This systematic review aims to resolve the controversy that exists in the relationship between generativity and culture, in order to clarify the approach of generative study from a cultural perspective in future empirical research. The articles included in the review, published between 1990 and 2019, should be peer-reviewed scientific articles with explicit content about both terms. In the search, five databases were used combining multidisciplinary repositories with specialized databases, obtaining a total of thirty articles eligible for this review (n = 30). The analysis of the articles is divided into four categories that provide information about different dimensions of the relationship between both concepts: the limits of cultural generativity, cross-cultural comparisons of the structure of generativity, effects and cultural interpretations of generativity, and cultural evidences of its application and potential usefulness. In conclusion, the most psychological aspects that structure generativity are common interculturally, however, the motives, conception and interpretation of generative behavior seem to vary intensely from one type of culture to another.

The increasing emergence of algorithms in our daily use of technologies comes with a growing field of empirical research trying to understand how aware and knowledgeable individuals are about algorithms. This field is marked by a certain diversity in terms of how it theorizes and measures people’s literacy when interacting with algorithms. We propose converging on the term algorithmic literacy that covers different dimensions used by previous research. This article summarizes the state of knowledge on algorithmic literacy by systematically presenting initial steps in theory building and measurement development. Drawing on this, we propose an agenda including five different directions that future research could focus on: 1) theory building to understand algorithmic literacy, 2) addressing the algorithmic divide, 3) uncovering the relationship between algorithmic literacy and attitudes, 4) examining algorithmic literacy as predictor for user behavior, and 5) exploring ways to increase algorithmic literacy.

Instead of a common cultural perspective, university culture is experienced at three distinct levels: the enterprise, the profession and the cognate area. Each of them exerts a powerful influence on the ideology or systems of beliefs that characterize academics and academic institutions. Thus, many different dimensions should be assessed in order to indicate which of them can affect universities performance and decision-making regarding innovation. This paper concerns higher education in Greece, as applied today and in the forthcoming years and its aim is ternary; firstly, the study on the implementation of international innovation indicators in education, secondly the use of innovative teaching practices and finally the relationship between different organizations and its impact on innovative educational practices. The primary research contacted with the use of a questionnaire on a sample of 471 teachers all over Greece. The findings among others show that the higher the level of innovation regarding educational services, the higher also is the level of innovation on educational processes.

Nonsuicidal self-injury (NSSI) is one of the strongest predictors of suicidal behavior. Despite this, the field still has a limited understanding of the mechanisms by which this relationship is conferred. As there has been a proliferation of research in this area over the past decade, an updated systematic review of the empirical research examining potential factors driving the relationship between NSSI and suicide-related outcomes is needed to move the field forward. We identified only 18 studies examining moderators or mediators of the relationship. Research to date does little to improve our understanding of the robust, prospective relationship between NSSI and suicide outcomes, highlighting a foundational gap in both the empirical and theoretical literature. Thus, we propose the Nonsuicidal to Suicidal Self-Injury Pathway Model, an expanded theoretical model of this relationship drawing on extant theory and empirical research, as well as discuss future directions for work in this area.

Abstract. Athletic performance and their relationship with competitive anxiety is a recurring theme in sport psychology studies. The idea that somehow anxiety influences on the performance of athletes has always been present despite not understand how this affects performance, and despite not having the empirical support. In this article a systematic review is performed using the database Web of Knowledge, in order to clarify the current status of the idea, which are the dominant theoretical frameworks and empirical say about results. A journey is made by the steps performed from the selection of keywords, selecting the database, through the sieve of the articles and the criteria for inclusion, reaching the final results, which indicate that there is insufficient evidence to clarify the relationship between sports performance and anxiety.

The concept of trust within organizations, or intraorganizational trust, has been considered as a potential mechanism to increase performance and as such has attracted growing interest in the organizational literature. However, despite the increasing number of studies examining the relationship between intraorganizational trust and performance, this apparently positive link has not been consistently confirmed by empirical research, and a deeper understanding is called for. Moreover, the literature on the trust–performance link is highly fragmented and dispersed. This study carries out a systematic review of the evidence, focusing on the vertical dimension of intraorganizational trust and performance relationship in an attempt to provide an integrative picture of the existing literature and to propose new research avenues on the topic. Specifically, this systematic review delves deeper into the antecedents, mediating effects, and moderators of vertical intraorganizational trust and performance, providing a more comprehensive framework for these relationships.
