immune complexes can serve as the basis for diagnostic studies in cattle leukemia and other infectious diseases.

For the first time in Ukraine we confirmed canine brucellosis caused by Brucella canis. The bacterium was isolated from testicles of three-year-old male Labrador retriever with orchitis and epididymitis. Initially blood serum sample was positive in cCFT, AGID and LFIA. In addition to the pathogen isolation and identification by biochemical test and PCR, the antimicrobial susceptibility test was performed that showed sensitive of B. canis to the commonly used antibiotics, which should be taken into account for the further therapy
