Communication, which intends to provide a link between any two people, is now moving towards man-to-machine and machine-to-machine connection for transferring different types of data. This transmission scenario, with and ever expanding number of active and passive users, lays the foundation to variety of communication protocols owing to the different types of data which is involved in the process. Within this ever expanding communication arena, Middle-ware can be thought of as a set of hardware and software which is used to connect different platforms with the end-users that are increasing in number day-by-day, with a possible wide spread over any region spanning from few meters to several kilometers. IEEE 802.11 is the set of standards which guides the wireless technology for device implementation and demands seamless integration across the entire protocol stack. This in turn demands an overview of the middleware architecture in broader perspective. This chapter explores the concept of middleware in the existing communication scenario, current trends and future scope.

Background: Recently, Internet of Things (IoT) has brought various changes in the existing research field by including new areas such as smart transportation, smart home facilities, smart healthcare, etc. In smart transportation systems, vehicles contain different components to access information related to passengers, drivers, vehicle speed, and many more. This information can be accessed by connecting vehicles with Internet of Things leading to new fields of research known as Internet of Vehicles. The setup of Internet of Vehicle (IoV) consists of many sensors to establish a connection with several other sensors belonging to different environments by exploiting different technologies. The communication of the sensors faces a lot of challenging issues. Some of the critical challenges are to maintain security in information exchanges among the vehicles, inequality in sensors, quality of internet connection, and storage capacity. Objective: To overcome the challenging issues, we have designed a new framework consisting of seven-layered architecture, including the security layered, which provides seamless integration by communicating the devices present in the IoV environment. Further, a network model consisting of four components such as Cloud, Fog, Connection, and Clients has been designed. Finally, the protocol stack which describes the protocol used in each layer of the proposed seven-layered IoV architecture has been shown. Methods: In this proposed architecture, the representation and the functionalities of each layer and types of security have been defined. Case studies of this seven-layer IoV architecture have also been performed to illustrate the operation of each layer in real-time. The details of the network model including all the elements inside each component, have also been shown. Results: We have discussed some of the existing communication architecture and listed a few challenges and issues occurring in present scenarios. Considering these issues, which is presently occurring in the existing communication architecture. We have developed the seven-layered IoV architecture and the network model with four essential components known as the cloud, fog, connection, and clients. Conclusion: This proposed architecture provides a secure IoV environment and provides life safety. Hence, safety and security will help to reduce the cybercrimes occurring in the network and provides good coordination and communication of the vehicles in the network.

Background: In recent time, people love online shopping but before any shopping feedbacks or reviews always required. These feedbacks help customers in decision making for buying any product or availing any service. In the country like India this trend of online shopping is increasing very rapidly because awareness and the use of internet which is increasing day by day. As result numbers of customers and their feedbacks are also increasing. It is creating a problem that how to read all reviews manually. So there should be some computerized mechanism that provides customers a summary without spending time in reading feedbacks. Besides big number of reviews another problem is that reviews are not structured. Objective: In this paper, we try to design, implement and compare two algorithms with manual approach for the crossed domain Product’s reviews. Methods: Lexicon based model is used and different types of reviews are tested and analyzed to check the performance of these algorithms. Results: Algorithm based on opinions and feature based opinions are designed, implemented, applied and compared with the manual results and it is found that algorithm # 2 is performing better than algorithm # 1 and near to manual results. Conclusion: Algorithm # 2 is found better on the different product’s reviews and still to be applied on other product’s reviews to enhance its scope. Finally, it will be helpful to automate existing manual process.

As a result different types of environmental problems have been rising. Environmental degradation is a wide- reaching problem and it is likely to influence the health of human population is great. It may be defined the deterioration of the environment through depletion of resources such as air, water, and soil. The destruction of ecosystem and extinction of wildlife. Environmental degradation has occurred due to the recent activities in the field of socio-economic, institute and technology. Poverty still remains a problem as the root of several environmental problems to create awareness among the people about the ill effect of environmental pollution. In the whole research it is clear that all factors of environmental degradation may be reduced through- Framing the new laws on environmental degradation, Environment friend policy, Controlling all the ways and means of noise, air, soil and water pollution, Through growing more and more trees and by adapting the proper sanitation policy.

Due to increasing growth in urbanization and internet the way of lifestyle has been changing day by day. In order to ensure that harmful emission are monitored and can be controlled the acceptance of electric vehicles has been increased. In this paper we deal with control mechanism of different types of motors used in EVs mainly DC, IM, BLDC and PMSM motors. The paper contains proper MATLAB modelling and speed vs time graph so as to achieve a proper understanding regarding aspects of speed control and problems related to it.

Depression is one of the most commonly observed medical conditions. Studies about the depression and life satisfaction is increasing day by day. Untreated depression may lead to unexpected earlier deaths and has negative impacts on the patient’s general health conditions. On the other hand with the proper treatment, life quality could be enhanced. Moreover life satisfaction level is also seen as an important factor which is related with life quality and which is usually coordinated together with the depression. There are different types and explanations of depression. In this study, we tried to explain the prevalence, diagnosis criterias, risk factors, etiology and description of depression. In addition to this, relationship between depression and life satisfaction is tried to be explained. Purpose of this review study is to explain depression, it’s risk factors and the importance of life satisfaction.


Brain tumor detection from MRI images is a challenging process due to high diversity in the tumor pixels of different peoples. Automatic detection has got wide spread acclaim because the manual detection by experts is time consuming and prone to error in judgment. Due to its high mortality rate, detection of tumor automatically is a new emerging technique in bio medical imaging. Here we present a review of few methods from simple thresholding to advanced deep learning methods for segmentation of tumor from MRI data. The segmentation of tumor methods is classified to image segmentation using gray level processing, machine learning and deep learning. The results of various methods are compared to find the best methods available. As medical imaging methods have improving day by day this review will help to understand emerging trends in brain tumor detection.

Wireless technology is one of the most common technologies used in our day to day life. As wireless technology is very much easier to implement rather than wired, day by day its application is increasing. Through the continuous development of wireless communication technology it is now highly used in wireless equipment controlling. That is we can control our electronics and electrical equipments from a certain distant part. In this paper a multipurpose radio controlled car is designed with nRF24L01 wireless transceiver module, Arduino Uno R3 and DC motors to monitor risky areas. The RC vehicle is controlled by a distant controller or transmitter unit to move the vehicle to the risky location for monitoring.

AbstractChina has become a land of social protests. Yet the Chinese state possesses considerable capacity and is rising on the world stage day by day. Why and how do Chinese people take to the streets? Where does their activism lead? This paper draws on a rich body of existing literature to provide an overview of the broad landscape of Chinese contentious politics and to dig deeper into a few common or emerging forms of social conflict. It then explores the various structural and political opportunity-based explanations for why protest occurs in China, before describing the ways in which different organizations and different framings of issues by citizens affect how protests play out. Shifting to where protests lead, the paper briefly surveys a variety of coercive and conciliatory institutions China possesses for social control and then documents distinct patterns in the state’s handling of different types of resistance—repressive, tolerant, concessionary, and mixed approaches—followed by an examination of the multifaceted impact of unrest. The conclusion offers suggestions for future researchers. Reviewing major concepts, debates, perspectives, and emerging research directions in studies of contentious politics in the world’s most populous country, this paper contributes to a more nuanced understanding of authoritarian politics and authoritarian resilience more generally.

The US Navy has operated gas turbines (GT’s) on board different types of vessel for several decades. To safe guard these engines against the harsh marine atmosphere several types of air inlet filtration system have been employed, with varying degrees of success. The purpose of this paper is to explore the various filtration technologies which are currently used in all GT inlet filtration applications; point out the benefits of each; and debate how these may be practically applied to the “Modern” Naval GT application. The changing vessel operational requirements; environmental requirements; advances in GT design; and how these impact the design of the GT inlet filtration system will be discussed. The current trends in Naval GT inlet filtration system specifications will also be detailed. The significant divergence of these from the capabilities of current marine GT filtration technology used will be highlighted. Recommendations will be proposed regarding how this situation may be addressed with the use of filtration technologies currently used in other GT applications.
