Copper II sulphate is one of those contaminants that undermine the economic, environment and deleterious health effects on people. Kaolin sample from Illela local government of Sokoto state, Nigeria was used as adsorbent for removal of Copper II sulphate and to check for the effect of concentration. The collected kaolin sample was pretreated to remove debris, grinded and dried. The adsorption methods of the parameters onto the kaolin were investigated by maintaining constant amount of adsorbent, temperature and other factors except for concentration. The results from different concentrations shows that with increase in concentration of the copper solution, the more the kaolin adsorbed. From the findings, it was established that kaolin form Illela local government of Sokoto state, Nigeria can serve as an economic, safe and effective natural adsorbent for removal of copper II sulphate from wastewater.

In this study, the methane adsorption capacity of kerogen isolated from the Cambrian, Silurian, and Permian shales and the impact of soluble organic matter (SOM) on the adsorption capacity of these shales were investigated. The results reveal that 1) the adsorption capacity of kerogen varies in a broad range, from 14.48 to 23.22 cm3/g for the Cambrian kerogens, from 15.50 to 36.06 cm3/g for the Silurian kerogens, and from 10.71 to 11.15 cm3/g for the Permian kerogens; 2) the kerogen adsorption accounts for 33.67–70.23% of the total adsorption capacity of these Palaeozoic extracted shales, demonstrating that kerogen is the primary adsorbing substance in shales; 3) the adsorption isotherms of kerogen in highly mature Cambrian and Silurian shales are similar to those of Triassic coal, while the isotherms of kerogen in the relatively immature Permian shales are similar to those of the immature oil shales; and 4) the SOM demonstrates a significant impact on the adsorption capacity of shales as the removal of SOM can cause a maximum increase of 34.29% or a decrease of 23.36% in the total adsorption capacity of shales. However, there is no clear understanding of the impact of SOM on the methane sorption of shales.

In an effort to solve the congestion problem, the local government of Malang City has taken various steps. However, unfortunately, the result has not been effective. This shows that the efforts that have been taken so far are sectoral, therefore a more comprehensive approach is needed in order to reach a more effective result. This research aims at re-evaluating the determination of Malang City's urban spatial structure through the delineation of narrower units of area using the centrality index method. The research suggests that urban spatial structures have a very clear pattern of association with congestion locations. It can be concluded that the local government of Malang City needs to put more consideration on evaluating the urban spatial structure to solve the problem of transportation which is ever-growing the in second largest urban area in East Java Province.

Rhizopus oryzae, strain IMI 057412, was immobilised by inclusion in six different polymers: polyvinlformal, polysulfone, polyurethane, alginate, polyacrylamide, k-carrageenan, polyethyleneimine(PEI). It was also grown on a seventh, polyurethane. The biomass/polymer matrices were formed into equal size units (4 mm spheres or cubes) and the resulting biomass/polymer matrices were used to uptake copper at 2 mg/l from a laboratory-formulated copper solution in shake flask experiments at room temperature and initially neutral pH. Results showed that the copper uptake capacity of immobilised biomass was either equal to or less than that of free biomass. Biomass immobilised in polyurethane gave a capacity equal to that of free biomass, while other matrices hindered the uptake to different degrees. The k-carrageenan matrix proved to be unstable in the copper solution and dissolved during the experiment releasing the biomass and leading to an erroneous result. The polymer matrices without biomass, with theexception of alginate and polysulfone, showed no measurable copper adsorption capacity. All the experiments were conducted in duplicate with a maximum variation between them of 7%.

This study aims to determine and analyze the Diversification Strategy of Cultural Attractions in Support of Tourism Development in Wakatobi Village. This research method is qualitative research. The determination of the informants in this study was obtained by purposive sampling. The informants are community leaders and traditional leaders who are key informants. The results show that the opportunity for Wakatobi Regency to become a cultural tourism destination can be opened, because it is supported by the exoticism of local communities with their cultural diversity. The strategy that can be prioritized in the development of Wakatobi village tourism is the diversification of cultural attractions that are organized through institutions or Tourism Awareness Groups initiated by the community and funded by the local government and acting as an active facilitator. It seems that the political will and political commitment of leaders to maximize local government efforts need to be supported by tourism stakeholders from the government, private sector and the wider community, this is a weakness that needs to be covered so that the strategy in developing Community Base Tourism (CBT) tourism in Wakatobi provides a diversification of attractions. tour which is actually quite interesting to witness.
