The Chapter of Fatiha is conceived as one of the paramount chapters of the Holy Qur’an; rather, it is unprecedented one in the sense that not a similar chapter has been revealed in any of revealed Books including the Qur’an itself. Also, as many prophetic traditions have been narrated with regard to its virtues as not narrated concerning any other chapter; the objectives of this chapter have extensively been discussed more than other chapter; and this chapter is characterized by having many names more than all other chapters. Moreover, this chapter, despite of being conciseness, comprises of three types of Tawhid (Oneness of God); namely, Oneness in terms of Lordship, Oneness in terms of Divinity, and Oneness in terms of Names and Attributes. Similarly, this chapter is characterized with many other features: such as the role of this chapter in attracting benefits and removing harms, healing of deceased, (getting divine) guidance, and fulfilling necessities. In addition to this, the Qur’an begins with this chapter. It is stated that it is one of the basic elements of the prayer without which prayer does not stand valid. It, by all means, indicates to the sublime nature, great features and magnificent virtues that this chapter holds. This work analyses the prophetic traditions narrated concerning this chapter and focuses over its objectives, names, virtues and characteristics in the light of authentic prophetic traditions. Meanwhile, the researcher adopts hybrid methodology: namely inductive one and critical one. On the one hand, critical method is adopted for searching and gathering all relevant traditions that discuss in one way or another this chapter; and, on the other hand, inductive method is adopted for analyzing the relevant traditions and drawing significant conclusions therefrom. At the end, a conclusion is added that contains several important remarks which have been drawn while this study.

The nature of the personal relationship between More and Elyot remains something of a mystery, but their political perspectives reflect the similarities and differences in their public experience and sources of inspiration. More’s Utopia (1516) grew out of his interaction with European scholars and political leaders; composed in Latin for an international audience, the work moves from particular social problems in England to a radical alternative conceptualized in detail. The Governor (1531), written in English and addressed to the aristocracy, resulted from Elyot’s years as a middle-level public administrator. Practical rather than imaginative, Elyot finds the principles of governance mainly in Aristotle and Cicero; on the other hand, More, inspired primarily by Plato and Lucian, creates a social construct against which contemporary societies should be measured. Each reflecting his own perspective, Elyot emphasizes individual, personal virtues while More focuses on social values. The conservative Elyot endorses the hierarchal society governed by a monarch through his governors in contrast with More, who represents an elective meritocracy.

The aim of the research was to analyze the artistic decorations of the mosaic of the ancient Umayyad civilization in Palestine in the light of a comparative study between the most important umayyad palaces in Khirbet al-Minya in Tiberias and Khirbet al-Masrif in Jericho. There is no doubt that the archaeological site of Khirbet al-Monaina in Palestine has played a major role in the decoration of floors and walls, where we find it covering the dome above the top of the huge hall of the palace and take geometric and floral motifs, in addition to covering some of the floors of rooms filled with many mosaics of various shapes and use. On the other hand, there is a consensus among archaeologists and Islamic arts that the ruins of Khirbet al-Mafjar are unique architectural buildings in Palestine, which represent one of the important examples in the history of Islamic art in the Umayyad period, because of its possession of fine art decorations and various materials of plaster, in addition to mosaic floors and frescoes, as well as buildings rich in examples of patterns used by the Umayyads in architectural decoration. After the comparative analytical study of the Umayyad mosaic in Khirbet al-Mania in Tiberias and Khirbet al-Mafjar in Jericho, the research found out and discovered the similarities and differences between them.

This paper proposes a method for classifying informative reviews based on personal values. Reviews of an item are useful for a user who is considering purchasing it. However, it is difficult for readers to find informative reviews from vast amount of reviews because of existence of too many uninformative reviews. This paper supposes that the value of a review is affected by reader-dependent and independent factors. Typical uninformative reviews in terms of reader-independent factor are copy-and-paste reviews, which do not provide any readers with useful information for their decision-making. On the other hand, it is supposed different readers regard different reviews as informative, which is affected by their personal values. This paper focuses on such a readerdependent factor, and proposes a methods for classifying informative reviews based on reader’s personal value. The term “conexión chilena” is regularly used in print media and internet articles to describe a group of DJs, some of them very successful, who fled as children with their families to Europe during the Chilean military dictatorship (1973–1990) and have become part of the growing EDM scene there since the 1990s. Names that are often mentioned in this context include Matías Aguayo, Andrés and Pier Bucci, Luciano (Lucien Nicolet), Martin Schopf/DJ Dandy Jack, Paula Schopf/DJ Chica Paula, Ricardo Villalobos and Cristian Vogel. Based on interviews and the analytical study of selected tracks by three of these artists, this article explores the question of the role that the “conexión” actually played. On the one hand, this question is applied to the work and career of the artists themselves, especially in light of developments in Chilean memory culture. On the other hand, it is applied to the early internationalization and transatlantic exchange in the field of techno and EDM. (Vorlage)

This paper explores the idea of romantic and modern painting with the reference of Delacroix’s painting “Liberty Leading the People” and Jackson Pollock’s painting “Moon Woman Cuts the Circle”. Both painters representing different era, portray different styles, background, color, tempo, and textures in their painting. Delacroix’s painting expresses inner emotions and realistic world. His painting is emotional, it seems to be natural and exotic. He has used arches, sculptures, and gray color dominantly. In contrast to Delacroix, Pollock’s painting is experimental. It has abstraction and two-dimensionality. It looks rational that represents the frustrated and chaotic world in abstract form. In this sense, Delacroix’s painting “Liberty Leading the People” represents the liberty, equality, and fraternity. A woman personifying the concept and the goddess of liberty leads the people forward over the bodies of the fallen men holding the flag of the French Revolution. On the other hand, Jackson Pollock’s painting “Moon Woman Cuts the Circle” reflects the modern world representing woman the symbol of peace, color tempo suggests the domination of violence and bloodshed. The weapon shows the domination of the power which is violent. Delacroix’s painting suggests the hope of change and bright future but Pollock seems to be pessimistic in his painting.

In the new and rapidly developing experimental science known as “Experimentelle Pädagogik” in Germany, “Pédagogie expérimentale” in France, and “Experimental Pedagogy” or “Experimental Education” in this country and in America, two well-marked and not entirely consistent tendencies have been hitherto manifest. On the one hand, there has been a tendency, more particularly in Germany, to develop the work in the new field on the lines of experimental psychology, and to employ almost exclusively the apparatus and methods of that science. On the other hand, there has been a tendency, to a very marked extent in this country and in America, to endeavour to carry on experimental work entirely without the aid of exact and elaborate apparatus, eschewing, even regarding as “tabu,” the methods of the psychological laboratory. Both tendencies are perhaps more or less inevitable, and both to a certain extent may be said to have been justified by results. Nevertheless, there are certain obvious dangers and defects inherent in both, and the whole situation is itself dangerous for the new science.
