The purpose of this paper is to identify the main determinants conditioning supply and demand in health tourism based on systems theory. An empirical analysis of medical tourism, wellness tourism and medical wellness tourism in the Province of Alicante is carried out, applying the aforementioned approach. Methodologically, the work is based on the task to systematize the existing Anglo-German literature on the subject that has not been translated into Spanish. The relevance of this article lies in the novelty of the methodological approach and its application to health tourism as well as its application to a consolidated tourist area, such as the Province of Alicante, where this modality is established and has been working for decades.

Based on a literature review on the theoretical foundations of information marketing and user studies were selected two master dissertations of a Postgraduate Program in Information Science that addressed user studies as a methodological procedure to understand the relationship between supply and demand. The objective of reporting the results of the two master dissertations was to highlight the alternative approach for these studies focusing on users’ perception as a methodological procedure to study the management of information supply and demand in a digital library and a management information system in an information marketing perspective. Despite the different objectives of the dissertations selected, it is inferred that alternative approach of users studies as a methodological procedure to study the users' perception about information supply and demand is possible. This theoretical and methodological approach to integrate the concepts and principles of information marketing in user studies in the context of management of information supply and demand is significant as a contribution to the knowledge on the subject studied.

The numerous forms of health tourism are gaining an enhanced presence in world tourism these days and this is also true of some countries' economic success. Health tourism with ongoing development over the past decade has seen a dynamic development, primarily in the area of wellness tourism at both national and international levels. Consequently, the advance of health tourism is given significant importance in developing countries. This form of tourism is considered one of the spheres of great importance to which the population pays attention. Health tourism encourages both the prevention of physical and emotional exhaustion and the treatment of many chronic illnesses. For this reason, for a more productive and healthy vacation, tourists go to resort areas, which are the main component of the medical health tourism. Medical tourism on a global scale is one of the most dynamically developing types of tourism. So, according to the forecast of the World Health Organization Conservation Agency (WHO), by 2022 tourism together with the healthcare sector will become one of the most priority areas for the development of national economies. In this article advantages of health and recreational tourism, the ways of providing this service in different countries, recreational facilities, infrastructure   and resource of Uzbekistan are going to be represented. Besides that, some problems in local recreational tourism with the example of “Zaamin” Sanatorium in Jizzakh region of Uzbekistan based on the personal communication are going to be expended.

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to delineate a clear definition of health tourism, and to explain it in two sub-categories, namely, medical tourism, and wellness tourism. Design/methodology/approach – Grounded theory approach through an in-depth literature review and practical data from three different cities were researched to support the study. Findings – Determinants of travelers’ decision making for the destination of health tourism, such as distance, cost, language, economy, competency of medical technology, and culture, in each classification of health tourism, were identified. Originality/value – This study suggests an inductive research model to synthesize and structure a logical relationship of determinants that affect health tourists’ decision to visit specific health tourism destinations. The results of this study are quite revealing to governments, industrial practitioners, and potential customers of health tourism in terms of the context of health tourism and the behavior of health tourists.

The article highlights approaches to the development of health-improving tourism. The purpose of the article is to investigate medical and health tourism in Ukraine and to identify the preconditions for forming measures for further development. The subject-matter of the study is the theoretical and practical aspects of the development of health and wellness tourism in the country. In the course of the study, the following methods are used: dialectical, logical, and system approaches – to identify patterns and factors of development of health-improving tourism, graphical analysis – for the schematic representation of the generalized theoretical and practical results of the study, logical generalization of the results – to substantiate the main approaches to the development of health-improving tourism in the country. A healthy nation is a key to a successful country, therefore, studying the conceptual issues of ensuring and implementing methods of medical and recreational activities among the population is very relevant. Among the main methods of health-improving activities of people is tourism. An analysis is made among the main development indicators of health-improving tourism, where: during the study period, there was an increase in the number of subjects of tourist activities, including travel agents and subjects carrying out excursions, but negative is the reduction of tour operators; increase in the number of employed; increase in the number of tourists served by tourist enterprises; the average annual increase in the number of tourists, tourists traveling abroad, tourists within Ukraine. The number of places in the health-improving tourism establishments has decreased, while the servicing of visitors, on the contrary, has increased. Positive is the increase in the arrival of foreigners. There is justified the establishment of the central fund for the promotion of health-improving tourism development in order to increase the efficiency of state regulation, stimulate innovation-investment processes in health-improving tourism, which in turn will ensure an increase in the quality and standard of living of the population, which will lead to the sustainability of the socio-economic development of the state. The main goals and tasks of the central fund for the development of health-improving tourism are defined; directions of its activity and sources of financing are outlined. The work of the fund will enable intensifying tourist and sports activities in the country and increasing the efficiency of medicalrecreational processes of the population in the current conditions of integration.

The article presents a methodological approach to studying iterative processes in the school course of geometry, by the example of constructing a Koch snowflake fractal curve and calculating a few characteristics of it. The interactive creative environment 1C:MathKit is chosen to visualize the method discussed. By performing repetitive constructions and algebraic calculations using ICT tools, students acquire a steady skill of work with geometric objects of various levels of complexity, comprehend the possibilities of mathematical interpretation of iterative processes in practice, and learn how to understand the dialectical unity between finite and infinite parameters of flat geometric figures. When students are getting familiar with such contradictory concepts and categories, that replenishes their experience of worldview comprehension of the subject areas they study through the concept of “big ideas”. The latter allows them to take a fresh look at the processes in the world around. The article is a matter of interest to schoolteachers of computer science and mathematics, as well as university scholars who teach the course “Concepts of modern natural sciences”.

Chapter 1 introduces the subject of institutional memory of strategic errors, discusses why it matters for international organizations (IOs) that engage in crisis management and reviews the book’s argument, competing explanations and methodological approach. One strategic error in the mandate or planning of an operation can increase the likelihood of casualties on the battlefield. Knowledge of past errors can help prevent future ones. The chapter explores an empirical puzzle; there remain key differences between how one expects IOs to learn and observed behavior. Moreover, scholars have largely treated institutional memory as a given without explaining how it develops. From relevant scholarship, the chapter identifies limitations of three potential explanations. The chapter then introduces a new argument for how IOs develop institutional memory. Subsequent sections describe research design and explain why NATO is selected as the domain of study. Last, the chapter identifies major contributions to literature and describes the book’s structure.

AbstractThe ‘family house’ has played a major role within the urbanisation processes that have been transforming the Italian landscape since the 1960s. It is a common feature of the widespread settlements that are part of what has been labelled the ‘diffuse city’ and was the subject of numerous studies during the 1990s. More than 20 years later, this paper returns to the topic of the Italian family house using a renewed methodological approach to describe relevant changes. The hypothesis here is that in order to grasp the tensions affecting ‘family houses’ in today’s context of demographic transition and increased imbalances between dynamic and declining areas, and to contemplate their future, the qualitative gaze adopted by scholars in the 1990s must be integrated with other investigative tools, focusing on demographic change, uses, and the property values of buildings. Using this perspective, the paper provides a series of ‘portraits’ rooted in four meaningful territorial contexts, portraits which may help scholars to redefine their imagery associated with family house and be useful for dedicated building policies.

Formative market research is the first step in developing evidence-based sanitation marketing programs. In Malawi, the design, implementation and evaluation of rural sanitation marketing programs has been limited. This study applied a mixed methodological approach to examine the dynamic interactions between the supply and demand of sanitation in three rural districts. The supply assessment identified an extremely limited range of latrine options. Sanitation suppliers reported very low household demand for their existing latrine options. An additional constraint reported by suppliers was householders' perception of a hardware subsidy for latrine construction. The demand assessment found a key constraint of constructing an unlined pit latrine was their short time-in-use (11–13 months). Householders expressed despondency at having to consistently rebuild collapsed, unlined pit latrines. For brick-lined latrines, a key barrier was affordability combined with an over-estimation of construction costs. Key motivations to construct brick-lined latrines included product attributes and social drivers. Wide variations in access to income and use of micro-finance organizations were recorded within and across the study sites. Formative market research is an iterative process from which new lines of investigation arise. This study provides information that will provide a foundation for the ongoing research, design, implementation and monitoring of rural sanitation marketing programs in Malawi.

Our country’s economy and society continue to develop. With the popularization of national education and the growth of per capita annual income, the people are paying more and more attention to experience situations, and the tourism industry has entered the era of experience economy. In addition, at the end of 2019, my country's population over 65 years old accounted for 11.4%, and the 60-year-old retired group accounted for 18.1% (approximately 253 million people). In fact, it has entered an aging society, and the demand for health tourism has become more intense. Therefore, the citizens' demand for experience and health tourism has become more obvious. How to meet the development needs of health and wellnesstourism under the background of experience economy is an extremely important research topic. The research purpose of this article is to explore the problems of health and wellness tourism experience projects from the perspective of experience marketing, and put forward corresponding suggestions. This study uses the well-known tourist destination in Panxi, China: Qionglu Scenic Area, XichangCity, Sichuan Province, to interview local tourists through in-depth interviews. A total of 20 effective interview samples are obtained and analyzed by content analysis. The results of the analysis show that the respondents’ perception of health and wellnesstourism is mostly to promote health tourism, which roughly conforms to the definition of health and wellness tourism. Secondly, in terms of health and wellness tourism experience activities, respondents prefer catering activities, and focus on mountain and water experience activities. Therefore, this research suggests that destination managers and operators should make good use of local natural resources and cultural characteristics of the Yi ethnic group, focus on developing mountain and water experience projects, highlight ethnic minority dining and cultural characteristics, and meet consumer health and tourism needs.
