In Bangladesh, aquaculture has expanded, diversified, intensified and technologicallyadvanced due to the decline in fish production from the open water natural sources. Quality seedsare prime requirements for aquaculture production. Quality of seeds depends on the quality ofbroods used for spawning. Breeding performance depends on the quality of feeds and feedingmanagement during brood stock rearing. The present study focused on the evaluation of qualityof feed used in the fish farms, the performance of brood stock and fingerlings of selected carp, catfish and perch farmed in Bangladesh through a survey. On the basis of top fish productiondistricts, we divided the whole country into four hubs, such as Mymensingh, Jashore, Cumillaand Rajshahi. Data were collected from 300 individual respondents of commercial fish farms, 75from each hub. It has been found that most of the farm owners (91%) used commercial feedinstead of homemade feed, though a considerable number of respondents replied that quality ofhomemade feed was better than commercial feed. Although most of the farm owners collect fryfrom private/own hatcheries (69%), a considerable number of grow out farms owners replied thatthe fry of government hatcheries/brood bank, river and BFRI were better than private hatcheriesin terms of growth performance, disease resistance and survivability. Therefore, for sustainableaquaculture, farm owners should be careful for the selection of feed, brood and fingerling.

Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) is a telecommunications technology that is able to pass the communication service in Internet Protocol networks so as to allow communicating between users in an IP network. However VoIP technology still has weakness in the Quality of Service (QoS). VOPI weaknesses is affected by the selection of the physical servers used. In this research, VoIP is configured on Linux operating system with Asterisk as VoIP application server and integrated on a Raspberry Pi by using wired and wireless network as the transmission medium. Because of depletion of IPv4 capacity that can be used on the network, it needs to be applied to VoIP system using the IPv6 network protocol with supports devices. The test results by using a wired transmission medium that has obtained are the average delay is 117.851 ms, jitter is 5.796 ms, packet loss is 0.38%, throughput is 962.861 kbps, 8.33% of CPU usage and 59.33% of memory usage. The analysis shows that the wired transmission media is better than the wireless transmission media and wireless-wired.

The task of a recommender system evaluation has often been addressed in the literature, however there exists no consensus regarding the best metrics to assess its performance. This research deals with collaborative filtering recommendation systems, and proposes a new approach for evaluating the quality of neighbor selection. It theorizes that good recommendations emerge from good selection of neighbors. Hence, measuring the quality of the neighborhood may be used to predict the recommendation success. Since user neighborhoods in recommender systems are often sparse and differ in their rating range, this paper designs a novel measure to asses a neighborhood quality. First it builds the realization based entropy (RBE), which presents the classical entropy measure from a different angle. Next it modifies the RBE and propose the realization based distance entropy (RBDE), which considers also continuous data. Using the RBDE, it finally develops the consent entropy, which takes into account the absence of rating data. The paper compares the proposed approach with common approaches from the literature, using several recommendation evaluation metrics. It presents offline experiments using the Netflix database. The experimental results confirm that consent entropy performs better than commonly used metrics, particularly with high sparsity neighborhoods. Periods of unfavorable storing conditions can lead to changes in the quality of fish feeds, as well as the development of relevant mycotoxins. In the present study, a commercial fish feed was stored under defined conditions for four weeks. The main findings indicate that even storing fish feeds under unsuitable conditions for a short duration leads to a deterioration in quality. Mycotoxin and fungal contamination were subsequently analyzed. These investigations confirmed that different storage conditions can influence the presence of fungi and mycotoxins on fish feed. Notably, ochratoxin A (OTA) was found in samples after warm (25 °C) and humid (>60% relative humidity) treatment. This confirms the importance of this compound as a typical contaminant of fish feed and reveals how fast this mycotoxin can be formed in fish feed during storage.

We examine the effect of electoral institutions on two important features of representation that are often studied separately: policy responsiveness and the quality of legislators. Theoretically, we show that while a proportional electoral system is better than a majoritarian one at representing popular preferences in some contexts, this advantage can come at the price of undermining the selection of good politicians. To empirically assess the relevance of this trade-off, we analyze an unusually controlled electoral reform in Switzerland early in the twentieth century. To account for endogeneity, we exploit variation in the intensive margin of the reform, which introduced proportional representation, based on administrative constraints and data on voter preferences. A difference-in-difference analysis finds that higher reform intensity increases the policy congruence between legislators and the electorate and reduces legislative effort. Contemporary evidence from the European Parliament supports this conclusion.

Studies were designed to highlight the quality of sheep skins obtained from the new formed race. The biological material examined was owned by private farms in the North-East of Romania. To emphasize the aesthetic and commercial value of sheep skin were analyzed more properties on which depends this production quality, and working methods used were those accepted in Karakul sheep selection in Romania. Researches were based on the collection, processing and interpretation of data obtained as a result of buckling quality assessment at the Karakul lambs, black variety, produced in 2009 calving season. All traits were assessed in daylight and after investigations it was found that from the total of 986 lambs were subjected to assessments about 98.27% was a black color associated with a high gloss. Also, to the estimated group, the size of loops can be seen in an advanced stage of improvement, because about 90% of sheep produce sheep skins with loops of size and appearance was in full compliance with quality requirements for all types of loops in black variety. The results reached confirms that sheep skins, overall, has some qualitative features of buckling expressed at a higher level. This fact is primarily due to rigorous selection of sires and directing mating. All these actions, conducted at a sustained level, had a direct influence on the quality of biological material retained for breeding and they had facilitated growth of aesthetic and commercial value of sheep skins on next generations.

The use of feeding habitats by breeding Eurasian wigeon (Anas penelope) was studied in two lakes in western Norway in 1983 and 1988. During the early and late breeding periods of both years, wigeon preferred to feed on agricultural fields surrounding parts of the lakes. Most individuals preferred to feed among emergent hydrophytes, whereas open water was used less than expected. Beds of floating hydrophytes were not used during the early period but were used in proportion to their availability during the late period. Use of and preference for feeding habitats varied among individuals and lakes and between years. Temporary availability of foods is the most important factor in the birds' selection of terrestrial and aquatic feeding habitats during the breeding season. Because one of the lakes has undergone eutrophication, which has affected the use of feeding habitats by wigeon between years, I suggest that the quality of feeding habitats in this lake can be improved by artificially removing the dense aquatic vegetation that covers much of the surface area. Improvement of the surrounding agricultural fields is another management alternative that could benefit grazing wigeon.

The quality of an artificial feed particularly the stability of the feed in the water is highly determined by binding agents. The objective of this study was to determine the optimum dosage of seaweed, Gracilaria gigas meal as binder. Completely randomized design was used in this study, with three dosages of sea weed meal as treatment feeds, i.e. 3, 6, and 9%, with three replications. The control feed was a commercial feed. The physical parameters measured were water stability, hardness level, homogeneity level, sinking rate, attractiveness, and palatability of the feed, and the chemical parameters were protein and lipid dispersion. Based on parameters of hardness level, homogeneity level, protein and lipid dispersion, feed used G. gigas meal of 9% was better than the commercial feed; parameters of sinking rate, attractiveness, and palatability with G. gigas of 9% was equal to the commercial feed; and based on parameters of water stability, the commercial feed was better than treatment feeds. However, when the three treatment feeds were compared, the 9% dosage of G. gigas meal was better than the other two dosages. Based on the results, the feed using seaweed, G. gigas meal of 9% was the best feed.

Key words: Artificial feed, binder, feed quality, G. gigas meal

An experiment was carried out to comparative analysis of nutritional quality of different fish feed from different feed dealers and industries in greater Noakhali region and to compare the values with those provided by the manufacturers. The feed samples were collected from different feed industries and dealer's shop of these region. Feed samples were collected during 10 August to 5 September, 2016. The collected feed samples were stored and analyzed in the Fish Nutrition Laboratory of the Department of Aquaculture in the Faculty of Fisheries, Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU), Mymensingh for proximate composition (moisture, ash, crude protein, crude lipid, crude fiber, carbohydrate) following standard methods. Results showed that there was significant variation between analyzed and company provided nutritive values of different feeds. Some feed samples have low moisture level (difference 0.7 to 3.3%). Ash content of the experimental samples also show a variety of results compared to their labeled composition. Only some feed have more values to the company provided values, such as, Mega starter (12.13%) and Bengal grower (12.75) proportion with 12%. Some feed contains more difference range of 6.01% more than labeled values is RP feed (20.01%). Maximum feed samples had lower crude protein (difference 0.05 to 4.65%) than the company provided protein values. However, only crude protein of Bengal finisher (29.95%) and Aftab grower (28.07%) feeds were found to be almost same to the company provided nutritive values (30% and 28%). The lipid, ash and carbohydrates contents of the experimental samples also have a difference range. The highest lipid values are available in Provita starter (9.76%) and lowest values containing feed Setu grower (4.33%). The highest carbohydrates content in the feed Provita starter (36.84%). The findings of this study demonstrated that low quality commercial fish feeds were supplied to the fish farmers by majority of feed companies. Therefore, the study will generate some information to the farmers which will help to choose the best feed for their aquaculture production. Asian Australas. J. Food Saf. Secur. 2019, 3(1), 1-14

This paper presents the results obtained in testing of new selection of four most important and most common species of legumes used for animal feeds in Serbia. Alfalfa, red clover, bird's trefoil and sainfoin are also high quality plants regarding both nutritive substances and yield of dry matter. We have investigated three new selections of alfalfa, two selections of red clover, two selections of bird's trefoil and one of sainfoin in relation to standard ones. Trial lasted two years (2003-2004), designed according to standard methods for testing and recognition of new sorts. The production of green mass through four cuts per year was determined, together with the variation coefficient among cultivars. In the cuts of the second year the quality parameters were determined by standard lab analyses. The content of protein in all three new selections of alfalfa was higher in relation to standard (16,01%). while the standard of red clover with 20,03% was better than new selection. New selections of bird's trefoil are of better quality than standard (22,08 %), which is the case also with sainfoin (19,71 %). On the basis of obtained production and quality parameters the assortment of perennial legumes will be enriched by new cultivars.

This study aims at pointing out the impact of "lobby mode" versus that of "analytical mode" on developing cognitive skills, quality of production and usability of the model system; all through using Adobe Connect. An achievement was developed and it consisted of 20 lexicon to measure the cognitive skills of instructional infographic design. In addition, an assessment card has been used to assess the final production in terms of quality. The card is composed of 44 texts designed to measure the quality of infographic. Besides, a measuring scale has been founded, that is composed of 55 phrases distributed among five areas; thus to measure the usability of using the virtual classroom module. The study focus groups were randomly selected of the students of Educational Technology Program, specifically, second semester of an academic year 2016/2017. Forty students have been selected and divided into two experimental groups. In terms of usability, results of the study showed up that the analytical model has been proven better than the lobby one in managing a virtual classroom using adobe connect system; whereas same results highlighted a no statistically documented difference between both models in terms of cognitive skills related to instructional infographic design together with level a d quality of production.
