In the paper is presented review of some approaches corelated with subject of using fractional derivatives in control system theory. Popular algorithms used in the industry are presented, along with relating designing methodology. Using of fractional derivatives calculations is relatively new concept, but constantly getting increasing interest. Deliberation in recent years indicate that many scientific problems like thermodynamic or biology problems can be well considered and modeled by fractional order derivatives. On the market there is available tools that support a processes of identification and regulators designing, based on experimental data. One of such tools are toolbox CRONE for MATLAB, which contains three modules: mathematical, identifying, system control designing. That toolbox allows implementation of CRONE regulators with different level of complexity. Other tool is FOMCON, which also is a toolbox for MATLAB and it is based on already existed toolbox FOTF. FOMCON allows to identifying of control system and PIλDµ regulator designing. This article is aiming to present current state of art, discussion about existing tools and concepts correlated with fractional order derivatives and their usage in control system theory, like: gamma function, definition of fractional derivative, Laplace transform and basics of control system theory.

We propose a new definition of fractional derivatives based on truncated left-handed Grünwald-Letnikov formula with0<α<1and median correction. Analyzing the difficulties to choose the fractional orders and unsatisfied processing results in signal processing using fractional-order partial differential equations and related methods; we think that the nonzero values of the truncated fractional order derivatives in the smooth regions are major causes for these situations. In order to resolve the problem, the absolute values of truncated parts of the G-L formula are estimated by the median of signal values of the remainder parts, and then the truncated G-L formula is modified by replacing each of the original signal value to the differences of the signal value and the median. Since the sum of the coefficients of the G-L formula is zero, the median correction can reduce the truncated errors greatly to proximate G-L formula better. We also present some simulation results and experiments to support our theory analysis.

Purpose. The aim of the article is to reveal theoretical bases of organization of accounting and control of finished products of the enterprise. Methodology of research. General scientific and special methods are used to achieve this goal: the dialectical method of scientific knowledge – to consider the nature of the finished product, to determine the main aspects of the organization of accounting and control of finished products; synthesis – for the classification of finished products; graphic – to visually display of the obtained results; abstract logical method – for the formation of conclusions and suggestions of the study. Findings. Various interpretations regarding the definition of the essence of “finished products” are considered in the article. The classification of finished products by form, level of readiness and technological complexity has been formed. The formation of finished product accounting at the enterprise is investigated. The features of the formation of a control system for the movement of finished products of the enterprise are considered. The main aspects of the organization of accounting for finished products are identified and typical correspondence for the accounting of products at the enterprise is proposed. Originality. The interpretation of the concept of “finished products” is systematized and generalized. It is proposed to consider the finished product as a product that has passed all production stages, meets all the delivered quality and technical characteristics and can be deposited for storage or immediately sold to the customer or buyer. An updated classification of finished products is proposed. Recommendations are developed to improve the control system of the entity. Practical value. The expediency of studying and further developing the process of organizing the accounting and control of finished products is proved. The results of the study can be used by industrial enterprises in the production and sale of products. Key words: finished products; production; system control; profit; sales.

The fractional traveling wave solution of important Whitham–Broer–Kaup equations was investigated by using the q-homotopy analysis transform method and natural decomposition method. The Caputo definition of fractional derivatives is used to describe the fractional operator. The obtained results, using the suggested methods are compared with each other as well as with the exact results of the problems. The comparison shows the best agreement of solutions with each other and with the exact solution as well. Moreover, the proposed methods are found to be accurate, effective, and straightforward while dealing with the fractional-order system of partial differential equations and therefore can be generalized to other fractional order complex problems from engineering and science.

AbstractThe fact that the first variation of a variational functional must vanish along an extremizer is the base of most effective solution schemes to solve problems of the calculus of variations. We generalize the method to variational problems involving fractional order derivatives. First order splines are used as variations, for which fractional derivatives are known. The Grünwald-Letnikov definition of fractional derivative is used, because of its intrinsic discrete nature that leads to straightforward approximations.

In the printing process, it mainly depends on the stability of systematic tension control to ensure the quality of print. Meanwhile, systematic tension is mainly created from unwinding section, from which it is easy to cause fluctuation and variation of tension. Hence, how to maintain the stability of the tension in unwinding system has become a key problem to tension control system. Unwinding system is a typical multi-input-multi-output, nonlinear and strong coupling system. It is difficult to control with the traditional design method. In this paper, we realize the system’s decoupling and linearization based on the inverse system theory, which make the system change from a coupled and nonlinear system to two order pseudo-linear systems after a series of control variable transformations. We introduce active-damping into the pseudo-linear system to overcome the zero-damping and enhance the ability of disturbance-resist. On the basis of these, a PID controller is designed for the unwinding tension control system. Though simulation and analysis, it shows that the proposed strategy of inverse system decoupling control can achieve the decoupling unwinding control system, and the PID controller which is designed after introducing the active-damping makes the system get an ideal control effect.

This study implements the auto start control system on an electric motor 3 phase C4Feeding pump when the discharge pressure is low-low (4.3 kg /cm²). The C4 feeding pumpmotor was initially manually operated from the local control station, this was very ineffectiveand inefficient because it still relied on the field operator to operate the pump motor and whenthe plant was in normal operating it is very risk if the field operator late to operate motor then itwill impact to quality of the product, and if the delay time to operate motor is too long then planthave to shut down, therefore improvement is needed in the C4 feeding pump motor controlsystem. In this paper, various types of 3-phase motor control are explained which allow it to beapplied to the C4 feeding pump motor that are on-off, inverter, and variable speed drive andefficient selection of the three systems control of the motor. Software and hardware used in thisthesis work are DCS CENTUM VP Yokogawa.

The fractional integrals of Bessel-type Fractional Integrals from left-sided and right-sided integrals of fractional order is established on finite and infinite interval of the real-line, half axis and real axis. The Bessel-type fractional derivatives are also established. The properties of Fractional derivatives and integrals are studied. The fractional derivatives of Bessel-type of fractional order on finite of the real-line are studied by graphical representation. Results are direct output of the computer algebra system coded from MATLAB R2011b.

: Biological markers (biomarkers) play a key role in drug development, regulatory approval and clinical care of patients and are linked to clinical and surrogate outcomes. : Both acromegaly and Growth Hormone Deficiency (GHD) are pathological conditions related to important comorbidities that, in addition to having stringent diagnostic criteria, require valid markers for the definition of treatment, treatment monitoring and follow-up. GH and insulin-like growth factor-I (IGF-I) are the main biomarkers of GH action in children and adults while, in acromegaly, both GH and IGF-I are established biomarkers of disease activity. : However, although GH and IGF-I are widely validated biomarkers of GHD and acromegaly, their role is not completely exhaustive or suitable for clinical classification and follow-up. Therefore, new biological markers for acromegaly and GH replacement therapy are strongly needed. : The aim of this paper is to review and summarize the current state in the field pointing out new potential biomarkers for acromegaly and GH use/abuse.

The paper presents results obtained by processing a series of published experimental data on heat and mass transfer during evaporation of pure liquids from the free board of a liquid film into the turbulent gas phone. The data has been processed on the basis of the earlier theory of mechanism of heat and mass transfer. In spite of the fact that this process exhibits a strong Stefan's flow, the results indicate that with a proper definition of the driving forces the agreement between theory and experiment is very good.
