Pastoral counseling services for the sick are services that complement the services that have been carried out by health workers and other officers who want to help patients experience healing. Pastoral counseling services are different from other services in general, because these services not only emphasize physical healing but services that touch all aspects of human life, both physically, mentally and spiritually. This ministry emphasizes service so that people when they are experiencing pain can understand God's plan in their lives, and they can even accept pain as a tool for paradigm change and be able to improve their behavior so that they become better and healthier individuals.

Background: eHealth technologies are widely believed to contribute to improving health and patients’ experience of care and reducing health system costs. While many studies explore barriers to and facilitators of eHealth innovation, we lack understanding of how this knowledge can be translated into workable, practicable and properly resourced knowledge mobilisation (KM) strategies.Aims and objectives: This paper describes the aims, methods and outputs of a large European Union funded project (eHealth Productivity and Innovation in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly (EPIC)) to support the development of a sustainable innovation ecosystem in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, in order to explore how knowledge mobilisation activities can help bridge the know-do gap in eHealth. Conclusions: Preparatory knowledge sharing, linkage making and capacity building are necessary preliminaries to co-production, with an emphasis on capturing the uses to which patients, carers and health workers want to put new technologies rather than promoting new technology for its own sake. Financial support can play a key role in supply-side dynamics, although the contextual and organisational barriers to eHealth innovation in England should not be underestimated.

Currently smoking is estimated to be responsible for 3 million deaths annually worldwide, or about 6% of all deaths. But by the 2020’s or early 2030’s, it is expected to cause 10.9% of all deaths in developing countries and 17.7% of those in developed countries, more than any single disease. Smoking is probable cause of about 25 diseases; hence its impact on global disease is tremendous. About one-third of the global population aged 15 and over is indulged in smoking. In the light of the global impact of tobacco on human life, it is imperative that stronger measures be taken to persuade those who are indulged in smoking. The present study conducted on 100 male participants (18-45 years) of Kashmir, J&K (India) enlightens us to shows various motivational factors behind smoking. The motivational factors are all perceived as being positive reasons to continue smoking. It is important for us to understand exactly why we smoke. Stimulation, Handling, Pleasurable, Relaxation, Crutch, Craving and Habit are the most important motivational factors behind smoking. These seven motivational factors can easily be changed by appropriate measures. It is hoped that the present study gives information on how medical professionals, health workers, clinicians and other allied agencies should tackle the problem. We would be pleased to receive any feedback on the usefulness of this study and suggestions on how to improve it.

Claims that a strong professional identity is key to offering a healing presence and that pastoral counselors can use their dis-ease with conflicting paradigms and wave-trends in mental health care and the wider culture to maintain a professional identity rooted in the history of pastoral care and their respective theological and psychological worldviews. Identifies these wave-trends as the defensive use of language, the medicalization of normal human experience, the lack of interest in developmental perspectives on human life, and the overlooking and denial or internal mental processes of persons. Introduces the concept of pastoral counseling as cultural critique and points out implications of this for the direction of the profession of pastoral counseling.
