Based on the positive bias property of the time of arrival(TOA) measurement error caused by the non-line-of-sight(NLOS) propagation, a simple and effective three dimensional(3D) geometrical localization algorithm was proposed, the algorithm needs no prior knowledge of time delay distribution of TOA, and only linear regression was used to estimate the parameters of the relationship between the NLOS distance error and the true distance, thus, the approximate real distance between mobile terminal (MT) and base station (BS) was reduced, then, the 3D geometric localization of mobile terminal was carried out by the least square method. The experimental results shows the effectiveness of the algorithm, and the positional accuracy is far higher than the required accuracy by E-911 in NLOS environments.

By giving a centroid algorithm to extract pixel coordinates of each circle in the center of a circle under the coordinates, through the coordinate transformation the image coordinates can be obtained. Based on the data obtained from above to verify the model, from the specific data of the relative error, absolute error and error propagation theory to discuss the algorithm accuracy and stability. Finally using the least square method, according to the mean square error criteria for the establishment of a minimum of three-dimensional coordinate system fixed relative position of two cameras, binocular positioning mathematical models and by discussing the nature of matrix and the relationship between the relative position of the camera to calibrate the binocular digital camera.

Fuzzy linear regression has been extensively studied since its inception symbolized by the work of Tanaka et al. in 1982. As one of the main estimation methods, fuzzy least squares approach is appealing because it corresponds, to some extent, to the well known statistical regression analysis. In this article, a restricted least squares method is proposed to fit fuzzy linear models with crisp inputs and symmetric fuzzy output. The paper puts forward a kind of fuzzy linear regression model based on structured element, This model has precise input data and fuzzy output data, Gives the regression coefficient and the fuzzy degree function determination method by using the least square method, studies the imitation degree question between the observed value and the forecast value.

We investigated the relationship between kinematic and kinetic characteristics of foot joints resisting ground reaction force (GRF). Passive elastic characteristics of joint were obtained from the experiment using three cameras and one force plate. The relationship between joint angle and moment was mathematically modeled by using least square method. The calculated ranges of motion were 7o for TM joint, 4o for TT joint and 20o for MP joint. With the model that relates joint angle and plantar pressure, we could get the kinematic data of the joints which are not available from conventional motion analysis. The model can be used not only for biomechanical analysis which simulates gait but also for the clinical evaluations.

This paper establishes a 3-D localization model and based on this model, it proposes a collaborative localization framework. In this framework, node that observes the object sends its attitude information and the relative position of the object's projection in its camera to the cluster head. The cluster head adopts an algorithm proposed in this paper to select some nodes to participate localization. The localization algorithm is based on least square method. Because the localization framework is based on a 3-D model, the size of the object or other prerequisites is not necessary. At the end of this paper, a simulation is taken on the numbers of nodes selected to locate and the localization accuracy. The result implies that selecting 3~4 nodes is proper. The theoretical analysis and the simulation result also imply that a const computation time cost is paid in this framework with a high localization accuracy (in our simulation environment, a 0.01 meter error).

Continuous wavelet transformation is made to identify the parameters of damped harmonic forced vibration Duffing system. With the aid of conversion relationship between the scale and frequency, the solution of nonlinear Duffing equation is adopted by average method, which gained approximate analytical expression for instantaneous amplitude and instantaneous frequency of the system. The nonlinear stiffness coefficient and natural frequency can be gained by least square method and the relationship between recognition accuracy and parameter selection are summarized in the article. Parameter identification method of harmonic forced vibration system is proposed in this paper. Studying the wavelet ridge and corresponding scale by segments to filter out the affects of the simple harmonic motion, to extract systems free vibration signal and to achieve the goal of identifying system parameters.

A widely used scheme for target localization is to measure the time of arrival of a wireless signal emitted by a tag, which requires the clocks of the anchors (receivers at known locations) to be accurately synchronized. Conventional systems rely on transmissions from a timing reference node at a known location for clock synchronization and therefore are susceptible to reference node failure. In this article, we propose a novel localization scheme which jointly estimates anchor clock offsets and target positions. The system does not require timing reference nodes and is completely passive (non-intrusive). The positioning algorithm is formulated as a maximum likelihood estimation problem, which is solved efficiently using an iterative linear least square method. The Cramér–Rao lower bound of positioning error is also analyzed. It is shown that the performance of the proposed scheme improves with the number of targets in the system and approaches that of a system with perfectly synchronized anchors.

The numerical study of a three-dimensional magneto-hydrodynamic (MHD) Casson nano-fluid with porous and stretchy boundaries is the focus of this paper. Radiation impacts are also supposed. A feasible similarity variable may convert a verbalized set of nonlinear “partial” differential equations (PDEs) into a system of nonlinear “ordinary” differential equations (ODEs). To investigate the solutions of the resulting dimensionless model, the least-square method is suggested and extended. Maple code is created for the expanded technique of determining model behaviour. Several simulations were run, and graphs were used to provide a thorough explanation of the important parameters on velocities, skin friction, local Nusselt number, and temperature. The comparison study attests that the suggested method is well-matched, trustworthy, and accurate for investigating the governing model’s answers. This method may be expanded to solve additional physical issues with complicated geometry.

The phenomenon of false financial statements still exists. However, in addition to the risk of being punished, what kind of price do companies have to pay? In recent decades, with China's rapid progress in economic, the relevant accounting system and corporate governance standards are actively improving, and the earnings quality is improving. This paper takes China's listed companies from 2015 to 2019 as samples, and adopts quantile regression supplemented by ordinary least square method to explore the relationship between earnings quality and capital cost. The research findings show that the higher the earnings management, the higher the capital cost, especially for the company with low capital cost. Nevertheless, for the extremely company with high capital cost, earnings management can reduce the capital cost. The research results can provide the focus of regulators of listed companies and reference for the revision of relevant accounting system.

In this paper, a localization scenario that the home base station (BS) measures time of arrival (TOA) and angle of arrival (AOA) while the neighboring BSs only measure TOA is investigated. In order to reduce the effect of non-line of sight (NLOS) propagation, the probability weighting localization algorithm based on NLOS identification is proposed. The proposed algorithm divides these range and angle measurements into different combinations. For each combination, a statistic whose distribution is chi-square in LOS propagation is constructed, and the corresponding theoretic threshold is derived to identify each combination whether it is LOS or NLOS propagation. Further, if those combinations are decided as LOS propagation, the corresponding probabilities are derived to weigh the accepted combinations. Simulation results demonstrate that our proposed algorithm can provide better performance than conventional algorithms in different NLOS environments. In addition, computational complexity of our proposed algorithm is analyzed and compared.
