The subject of the author's research is the development of transnational corporations (TNCs) as an organic component of modern international economic integration and globalization processes. The concept and features of TNCs are characterized. A brief historical overview of the formation and development of corporate transnationalism is proposed. Statistics on the largest TNCs are presented and analyzed. On the one hand, positive aspects of the impact of TNCs on the development of the world economy and its national components were identified, and on the other hand, the negative consequences of the expansion of these corporations for both host countries and home countries of TNCs. The relationship between TNCs and sovereign States is considered in many aspects. Thus, based on the analysis of the instruments of influence of the companies under consideration on the normative activities of the States, a shift from the interstate to the corporate legal field was recorded. One of the subjects of the article is mega regional trade agreements of a new type as a factor of increasing the contradictory impact of TNCs on the development of the world economy and its national components.

By applying the thesis about branding as a modificer of consumer behavior under the impact of cardinal changes of the world economy this paper extends our understanding of branding dualism that could lead to sustainable consumption as well as to unsustainable one. The purpose of this paper is to provide knowledge about impacts of two megatrends of the modern world economy on consumer behavior while the world/domestic product market is transforming into the simulacra market, and to contribute to the current discourse about marketing ideology (in other terms — consumerism), irrational consumption, and overconsumption that are stemmed from the profit-oriented marketing wherein the branding plays a role of the powerful booster of unsustainable consumption. Finally, an appeal to academia has been made to search for effective ways to apply branding tools for achieving the goal of sustainable consumption and production. Thematic content analysis explores multiple (mainly international) sources focused on topics of sustainable development, digital transformation, semiotics and emerging simulacrum market, dualism of branding, marketing ideology and consumerism related to modifying the model of consumer behavior. These sources were analyzed through a sustainable development goals lens. Th e research has identified two directions of the branding impact on consumer behavior due to the phenomenon of branding dualism — towards the sustainable consumption or vice versa depending on accepting or rejecting the sustainability branding strategy, respectively. By applying semantic concepts, the simulacra market paradigm diff erent from the real market paradigm is used to assess contemporary changes in consumer behavior. This unconventional investigation into the branding dualism, including the impact of the above-mentioned trends on it, extends the understanding of the marketing up to the sphere of consumer society ideology and highlights the importance of sustainability branding for achieving the goal of sustainable consumption. By integrating semantics concepts into the marketing discipline, this paper explores the dual role of branding in modifying the model of consumption under the impact of world economy megatrends and provides suggestions for business and academia about how best to overcome perceived barriers to sustainable consumption. These insights have relevance to dissimilarities between social consequences of branding in the frame of micromarketing and macromarketing or macrosocial marketing and could help alter consumption practices to make them more sustainable.

Margaret Thatcher’s artistic heritage is one of the most vivid manifestations of topicality of conservative movement as the modern evaluation system of the world political reality. The conservative and later neoconservative ideological complexes were developed with maximum accuracy for the latest world reality in the perspective and retrospective.Margaret Thatcher’s research object and conservative evaluation object are very broad systemically and include the questions of the «Cold War» evaluation, the role of the USA as the superpower and world leader, the Asia and Europe achievements and values, the world conflicts, the role of modern national state and the anomaly of state development, terrorism, religion and human rights.Margaret Thatcher takes into account the fact that globalization and regionalization problems are basic questions and most important tendencies of the world development. Margaret Thatcher’s evaluation is entirely conservative and at the same time somewhat emotional, it corresponds to ideological conviction if it is dictated by the reality and the productivity of idea.In the part of retrospective analysis of the theory Margaret Thatcher underlines the role of technical and technological revolution in political and economic world development and the role of empire as a forming factor of world globalization model of political space organization. This model was used for British Empire expansion.Margaret Thatcher doesn’t exaggerate the significance of economic factors for the formation of globalization processes, their current and perspective conditions. The economic part of world development processes became a driving force and the «locomotive» of the world history of telecommunicate revolution. After the achievement of triumph by these tendencies the economic globalization processes gave way to political ones as the most important ones. Conservatives consider political processes to be system organizing and system transforming factors under any condition. Probably the complex and systemic evaluation of the globalization processes by conservatism doctrine is adjusted by the marginal modifications of world political space changes. Conservative research takes into consideration the meaning and character of changes of world political space or any fragment of this space for working out the most accurate estimate.Margaret Thatcher notes the bifurcation of world development in the period of formation of new tendencies and affirms that it is a new source of antagonisms as a driving force of further development. At the same time the ambiguity of economic role of globalization cannot be reduced to the indiscriminate capitalism criticism. Capitalism is not criticized as the way of production and the way of organization of global economy. On the contrary, capitalism as any other world economy organization model is a benefit if it is based on the strategic government management. However, capitalistic bifurcation of world economy development demonstrates the rightfulness of neoconservative idea of «world power» importance in newest modern realities. Systematic and invariable success of states using this system of economic and political values, such as the USA, is the example. So, in this context globalization processes determine the nature of world order and represent driving forces and factors of its further development and possible transformation in the conditions of changing globalization nature.Margaret Thatcher summarizes the globalization meaning and notes the necessity to glorify the triumph of global capitalism based on the free business activity, though shocks are inevitable. Margaret Thatcher also considers important actions aimed at making the profits from free trade accessible to all states in the world. The terrorism is a main problem of modern policy. Thus, the conservatism in Margaret Thatcher’s work appears as one of the most promising socio-political movements of modern world. The conservatism, as Margaret Thatcher summarizes, is able to explain the most difficult phenomena and contradictions of political reality and to suggest really promising political models and ideals.

This paper reveals the consequences of the unipolar system of the world economy provided by the United States leadership in the military-technological, financial-economic, geopolitical and information-ideological spheres. It was established that after the collapse of the socialist camp, the concepts of ‘humanitarian intervention’ and ‘spreading democracy’ were brought to the forefront. In practice, Western European countries have demonstrated their readiness to judge the solutions of domestic political disputes in other countries of the world, especially when it comes to geopolitically important countries. A series of ‘colour revolutions’ have become a demonstration of this policy. Therefore, the globalization of the modern world does not mean the homogenization of development indicators of countries’, but instead leads to further delamination and inequality. The gap between the world leaders and the rest of the world in terms of indicators reflecting the dynamics of the standard of living, the quality of life, scientific and technological progress, after the collapse of the Soviet Union, has significantly increased. It is illustrated that attempts of the US to consolidate its hegemony in the form of ‘leadership’ in the world had led to the erosion of international legal principles enshrined in the United Nations Charter. Therefore, the United States attempts to solve the problems in Iraq and Afghanistan unilaterally has failed. The objective and subjective signs of a global restructuring of the existing unipolar world system are revealed.

The article presents a synergetic interpretation of the nature, mechanism, and role of the Covid-19 pandemic as a fluctuation that has undergone nucleation in the global system. The choice of methodological bases of our research is due to the fact that synergetics is considered today one of the new promising ways to understand the processes taking place in society, in social systems at the turning points of their development. We assume that this Covid-19 pandemic became the critical fluctuation that quickly spread throughout the world. Today, the global system is in a state of imbalance, in which old connections and structures have been destroyed or are being destroyed, and new ones have not yet been formed. As a result, it fell into the bifurcation zone, where further development becomes unpredictable. The modern world is facing another challenge of history. Therefore, today it is extremely important to determine the range of possible attractors of further evolution of the global system and, at the same time, those that are achievable and favorable to humanity. From a philosophical point of view, we can talk about being that appears before our eyes, about the birth of a new reality in which we have to live. It was found that the synergetic methodology involves the creation (consciously) of the necessary conditions for the introduction into the system of the desired fluctuation with signs of a new desired quality, and promote its nucleation. This will lead to the formation of new organizational integrity and the transition to a new evolutionary channel of development. That is why today, various conspiracy theories about the origin of the Covid-19 pandemic are actively spreading. The attitude to them is ambiguous. However, several facts force us to analyze them and draw appropriate conclusions carefully. It is noted that the lack of reliable information does not yet allow us to give an unambiguous answer about the nature of this fluctuation. However, there is no doubt that it has become a powerful factor in forming a new reality, a bifurcation transition to a new – and, so far, not clearly defined – attractor of the evolution of the global system.

This paper analyses the role of transnational corporations in a country's economy within the global economy. Over the last two decades of the twentieth century, in the world economy, there has been a rapid increase in the number of corporations. The increasing number of corporations has come as a result of large investments and adequate business plans in line with market requirements. The bigger the company is, the bigger the field for action. This has in some way even determined the merging of various companies, which then have extended their influence on the world's major markets. Corporate empowerment has raised many other issues related to their economic activity such as: the issue of workers’ rights, the elimination of double taxation, the issue of monopolies by these corporations, the insurance of the capital of these corporations, up to eventual bankruptcy. Thus, all these issues raise dilemmas regarding the role and impact of corporations on the development trends of a country. The aim of this paper is to identify the impact of transnational corporations on the development of a country's economy. For the elaboration of the paper several scientific methods have been used, including the literature review and the analytical method for analysing data from the field.

The article analyzes the dynamics of consumption of primary energy and production of electrical energy in the world for 1973-2012 and the volume of renewable energy. It is shown that in the crisis year of 20 0 9 there was a significant reduction in primary energy consumption and production of electrical energy. At the same time, renewable energy has developed rapidly, well above the rate of the world economy growth. The development of renewable energy is one of the most effective ways out of the crisis, taking into account its production regime, energy, environmental, social and economic efficiency. The forecast for the development of renewable energy for the period up to 2020, compiled by the IEA, is analyzed. It is shown that its assessment rates are conservative; the authors justify higher rates of development of renewable energy.
