This study aims to develop learning for Islamic education subjects based on reasoning and problem solving. The inquiry method is reasoning-based learning and problem solving that should be actualized in order to develop Islamic education learning, because Islamic education is in a strategic position in the formation of a complete human being to develop reason, knowledge, intelligence, skills, noble character, and personality. Based on the challenges of the times, Islamic Religion teachers are expected to have new innovations related to their learning. Meanwhile, in the community itself, there are many criticisms aimed at the implementation of Islamic religious learning, because it tends to memorize, and lacks reasoning. In fact, many studies show that, Islamic education are just secondary subjects that are not important. In the end, this study found that the inquiry method stimulates students to think, analyze a problem, and find a solution. Inquiry learning emphasizes the development of cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects in a balanced manner which can provide space for students to learn according to their style. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan pengembangan pembelajaran bagi mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam berbasis penalaran dan pemecahan masalah. Metode inquiry adalah pembelajaran berbasis penalaran dan pemecahan masalah yang seharusnya diaktualisasikan dalam rangka mengembangkan pembelajaran Pendidkan Agama Islam. Pasalnya, Pendidikan Agama Islam berada di tempat strategis dalam pembentukan manusia secara utuh untuk mengembangkan akal, pengetahuan, kecerdasan, keterampilan, akhlak mulia, dan kepribadian. Di tengah tantangan zaman, guru Agama Islam diharapkan memiliki inovasi-inovasi baru terkait dengan pembelajaran. Sementara itu, di tengah masyarakat sendiri masih banyak kritik-kritik yang ditujukan pada pelaksanaan pembelajaran agama Islam, karena cenderung pada hafalan, dan kurang penalaran. Bahkan, banyak penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, mata pelajaran pendidikan Agama Islam hanyalah mata pelajaran sampingan yang tidak penting. Pada akhirnya, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa, metode inquiry merangsang murid untuk berpikir, menganalisa suatu persoalan, hingga menemukan pemecahannya. Inquiry learning menekankan kepada pengembangan aspek kognitif, afektif dan psikomotor secara seimbang yang dapat memberi ruang kepada siswa untuk belajar sesuai gaya mereka.

Advances in science and technology are motivating the teachers to use technology in the teaching process. Teaching through media technology seemed to enhance capabilities among learners. The educational media used should be adapted to the development and demands of the times. Using the right educational media in the process of learning to teach will make it easier to attain learning goals. The purpose of this article is to describe modern educational media used in this technological age and compare it with those that were used in Islamic education system since the initial days of spread of religion Islam. The research method used in this discussion is descriptive. The result attained form this discussion seemed to identify that in the early days of the spread of Islam, the educational media was used for the enhancement of teaching and teaching process and these technological medias were used by the by the Messenger of Allah, the Holy Prophet Muhammad (صلی اللہ علیہ و آلہ وسلم). The Holy Prophet Muhammad ((صلی اللہ علیہ و آلہ وسلم) used media while teaching the knowledge and rules of Islamic religion to the holy companions (صحابہ رضوان اللہ علیہ). In addition, in the hadith حدیت مبارکہ)) there are several terms used to indicate the use of educational media in learning, such as pictures, gravel, and fingers hands. The conclusion of this article is that the educational media seemed to influence learning aptitude of the learners. The use of media technology appeared to be inevitable for complete and accurate learning process. Media is an impactful and credible learning source of information to get the end result in the learning process.

Management of Islamic education in pesantren needs to return to its historical roots in order to confirm the identity, character, distinctiveness and uniqueness. There is a spirit that is timeless, even the underlying model of ideal education in the contemporary era. Development of Islamic epistemology for education should be able to give birth to a generation of Muslims who worships in the field of religion and experts in the field of science and technology. pesantren as an educational institution of Islam with a good management should be able to play its role to achieve this goal. Whereas in fact there who think that pesantren have not been able to put its strategic position in the development of science in accordance with the times. Nevertheless, the existence of Islamic educational institutions such as pesantren is evidence that pesantren have been organized in a good management so that it can survive in changing times from time to time. More precisely knowing Islamic education management in pesantren from the perspective of epistemology may illustrate that pesantren will continue to be needed to confront the changing times.

This study provides an overview of the importance of massive reform in the Curriculum ofIslamic Religious Education at the Faculty of Islam, Muhammadiyah Gresik University. This reform isneeded so that the FAI UMG PAI curriculum can answer the challenges and demands of the times thatcontinue to change globally. Besides, this deafness also poured out the results of a solution to Islamicreligious education in the face of the Era of Industrial Revolution 4.0. As it is known, that the Era of theIndustrial Revolution 4.0 had a broad impact on all lines of life, including in the field of education,especially Islamic education. The era that gave birth to this disruption phenomenon demanded the worldof Islamic religious education to participate in adjusting. Graduates of Islamic education are now facedwith new challenges, demands, and needs that have never existed before. So it is necessary to updateand innovate the system, governance, curriculum, human resource competencies, facilities andinfrastructure, culture, work ethic, and others. Otherwise, Islamic religious education will beincreasingly left behind and outdated. Therefore, it is necessary to look for concrete steps for Islamicreligious education in order to be able to remain competitive in this disruption era. Abstract:  Education is a solution for all problems that emerge in the society, as well Islamic education and religious approach are also considered having a strategic position in the public. In the context of environmental problems that always be the treath of human life, Islamic education by its socio-ecological approach become essential in human relation to the environmenal study. The purpose of this article is scrutinizing the conseptual frame of socio-ecological education into the context of Islamic education as the answer of the environmental issues faced by human being. The existence of socio-ecological education discourse in Islamic education context is expected to contribute both academic and praxis in educational view, especially Islamic education. Theoretically, ecological education has four foundational concepts that became the central of our understanding in socio-ecological education, namely, lived experience, place, experiental pedagogies, agency and active participation. Socio-ecological education in Islamic perspective is expected to treat people as the agent of  humanism and ecocentism in ecological discourse.الملخص: تبدأ هذه المقالة  بالافتراض أن التربية  هي حلول لكل مشاكل المجتمع, وكذلك التربية الاسلامية  بنهج دينيتها ولها ايضا  موقع استراتيجي حول المجتمع.  وفى سياق قضية البيئة  التى تهدد حياة الانسان  فالتربية الاسلامية  بنهج ايكولوجيا الاجتماعية  مهمة جدا فى بحث  علاقة الإنسانية مع البيئة. والهدف من هذه المقالة  هو وضع الاطار المفاهيمي لتربية الايكولوجي الاجتماعية فى ضوء التربية الاسلامية  ووضع هذاالمفهوم بحلول مشاكل البيئة الإنسانية. كانت التربية الإسلامية والتربية الايكولوجي الاجتماعية موضوعين رئيسيين اللذين ستؤخد منهما صياغة المفاهيم المثالية ليستجيب مسائل البيئة. بوجود البحث عن التربية الايكولوجي الاجتماعية فى سياق التربية الاسلامية فيتوقع منه المساهمة الأكاديمية و التطبيقية  للتربية خصوصا التربية الاسلامية. والتربية الايكولوجي الاجتماعية من الناحية النظرية لها أربع نظريّات أساسية وهي تجربة الحياة وغرفة الدراسة  والتجربة التربوية و وكلاء مع المشاركة في الأنشطة. والتربية الايكولوجية الاجتماعية فى سياق التربية الاسلامية ستضع الإنسان فى موضع بين الإنسانية و المركزية فى ضوء البحث البيئة.Abstrak: Pendidikan merupakan solusi dari semua persoalan yang mengemuka di tengah-tengah masyarakat. Pendidikan Islam dengan pendekatan keagamaan juga memiliki posisi strategis di tengah-tengah masyarakat. Dalam konteks permasalahan lingkungan yang mengancam kehidupan manusia, pendidikan Islam dengan pendekatan ekologi-sosial menjadi penting dalam kajian hubungan manusia dengan lingkungan. Tulisan ini bertujuan meletakkan kerangka konseptual pendidikan ekologi-sosial dalam konteks pendidikan Islam, dan meletakanya sebagai jawaban pendidikan Islam dengan pendekatan pendidikan ekologi-sosial terhadap persoalan lingkungan yang dihadapi manusia. Dua tema yang berupa pendidikan Islam dan pendidikan ekologi-sosial menjadi pokok bahasan utama untuk ditarik sintesa yang berupa formulasi konseptual yang ideal untuk merespons persoalan lingkungan yang terjadi. Diskursus pendidikan ekologi-sosial dalam konteks pendidikan Islam diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi akademis maupun praksis bagi dunia pendidikan, khususnya pendidikan Islam. Secara konseptual pendidikan ekologi-sosial memiliki empat konsep mendasar yaitu: pengalaman hidup (lived experience), ruang belajar (place), pengalaman pedagogis, agen dan partisipasi aktif. Pendidikan ekologi-sosial dalam prespektif pendidikan Islam diharapkan akan memposisikan manusia dalam sintesis diantara humanisme dan ekosentrisme dalam prespektif diskursus ekologi.

Leadership is the spearhead of the management of Islamic education. In essence every human being is a leader for himself, responsible for what happens to himself. Islam has the Messenger of Allah SWT as an example of a true leader. As khalifah fil ardh, man has the nature that exists in him to lead, both himself or an organization. The figure of the leader in the management of Islamic education is a prime mover figure and determinant in which direction an educational organization goes. Ulul alab leader character is a leader who has a high intellectual, always remaind and pray to Allah SWT. The main point in determining the figure of a leader in the management of Islamic education is the leader who leads in accordance with the teachings of the Islamic religion and the objectives of Islamic education.

AbstractThis study is a survey of Islamic religious study at school aimed to know the category of school library, know the existence of Islamic religion library, know the user and initiator of Islamic education library in schools. The data was acquired by questionnaire through respondents namely principals, teachers of religion and officers of library and the students. The research shows that there are 4 categories of religion library in school namely independent library, combined with school library, combined with mosque and combined with religious education laboratory. The determining figures in initiating and developing school education library are the principal and religion teacher. The collections of the library are still limited and inadequate. The main users are religion teachers and students to achieve the learning objectives. AbstrakPenelitian ini merupakan survei terhadap perpustakaan pendidikan agama Islam di sekolah. Tujuannya adalah untuk mengetahui kategori perpustakaan sekolah, mengetahui keberadaan perpustakaan pendidikian agama Islam di sekolah, mengetahui pengguna dan pemrakarsa perpustakaan pendidikan agama Islam di sekolah. Data diperoleh menggunakan angket melalui responden, yakni: kepala sekolah, guru agama, dan petugas perpustakaan sekolah, dan siswa. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: terdapat 4 kategori perpustakaan pendidikan agama di sekolah, yakni: perpustakaan yang berdiri sendiri, bergabung dengan perpustakaan sekolah, bergabung dengan musholah atau mesjid sekolah, dan yang bergabung dengan laboratorium pendidikan agama. Tokoh yang menentukan dalam memprakarsai dan mengembangkan perpustakaan pendidikan agama di sekolah adalah Kepala sekolah dan guru agama. Koleksi bahan pustaka keagamaan masih sangat kurang dan terbatas. Pengguna utama dari perpustakaan adalah guru agama dan siswa dalam rangka mendukung pencapaian tujuan pembelajaran.

The character of a nation is a benchmark of the success of education in a nation and state. Because in essence the main purpose of education is to make humans mature. Meanwhile, Islam is a religion that emphasizes the importance of the formation of the character, because the Prophet Muhammad actually said I was sent to perfect morals. The purpose of this research is to find out about how to build the character of a nation based on Islamic education. Implementation of Islamic learning in schools in Jakarta. The focus of the application of Islamic religious education materials that can improve the character of the nation. The research methodology used is a descriptive qualitative research method using data sources from the literature review and field research directly to the school. Research finding that the  quality of Islamic education that is integrated with all existing lessons will have an impact on the nation's character. National education is realized in creating people who have faith and are dedicated to God who is almighty, independent, honest, healthy, able to keep up with the times and be responsible.

This thesis entitled "The efforts of Islamic Religion teachers in increasing the motivation to learn Islamic Islamic education at SMP Negeri 2 Sei Kanan District, Labuhan Batu Selatan Regency." So the problem in this research is that there are students who skip class when the learning process is taking place, lazy to do assignments, noisy in the room. And the lack of hours of PAI subjects.In the above problem, this study aims to determine the description of what Islamic Religion teachers have done in increasing students 'motivation to learn Islamic Islamic education in SMP Negeri 2 Sei Kanan District, Labuhan Batu Selatan Regency, the efforts made by Islamic Religion teachers in increasing students' motivation to learn Islamic Islamic education in SMP Negeri 2 Keamatan. Sei Kanan, Labuhan Batu Selatan Regency, and the obstacles faced by Islamic Religion Teachers in increasing students' PAI Learning Motivation at SMP Negeri 2 Sei Kanan District, Labuhan Batu Selatan Regency.In this study, a qualitative research was used using descriptive methods, namely a method that describes the symptoms found in the field. By using data collection instruments consisting of observation, interviews and documentation.From the results of the researcher and the discussion, it was concluded that the efforts made by Islamic Religion Teachers in Increasing Student Motivation for Islamic Education in SMP Negeri 2 Sei Kanan District, Labuhan Batu Selatan Regency were giving praise, giving tests, giving numbers or assessments, knowing learning outcomes and giving punishment . Then the obstacle faced by Islamic Religious Education teachers is the lack of subject hours, but Islamic Religion teachers try to optimize that little time, namely by holding additional lessons once a week, then dealing with students who are lazy to do assignments, this is where the most difficult obstacles to face The Islamic Religion teacher, however, the Islamic Religion teacher is patient in dealing with students who do not do their job. And there are also students who are noisy when the learning process is taking place, and going in and out of the room, this is disturbing the concentration of the student's learning

Ali Bin Abi Talib once said that children should be educated in accordance with the  development of the times. The Ali bin Abi Talib’s statement could be considered as his attention more to the development of human civilization. For that reason, there should be studies focused on the role of educational institutions in facing the challenges of the times. On this stand, the writer raises the existence of pesantren (Islamic boarding schools) for being considered to have been able to survive amid the onslaught of civilization increasingly obscuring cultural identity. In addition, this study also aims to identify and discuss the role of pesantren in the modern era. This is a literature study using a descriptive and exploratory approach. It can be concluded that pesantren are non-formal Islamic educational institutions. Pesantren have permanent and distictive methods and learning models. The purpose of pesantren education is the same as Islamic education in general, instilling a sense of virtue, familiarizing themselves with courtesy, preparing for a holy, sincere and honest life entirely. Pesantren could be seen from three aspects: (a) pesantren that are seen from facilities and infrastructures, (b) pesantren that are seen from disciplines taught, and (c) pesantren that are seen from the fields of knowledge.

Multicultural Education In Curriculum Design and Islamic Religious Learning. Multicultural education is a contemporary educational paradigm that needs to be responded by Islamic educational institutions. As a religion, Islam has a very strong root of multicultural education. In the context of Indonesia, the concept of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika is a collective agreement on the values of universal unity in diversity living with the values of rahmatan lil ‘alamin that need to be developed through practices and traditions of Islamic education in Indonesia. Integrative design of curriculum and learning becomes one of the important alternatives considered as an effort to instill multicultural values through the school system. The open attitude of the teachers, the availability of teaching materials, the supportive school environment, and the pattern of teacher training with multicultural insight become the supporting factors of effective implementation of multicultural education in schools and madrasah.
