There is a dearth of scholarship on the relationship between international trade and health status in countries. This paper contributes to filling this gap by proposing a formal analytical framework to study the link between the extent of health issues carved out from trade agreements by negotiating countries and their expenditure on public health. We also examine the role played by the nature of the political and fiscal regime prevalent in the country in the securing of the carve-outs. The model predicts that a higher level of carve-outs is more likely for countries that have relatively low levels of public health spending and which tend to be more politically free and fiscally liberal. We provide anecdotal evidence that supports our findings.

This study has two main objectives: first, to find traces of teaching methods in a language class and second, to study the relationship between intended learning outcomes and uptake, which is defined as what students claim to have learned. In order to identify the teaching method, after five sessions of observation, class activities and procedures were compared with typical techniques of previous methods. The findings showed that the teacher’s method was an eclectic one which mostly followed CLT guidelines along with utilizing techniques from some other methods such as GTM, DM, and ALM. In the study of uptake, the students were given uptake charts (for vocabulary and grammar items) at the end of each session and based on their reports of uptaken items, it was concluded that uptake can reflect the intended learning outcomes and instructional procedures to a good extent, specifically for grammar items. Regarding idiosyncrasy of uptake, it was not found to be remarkably idiosyncratic, i.e. there was not much individual variation among learners’ reported uptake.

The principles of repertoire choice are that it should represent various styles; that the expressive content should be in the realm of the emotional world of children; that there should be at least one compositional device in the music which is perceivable from the point of view of students. The relationship of participation and listening is explored through practical illustrations.

This paper mainly describes how to build a trust relationship in kindergarten and why trust is so important for children’s education. As the relationship between teachers and parents is becoming more and more tense, the relationship between teachers and teachers is becoming more and more independent (Tschannen-Moran, 2014)[57]. The trust relationship has a profound impact on children’s academic and social achievement (Bryk and Schneider, 2002)[5]. Therefore, the establishment of the trust relationship is of vital importance in kindergartens. The whole article can be divided into three parts: what, why and how. What is trust first, mentioned a few scholars understanding of trust and understanding? The second part is why trust is important in kindergartens and the factors influencing trust are mentioned. The third part is the focus of this paper, how to do to build trust in kindergarten. This article mentions five solutions, including hiring good leaders; advance step by step according to the order of establishing trust relationship; building a culture of trust in schools; building trust between parents and teachers, teachers and students, and teachers and teachers; using the teaching method adopts the child-centered teaching mode.

Generation Z students mount challenges to develop teaching methods in the millennium era due to their diverse characteristics from the previous generation as they are proficient in utilizing the internet, less attentive to each other and the environment, prefer immediate things regardless of all complex processes they shall go through. This study aims to seek the relationship pattern between Generation Z clusters, teaching methods, and internet usage frequency. This study involved 222 junior high school students in Jakarta. The two-step cluster, cross-tabulation, and correspondence analysis were used for data analysis. The method used is correspondence analysis. The findings indicated that internet usage frequency has a significant relationship with Generation Z clusters and teaching methods. The results concluded that students who use the internet less than five hours prefer the full tutorial method and group assignments, and those who use the internet more than five hours prefer tutorial and field assignments

The current research is an analysis on the quality of an instrument that is used to measure educator performance at a college in West Nusa Tenggara. The research aims to improve the quality of the instrument. Factor Analysis is used in the study. There are 3 measurement factors in the instrument, those are pedagogic factors (5 indicators), professionalism (11 indicators) and personality (3 indicators). The result shows that: 1) those indicators can be classified into two factors, formal factors and informal factors. Formal factors is institutional and structured, such as the indicators of subject matter delivery, the use of teaching method, the use of relevance example, and the use of learning media and tools. Meanwhile, informal factors is non-institutional, which tends to be emotional relationship or informal relationship, such as educators capability in creating pleasant and friendly classroom; 2) It is found that some indicators need to be removed because they have indicator values less than 0.5, for instance the indicator that ‘lecturers explain the relationship between the subjects being taught and other subjects outside that subjects’ is need to be removed because it has a similar meaning with another indicator that is ‘lectures explain the application of the subject in real life’.

This research aims to describe about teaching methode of teachers, learning interest students, and to determine the relationship between teaching method of teachers and learning interest students in MTs Aisyiyah Ujung Belakang Olo Padang. The research used the quantitative descriptive. The technique used to collect data in this study is the observation, the documentation, and the questionnaires. The findings showed that in MTs Aisyiyah Ujung Belakang Olo Padang: 1) teaching method of teachers is not good in presentation in the class, 2) learning interest students is lower, and 3) this study also indicate that relationship between teaching method of teachers and learning interest students.

The current study aims at finding out the reality of using modern teaching methods in teaching Arabic for speakers of other languages from teachers’ perspective in the Language Center at the University of Jordan in terms of its availability and use as well as finding out the effect of variables such as qualification, work experience, and sex. The sample of the study included 26 teachers. The researcher uses a descriptive and analytical method because it is appropriate for the study. To achieve the goals of the study, the researcher designed a tool for the study that is made up of two parts; the first of which includes 23 modern teaching methods to show their availability and use. The second of which are the criteria that have to be taken into consideration when using a modern teaching method. To analyze the results of the study and to process its data statistically, arithmetic averages and standard deviations have been calculated. These findings show the reality of modern teaching methods in the Language Center at the University of Jordan. They also indicate that the use of modern teaching methods in teaching Arabic to speakers of other languages is restricted to a certain number of them, and that other methods are available.The findings also indicate that there are no statistically significant differences due to qualification except for the modern teaching methods and their relation to teachers as well as learners. The findings also indicate that thereare no statistically significant differences due to sex except for the relationship of modern teaching methods to teachers as well as to learners, which are in favor of females. The findings indicate that there are substantial statistical differences due to different experience and in favor of experienced teachers with 11 years of experience and more. Based on these findings, the researcher recommendsintroducing more modern teaching methods in teaching Arabic to speakers of other languages. He also recommends carrying out similar studies to identify the perspectives of teachers, learners, and the administration of centers and institutes concerned with teaching Arabic for speakers of other languages. These studies are necessaryto find out the reality of the use of modern teaching methods and their importance in teaching Arabic to speakers of other languages. The researcher stresses the necessity of having special labs for modern teaching methods in language centers.

This paper aims to suggest a strategy for employing cooperative learning in situations where traditional methods are of great domination. It also explores tertiary students' attitudes toward cooperative learning. Furthermore, it checks the relationship between the total group achievement and its individual members'. Students' creativity is also another concern of this study. The sample of this study is third-year students at college of education Al-Mahra, Hadhramout University for the academic year 2017-2018. The study uses a mixed-methods research design (qualitative and quantitative) by observing the students' performances on the use of the teaching method principles applied by them and their creativity in selecting the materials for applying the chosen teaching method. Questionnaire is also used at the end of the semester to find out students' attitudes about using cooperative learning. The study found that cooperative learning plays good roles in reflecting what the students have studied to their mates. Moreover, the study revealed that there is strong relationship between group degree of success and its members' achievement in the final term scores in the course. Depending on the findings, the researcher concludes that whenever students are given the chance to select their learning habits, creativity appears
