This paper departs from the author's concern for the curriculum for adults in the church, that until now the curriculum has not been a particular concern for ministers and teachers in the church in adopting the curriculum as reviewed in this paper.  The purpose of writing this article is to encourage churches to pay attention to curricula for adults to mature church members into strong congregations in the faith. The method used is the library research method (library research or literature review) by examining the urgency of implementing the curriculum for adults. The analysis process carried out is to use various literary sources, both journals, books and other reliable reference materials to support the author's analysis. The results of this study found that there is significance in implementing the curriculum for adults with indicators, namely recognizing adult characteristics, the Bible as the basis of the curriculum, the foundation of the development of the Christian religious education curriculum and curriculum implementation strategies. Thus, the curriculum places a very strategic and urgent position in carrying out the learning process for adults in the church. Tulisan ini berangkat dari keprihatinan penulis terhadap kurikulum bagi orang dewasa dalam gereja, bahwa sampai saat ini kurikulum belum menjadi perhatian khusus bagi para pelayan dan pengajar di gereja dalam menerapkan kurikulum sebagaimana ulasan tulisan ini. Tujuan penulisan artikel ini adalah mendorong gereja untuk memperhatikan kurikulum bagi orang dewasa untuk mendewasakan warga gereja menjadi jemaat kokoh dalam iman. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian pustaka dengan mengkaji urgenitas dalam menerapkan kurikulum bagi orang dewasa. Proses analisis yang dilakukan adalah menggunakan berbagai sumber literatur-literatur baik jurnal, buku dan bahan referensi lainnya yang terpercaya untuk mendukung analisis penulis. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan bahwa adanya signifikansi dalam menerapkan kurikulum bagi orang dewasa dengan indikator, yaitu mengenal karakteristik orang dewasa, Alkitab sebagai dasar kurikulum, landasan pengembangan kurikulum pendidikan agama Kristen dan strategi penerapan kurikulum. Dengan demikian bahwa kurikulum menempatkan posisi yang sangat strategi dan urgen dalam melaksanakan proses pembelajaran bagi orang dewasa dalam gereja.

This paper is a study of the Sunday school curriculum in the church, especially the middle class. Sunday School cannot be separated from the church as a forum for evangelism and teaching about Christian Religious Education. So far, there are still many churches that have not given serious attention to preparing the Sunday School curriculum. Therefore, the purpose of writing this article is to encourage churches and teachers to prepare a curriculum that is in accordance with the characteristics of middle graders. The method used is a library research method, which examines a contextual Christian religious education curriculum for middle class Sunday schools. The analysis process carried out by the author is to use a variety of trusted electronic and library sources to support the author's analysis. The results obtained in this study are the importance of understanding the nature of Sunday school, the characteristics of middle school children, the appropriate Sunday school curriculum and the involvement of Sunday school teachers. Seeing this, the Christian religious education curriculum in middle class is very urgent to be prepared and paid attention to by the church today based on the needs of Sunday school children. Tulisan ini merupakan kajian terhadap kurikulum sekolah minggu di gereja terutama kelas madya. Sekolah Minggu tidak bisa lepas dari gereja sebagai wadah penginjilan dan pengajaran tentang Pendidikan Agama Kristen. Selama ini masih banyak gereja yang belum memberi perhatian serius dalam mempersiapakan kurikulum anak Sekolah Minggu. Oleh karena itu, tujuan penulisan artikel ini adalah mendorong gereja dan guru untuk mempersiapkan kurikulum yang sesuai dengan karakteristik anak kelas madya. Metode digunakan adalah metode penelitian pustaka, yang mengkaji kurikulum  pendidikan agama Kristen yang kontekstual bagi sekolah minggu kelas madya. Proses analisis yang dilakukan oleh penulis adalah menggunakan berbagai sumber pustaka maupun elektronik yang terpercaya untuk mendukung analisis. Hasil yang didapatkan dalam kajian ini adalah pentingnya memahami hakikat sekolah minggu, karakteristik anak madya, kurikulum sekolah minggu yang sesuai dan keterlibatan guru sekolah minggu. Dengan melihat hal tersebut maka kurikulum pendidikan agama Kristen di kelas madya merupakan hal yang sangat urgen untuk dipersiapkan dan perhatikan oleh gereja   saat ini berdasarkan kebutuhan anak-anak sekolah minggu.

The era of technological disruption is one of the characteristics and challenges of human life and civilization in the 21st century. So that it has an impact on the urgency of reorienting the curriculum and learning of Islamic Religious Education. The purpose of this study is to reveal the challenges, facts and phenomena of curriculum disorientation and learning in Islamic Religious Education. The research method in this article uses a qualitative approach to library research, which is descriptive and radical in which the researcher describes and explores the topic of program reorientation or curriculum formulation and learning of Islamic religious education which is full of challenges during this technological disruption. The results of this study are the need to strengthen and formulate Islamic Religious Education curriculum and learning that focuses on strengthening the goal of fostering human beings and affirming two human dimensions as caliph fil ard and Abdullah. As well as the need for the formulation and embodiment of curriculum and learning that trains the critical power of the nation's generation.

Arabic learning can take place at various ages of either children, adolescents or adults. Learning Arabic is something needed for especially Muslim because it is important in Muslim life. This paper will explain about the Arabic learning strategy for children. This is important to discuss because children need special strategies in learning for their ages. In collecting information, the writer uses library research method, which is done by comparing several literary sources, especially those that are the main source of discussion to discuss about the existing problems. Then, as the result, language learning is a help to determine how, and how well, learners learn a foreign language. There are many variations on learning strategy. Arabic learning strategies for children include playing, singing, telling stories, projects, demonstration, and conversation. By using the suitable and fun strategy, children can develop their potential well and effectively. The selection of learning strategies depends on children’s ages and characteristics.

Kurikulum merupakan bagian integral dari pendidikan. Kurikulum juga merupakan media untuk menumbuhkan nilai-nilai agama pada anak-anak, terutama di bidang pendidikan anak usia dini (usia 0-6 tahun). Fokus utama dari penelitian ini adalah beberapa Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD) di Kota Salatiga dan Kabupaten Semarang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh suatu tujuan, faktual, akurat dan sistematis proses pelaksanaan kurikulum pendidikan Islam dan strategi yang diterapkan pada objek penelitian. Data dikumpulkan dengan beberapa metode yaitu observasi, dokumentasi dan wawancara. Kemudian data yang dikumpulkan dianalisis dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pelaksanaan kurikulum pendidikan agama Islam di PAUD di Salatiga dan kabupaten Semarang sudah mengacu pada standar di Permendiknas Nomor 58 tahun 2009. Beberapa dari mereka belum mengacu patokan dasar pemerintah. Mereka juga melakukan pengembangan yang sesuai dengan karakteristik masing-masing lembaga. Bahan pendidikan agama Islam yang diberikan cocok dengan tahap perkembangan peserta didik. Materi tersebut disampaikan melalui bercerita, bercakap-cakap, tugas, Iqro ', simulasi dan praktek. Curriculum is an integral part of education. The curriculum is also a medium to cultivate of religious values in children,especially in early childhood education (ages 0-6 years). The main focus of this study is some early childhood education in Salatiga and Semarang district. This study is aimed to gain an objective, factual, accurate and systematic of curriculum implementation process of Islamic education and its strategies that applied in the research object. The data is collected by several methods namely, observation, documentation and interviews. Then the gathered data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative approach. The results indicate the implementation of Islamic religious education curriculum in early childhood education in Salatiga and Semarang districts already refers to the standards in Permendiknas No. 58 of 2009. Some of them have not referring to the government's basic benchmark. They also undertake the development which is appropriate with the characteristics of each institution. The materials of Islamic religious education is given suited with stage of learners’ development. The story of David and Goliath is one of the most famous biblical stories. It had an impact on many branches of contemporary art. It is also an inevitable part of religious education and general education in all schools. Knowing the fact that the Church Fathers have an essential part in the lives of many Christians today (in the Orthodox Church, they were role models from the very beginning), it is interesting to see how did they, these original theologians, read and interpret the story of David and Goliath. Was it for them, in the time when the Bible was the most sacred book for all, important as it is for us today? Did people during the sports events of that time talk on the markets about the underdog who struck the giant? Additionally, if one looks at the ancient Greek and Hebrew text, one will find out that the Hebrew version, which was used as the source for most modern translations, is 40% longer than the Greek one. Could the works of the Fathers help us to determine which version of the story is the Holy Scripture for Christians today?

One of the main issues in almost every treatment of abortion in Jewish Law is the legal basis for its prohibition. The recent trend in Rabbinic literature to categorise abortion as a form of homicide, proscribed by Biblical law, seems to constitute a break with the classical Rabbinic view, according to which abortion is neither homicide, nor directly prohibited in the major literary sources of Jewish Law, i.e. the Bible and the Talmud. Moreover, in the few instances in which abortion is discussed in these sources, it would seem that no such prohibition exists.This article will analyse the Biblical and Talmudic passages which deal with abortion, and survey the various Rabbinic opinions as to the legal basis for its prohibition. Particular attention will be paid to the argument that abortion is a biblically-proscribed form of homicide, and to the reasons which may underlie the adoption of that argument by a number of authorities in recent times. We will also analyse the significance in Jewish Law of the stages of foetal development.Our analysis will be both historical and normative, and in this context it will be a valuable exercise to compare the position in Jewish Law to that in the Canon Law of the Church of Rome. Although the Church Fathers held that abortion was a form of homicide, and the contemporary position of the Catholic Church reflects this attitude strictly and unswervingly, the Medieval Canonists adopted the distinction between the formed and the unformed foetus, based on a tradition derived from the Septuagint version of the Biblical passage dealing with the consequences of striking a pregnant woman (Ex. 21:22–23).

Penelitian ilmiah ini membahas tentang pelayanan pastoral terhadap kaum lansia ditengah pandemic covid-19. Pelayanan pastoral terhadap jemaat kaum lansia yang ada di dalam gereja adalah sesuatu yang penting karena diharapkan para lansia tetap dapat digembalakan dan diberdayakan sesuai dengan kapasitas atau potensi yang ada pada mereka sekalipun ditengah pandemi covid-19, bahkan diharapkan kaum lansia dapat tetap mengaktualisasikan diri. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif, penelitian kepustakaan (Libarary Research) fokus pada penafsiran Kitab Suci sesuai dengan kaidah gramatikal, historical, dan konteks. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menunjukkan bukti data Alkitab bahwa orang lanjut usia masih memiliki potensi yang dapat diberdayakan, sebagaimana Tuhan tetap memakai tokoh-tokoh Alkitab di usia senjanya sehingga pelayanan pastoral terhadap kaum lansia ditengah pandemi covid-19 tetap dapat dijalankan dengan baik.   ABSTRACT _______________________________________________________________ This scientific research discusses pastoral care for the elderly in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Pastoral care for the congregation of the elderly in the church is important because it is hoped that the elderly can be shepherded and empowered according to their capacity or potential even in the middle. COVID-19 pandemic, it is hoped that the elderly can still actualize themselves. The research method used is qualitative, library research (Library Research) focuses on the interpretation of the Scriptures by grammatical, historical, and contextual rules. The purpose of this study is to show evidence of biblical data that the elderly still have the potential that can be empowered, as God continues to use biblical figures in his old age so that pastoral care for the elderly amid the COVID-19 pandemic can still be done well.

AbstractSpiritual growth to be a blessing and influence and impact on others cannot be separated from the challenges of life. And it is part of the believer's role to be able to color and make himself a useful person. Yet the church and the believers experienced divisions that created conflict and contention so that the church could not speak or give anything to a divided, corrupted world. With the background of the problem, the author uses a library research method with a descriptive quantitative approach. So the author concludes that the role of believers as the salt of the world in Matthew 5:13, in the midst of an era of disruption, is the first Christianity that does not become tasteless. Second, Christianity must function like salt and third, Christianity must glorify God in its life. By applying to all believers, the role of Christians as the salt of the earth has an impact.Key words: Salt Of The World, Believers, The Role Of Christianity AbstrakPertumbuhan rohani untuk menjadi berkat dan pengaruh serta berdampak bagi sesama tidak lepas dari tantangan kehidupan. Dan hal itu sebagai bagian peran orang percaya untuk dapat mewarnai dan menjadikan dirinya sebagai orang yang berguna. Namun gereja dan orang percaya mengalami perpecahan yang menimbulkan konflik dan pertengkaran sehingga gereja tidak bisa berbicara atau memberikan apa-apa kepada dunia yang terpecah, rusak. Dengan latar belakang permasalahan, penulis menggunakan metode penelitian pustaka dengan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif. Maka penulis dengan mendapatkan kesimpulan bahwa   peran orang percaya sebagai garam dunia dalam Matius 5: 13, ditengah era disrupsi adalah pertama kekristenan yang tidak menjadi tawar. Kedua Kekristenan harus berfungsi seperti garam dan yang ketiga, Kekristenan harus memuliakan Tuhan dalam hidupnya. The development of education has revealed a lot of educational ideology which makes some education practitioners often change the curriculum and educational model. This reality, then, leads to the changes of Indonesian curriculum which consequently shows that Indonesian education ideology is inconsistent. Actually, without following the western education ideology, Muslim practitioners in Indonesia should be able to maintain and use their own education ideology, namely Islamic education ideology. Because of its universal and transcendental characteristic, Islamic education ideology can give the newest and up-to-date format for the era development. This paper describes the concept of each ideology and their meeting points. The research method used in this study is library research method, and the data was analyzed by using content analysis method. The reserch result shows that the meeting points of those ideologies are divided into four concepts. First, the objective of education is to optimize the human resource. Second, the concept of human being is that human is the most noble and creative creation. Third, the education curriculum should be applicable. Forth, it is better to use guidance and counseling method in guiding students in solving their problems.

Children's ministry is very motivating for the church and child servants because it affects the growth of the child's faith. One of them is the ministry of evangelism. Evangelism is the message of salvation and judgment in Christ Jesus. Children aged 5 - 10 years do not usually understand and interpret themselves as "Christians" because they only follow what their parents do and do. = 'So it is necessary to teach through evangelism to these children. The question is how does a minister convey the "gospel" message to children so that it can be understood easily and what are the results of the ministry? This paper has two purposes. First, the servant understands the method or way of a servant to convey the "gospel" message simply. Second, so that children better understand the true meaning of the Bible. The research method used is qualitative by interviewing sources to examine and understand the attitudes, views, feelings and behavior of an individual or group of people and literature research to support this writing.
