This integrative literature review was conducted to assess the compliance to community infection control standards during the Covid-19 pandemic. As countries struggle to contain Covid-19 and its effects on social and economic aspects of life, non-pharmacologic interventions are seen as a viable option to mitigate the pandemic. This review aims to explore the level and extent to which the community perform health practices as well as the factors that affect compliance to these preventive measures. A systematic search of literatures that was published during 2020 and 2021 that addressed the health practice towards mitigating this pandemic as well as their compliance was included in this literature review. Whittemore and Knafl’s procedure in conducting integrative literature review was utilized. After critical appraisal of these literatures using the Quality Assessment Tool for Qualitative Studies, 4 studies were then included. Overall, studies reveal that health practices to mitigate Covid-19 are highly practiced. This finding is relation to the adequate knowledge of the community towards these preventive measures. However, despite having enough knowledge and awareness on the various information regarding the existence of the Coronavirus disease, the people in the community still need to enhance their knowledge along COVID 19 issues to minimize the risk of having the virus. Key words: Compliance, Community, Infection Control Standards, Covid-19.

World Health Organization (WHO) merekomendasikan anak memperoleh ASI ekslusif selama 6 bulan pasca lahir.

AbstractConventional wisdom suggests that those who assess healthcare processes and outcomes always should stratify cases by severity of illness; however, infection control personnel should analyze each quality assessment tool with and without severity adjustment and determine whether such adjustment is necessary. This article briefly reviews severity adjustments for diseases or procedures involving specific organ systems, as well as those applicable to all diseases, including the commercially available systems. Also discussed is whether and how these various systems for severity adjustment can be compared. Finally, the article will provide selected references for individuals who will use these scoring systems and need more information.

HIV/AIDS has killed more than 25 million people since it was first recognized in 1981, making it one of the most destructive epidemics in recorded history. It is an increasing public health problem of the people in the world. A descriptive study was carried out in 2013 at Jajarkot district of Nepal, to assess the knowledge of HIV/AIDS among adolescents of higher secondary school. Facilitator based self administered questionnaire was distributed among 150 students who were selected through simple random technique lottery method. The study showed that majority of the respondents had knowledge about HIV/AIDS and more than two third (77.3%) had knowledge about the causative agent of the disease. Regarding the transmission of disease, majority (94.7%) had responded through needle sharing and 93.3% respondents responded through contamination of blood. Highest percent of respondent (51%) had knowledge in symptoms i.e. weight loss. Majority had knowledge that condom use during sexual intercourse can prevent HIV/AIDS. Despite having adequate knowledge still there exists various misconceptions regarding HIV/AIDS among the adolescents. The knowledge among the respondents was quite satisfactory for most of the aspects like modes of transmission, sexual and behavioral practices and common symptoms and preventive measures of the disease. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.3126/jcmc.v4i3.11940Journal of Chitwan Medical College 2014; 4(3):43-45

Abstract Background High effectiveness of COVID-19 vaccines is essential for the pandemic control. This study systematically reviewed available evidence on effectiveness of ChAdOx1 and BNT162b2 vaccines in the general population, for improved vaccine policies and strategies. Main body of the abstract Using several keywords, a search of Scopus, PubMed, Google scholar and Hinari databases was conducted from December 1, 2020 to June 9, 2021. Eligible studies comprising original studies reporting effectiveness of the vaccines, were included following PRISMA guidelines. Individual studies were assessed for quality using National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute quality assessment tool. A total of 1766 titles were retrieved and 11 were included, out of which only 5 were peer-reviewed. Although data availability was limited, studies suggest equivalent effectiveness of BNT162b2 and ChAdOx1 COVID-19 vaccine against SARS-CoV-2 infection and COVID-19 related morbidity and mortality. Vaccine effectiveness increased steadily to about 35 days, with an enhanced effectiveness following the second dose. Short conclusion BNT162 and ChAdOx1 vaccines were associated with equivalent and high effectiveness which increased with time and a second dose in the general population. This encourages continued practice of other preventive measures, particularly during the first week of vaccination, and reinforces the need for a second dose.

In the literature review the authors present an analysis of the current stateproblem of ovarian cancer and ways of its possible solution. According to clinicalobservations and conducted in recent decades by morphological, immunohistochemical and molecular genetic studies it is fairly proved that theprimary cause of serous ovarian cancer is the pathology of the mucous layer offallopian tube. In the fallopian tube as a result of ciculation of inflammation andcarcinogens elements arises dysplasia of the mucosa with the development of thepreinvasive and initial invasive carcinoma with subsequent damage of the ovariesand pelvic peritoneum. Retrospective studies of a significant number of women’shealth status who had a deligation or removal of fallopian tubes in previous years showed a decrease in the disease incidence of serous ovarian cancer from 30 to 90%. The conclusions about the possibility of preventive measures of ovariancancer by opportunistic salpingectomy at post-productive age are made. In many world countries (Canada, China, France, Italy, Austria) the introduction of such a method of prevention has been started. We believe that in Ukraine there is an urgent need and all possibilities to solve this problem. Key words: ovarian cancer, preventive measures, opportunistic salpingectomy.

AbstractHealthcare professionals play a vital role in identifying and supporting autistic people. This study systematically reviewed empirical research examining healthcare professionals’ knowledge, self-efficacy and attitudes towards working with autistic people. Thirty-five studies were included. The included studies sampled a range of countries and professional backgrounds. A modified quality assessment tool found the quality of the included studies was moderately good. Narrative synthesis indicated that healthcare professionals report only moderate levels of autism knowledge and self-efficacy, and often lack training. Variation within and between countries and professional background was not explained by demographic factors. The reviewed evidence suggests health professionals’ limited knowledge and self-efficacy in working with autistic people is a challenge to the provision of healthcare for autistic individuals.
