The purpose of the research is to know the effectiveness of employing the strategy of teaching based on contracting in the teaching of physics in the development of structural thinking and the skills of the operations of science in the fifth grade students applied. The researcher selected the study sample from all the fifth grade students for the academic year (2015-2016) from the Nazik Al-Malaika Preparatory School for Girls, affiliated to the General Directorate for Education of Rusafa. It reached (76) students divided into two divisions. The number of female students in the experimental group (39) and the control group (37) Student, where the researcher excluded the student deposits of statistical and the number of students from the experimental group and three students from the control group. The equivalence of the two groups was verified in some variables that are thought to affect the results of the experiment: the age of the months in months. IQ degree. Previous achievement, synthetic thinking test and science process skills, previous information testing. The two groups were equal in all variables.

This study aimed to examine the impact of the use of self-questioning in the understanding of fifth grade students in mathematics material. The researcher used the experimental methodology for independent groups to investigate the impact of the independent variable, which is a self-questioning strategy on the dependent variable, which is understanding. The study sample consisted of 42 students from the fifth grade students from Khubayb bin Udai School in Riyadh; equally divided into two groups of 21 students in each group (experimental and control), and after making sure from groups' equivalence by applying the tools of the study, having been taught the experimental group by using self-questioning strategy, while the control group has been studied the unit by using the traditional method. After the completion of the study of prescribed content study, study tools (achievement test) were applied then. The results indicated to the presence of a statistically significant difference (at the significance level <0. 05) between the mean scores of the two groups' students (experimental and control) in achievement test posttest for the experimental group. Since the results of the study were positive in increasing the achievement, the researcher recommended the need to use self-questioning to raise the level of achievement of learners in mathematics material

This study aimed at investigating of the effect of using word family game committed by the fifth grade student in SD Negeri 1 Astina in mastering the English vocabulary. This study was True-Experimental with post-test only control group design. The population was 59 students of the fifth grade and the sample was selected by using cluster random sampling. The sample of this research study was 22 students in 5A as an Experimental Group while 22 students in 5B as a Control Group. The experimental group was taught by using Word Family Game and control group was taught without using Word Family Game. The data was analyzed descriptively and inferentially through SPSS 16.0 Program. Descriptively, the students in experimental group were achieved better than the students in control group. It was proven by the result of the mean score of the experimental group was 90.45, while the mean score of control group was 83.18. The result of the t-test also showed that the score of the (tobs) was 3.393 which the score of (tcv) was 1.682 which based on the degree of freedom was 42. It showed that the (tobs) > (tcv), where: 3.393 > 1.682. It could be concluded that the word family game had a significant effect on the students’ vocabulary mastery rather than using conventional teaching.

The study was conducted to investigate the integration of electronic mind map within the Arabic vocabulary instruction for fifth-grade students at Jordan. The sample included two classes chosen by the available method from the fifth grade classes in two schools in northern Jordan. One of the classes (29 pupils) whom represented the experimental group; its members studied using the strategy of Electronic Mind map. The other class (30 pupils) represented the control group. The researchers used an achievement test, as well as a collective interview conducted with the experimental group after the post-test. The results revealed that the computerized mind map reinforced students' educational accomplishment in Arabic vocabulary, increased their concentration and created the instructive process more interactive fascinating and gratifying and continue to learn. The study suggested the acceleration of the integration of mind maps in the Arabic language in several education stages. The necessity to produce schools with internet and pcs particularly within the second stage and also to require advantage of specialists within the field of educational technology to attain the highest-quality lecturers.

The research aims at identifying the effect of the Fink model in the achievement of the psychology principles of the fifth grade students and their mental motivation. The experimental design of the experimental and control groups was used. The researcher randomly selected Division B to represent the experimental group that is taught according to the Fink model, (A) The control group studying the traditional method, the number of female students (60) students by (30) students in each division. The two groups were equalized in the variables: age, intelligence, mental motivation. The researcher prepared the research tool which is the achievement test and verified the validity and reliability of the test, the adoption of the mental motivation scale and the testing of the psychometric characteristics. The researcher used the T-test for two independent data processing , The results showed the superiority of the experimental group in achievement and mental motivation via the control group

This study aimed at investigating whether or not there was a significant effect of using Word Clap Game on the vocabulary mastery of the fifth grade students of SD Negeri 1 Banjar Jawa. The research was true experimental with Post-test Only Control Group Design. The population was the fifth grade students of SD Negeri 1 Banjar Jawa. Cluster Random Sampling was assigned to select the sample of the study. The samples were 30 students at grade 5A for experimental group and 30 students at grade 5B for control group. Those two groups were determined by lottery. The experimental group was taught by using Word Clap Game and the control group was taught by using conventional teaching technique. The data were analyzed by using T-test through SPSS program. The result of the data analysis showed that students in experimental group performed better than the students in control group. It was proven by the result of the descriptive statistics that showed the mean score of the experimental group was 89,33 while the mean score of the control group was 84,67. The result of the t-test also showed that the value of the tobs was greater than the tcv where the tobs was 2,586 while the tcv was 1,672. Based on the findings, it was concluded that there was a significant effect of using word clap game on the students’ vocabulary mastery rather than using conventional teaching.

This study was aimed at investigating whether or not there was a significant effect of the implementation of Big Book as media on reading comprehension achievement of the fifth grade students. This study was conducted in SD Laboratorium Undiksha Singaraja in the form of an experimental research with post-Test only Control Group Design. The population was the fifth grade in which two classes were selected as the sample of the study. Then, the samples were decided as the experimental group and control group by using lottery. The experimental group was taught by using Big Book as media and the control group was taught by using conventional media. The data were analyzed by using t-test through SPSS 17.0. The result of the data analysis showed that students in experimental group performed better than the students in the control group. It was proven by the result of the descriptive statistics that showed the mean score of the experimental group was 85.51 while the mean score of the control group was 75.56. The result of the t-test also showed that the value of Sig (2-tailed) 0.000 was less than 0.05. It can be concluded that there was a significant difference of reading comprehension achievement between students treated with big book as media and those treated using conventional media at fifth grade of elementary school in SD Laboratorium Undiksha Singaraja.

The purpose of this research is to determine the impact of using multimodal representation modes in the writing practices done by the fifth grade students on their scientific process skills. A combined research method which had both quantitative and qualitative characteristics was used in the research and the groups were chosen as control and experimental groups. 32 5th grade students at an elementary school in the North of Turkey formed the study group. Scientific Process Skills Test and writing activities for learning were used as data collection tools in the study. When the unit was completed, the students were asked to tell their peers about the subjects in the unit with a writing activity in the summary writing type. While the students in the experimental group were obliged to use the representation modes in these writing to learn activities, the students in the control group were asked only to complete the writing activity. In this process, the students performed three writing activities, one preparation and two real practice activities. The criteria determining the content and the features of these writing activities (purpose, subject, interlocutor, writing type and page limit) were standards explained in the instructions distributed to the students. The most basic discrepancy between the groups was the request of using of multimodal representations for the students in the experimental group. The writing activities performed within the scope of the study were scored after they were evaluated in consideration of the criteria determined by the researchers. The Cronbach’s alpha credibility coefficent of the scientific process skill test applied as the preliminary test in the beginning of the practice and the post-test at the end of it was determined as 72. The results of the research indicate that using multimodal representations make statistically significant differences on behalf of the experimental group in the scientific process skills of the students.
