Tourism is one of the most growing industries all around the world. Bangladesh is a new tourist destination on the map of the world. Bangladesh has enormous potential to develop tourism because of its attractive natural beauty and rich cultural heritage. The tourism industry of Bangladesh has several positive impacts on the overall economy of this country.  Tourism can add value to the Bangladeshi economy if a proper marketing plan and strategy can be built and implemented for this purpose. The main objective of the study was to find out the major problems and prospects of the tourism industry in Bangladesh. The study area was Cumilla District. The study has tried to highlight the special attractive tourist spots of Bangladesh, especially in Cumilla. Tourists of Cumilla District were the population of the study.  For the study, a convenient sample of tourists from various tourist spots in the Cumilla District had taken. The study depended on both primary and secondary data; primary data were collected with a structured questionnaire and analyzed. From the analysis, it was found that the majority of the respondents are satisfied with cultural & religious heritage, transportation quality & cost efficiency. But they are dissatisfied with Information gaps, the absence of tour operators, poor service of hotel & poor security. Most of them suggest developing infrastructure such as accommodation, transportation, ensuring security, taking more promotional activities, reducing the cost of touring, etc. To enhance the existing image sincere steps of the concerned authorities can really be helpful; some guidelines have been mentioned in the recommendation part.

Present Tourism Strategy focuses on increasing tourism related employment in Sri Lanka. It is difficult to attract entry level employees to tourism industry given many reasons. This study aims identifying barriers for potential employment for people in rural areas and it will facilitate human resource builders in tourism industry. As a rural area with pool of job seekers, Kotmale was selected for this study. The sample size has been determined by using stratified sampling method and convenience sampling method was used to select respondents. Primary data collected through a pre-tested structured questionnaire and secondary data were used for the study. Mixed methodology was employed to analyze data. The results revealed social considerations, recruitment process, skills development, progression pathways, cultural barriers and lack of infrastructure facilities are significant barriers for tourism employment in rural areas. It is recommended to address the above to make tourism employment attractive for rural job seekers.

Tourism marketing depends on successful formulation of strategic planning and its implementation. Tourism can add value in the economy if proper marketing plan and strategy can be built and implemented. Tourism market may be segmented on the basis of local and foreign tourists as well as income level of the tourists. Tourism sector should be properly explored, so that it will have positive contribution towards increase of Gross domestic product. Entrepreneurship development is required in the tourism sector and regional cooperation can bring benefits for Bangladesh. The article tried to analyze various aspects of tourism marketing strategies. Growth of the tourism industry of a country largely depends on domestic and global environment. The situation of the globe as well as current situation of the tourism sector in Bangladesh was also discussed. The study is based on both primary data and secondary data. Time period of the study is in between 1st November 2005 and 31st January 2006. Through estimating a regression equation, authors observe that for Bangladesh- spots and cost of services have positive impact on the tourism sector. Authors suggested that tourism should be acted as an important ingredient of economic development of the country for which synergy may be applied between tourism marketing plan and its implementation process. Integrated marketing communications channel should be used to develop tourism sector of the country.

Covid-19 pandemic has impacted the society, business and economy around the world. The present study is conducted to understand and analyse the impact of Covid-19 crisis on micro-enterprises in Lunglei, Mizoram. For the purpose of the study, 80 micro-enterprises were selected as sample. Primary data were collected by using the structured questionnaire. Secondary data were collected through journals, books and websites. The study reflected that 80% of the enterprises’ revenue were negatively impacted by the pandemic. 58.75% of the enterprises were facing the problems in making obligatory payments such as salaries, wages, rent, taxes, loans etc due to the Covid-19 crisis. The present study also revealed that 28.75% of the enterprises’ working capital were already negative to run the enterprises if Covid-19 crisis continues. Therefore, the study recommended that the government, banks and financial institutions would take steps to alleviate the impact of Covid-19 crisis on the micro-enterprises by providing low interest loans, relaxation of the loan payment, new schemes for entrepreneurs.

The travel industry is one of the most developing businesses all around the globe. Bangladesh can possibly create the travel industry on account of its alluring natural beauty and rich cultural heritage. But the COVID-19 adversely impacts the travel and tourism industry all over the world and Bangladesh is no exception. The main objective of the study was to find out the COVID-19 impact on regional tourism development in Bangladesh-A study of Cumilla district. The study area was Cumilla District. Tourists of Cumilla District were the population of the study. The study has done mainly based on primary and secondary data. For collecting primary data, the survey method is used by distributing online questionnaires through social media. From the analysis, it was found that at present all the tourist places have been opened for tourists. But the presence of tourists is not so high. The majority of the respondents said high damage has been done to Cumilla tourism due to lockdown & it has also caused a lot of damage to the development of the sights & the surrounding area in tourist places. The majority of the respondents are satisfied with transportation quality. But they are dissatisfied with non-compliance with hygiene rules, high cost of touring, poor security & the management style of tourist place authority. Most of them suggest for arranging adequate thermal scanners & hand sanitizer at the entrance of the tourist place, reducing the cost of touring & taking more promotional activity. Some guidelines have been mentioned in the recommendation part.

Hypertension is one of the major problems in Indonesia and in the world. The number of hypertensive cases in Palu city in 2015-2017 was increased. In 2015 as many as 8407 cases, the year 2016 as many as 8697 cases and 2017 as many as 9406 cases. This research aims to determine the economic loss that is borne by hypertension sufferers with concomitant diseases in the inpatient unit of RSU Anutapura Palu. This type of research is quantitative descriptive. Research was conducted from March to June 2019. The population is all patients suffering from hypertension with a concomitant illness that conducts hospitalisation in RSU Anutapura Palu, the number of samples of 78 patients. Primary data collection is through questionnaires and secondary data through the study of patient record documents and other supporting documents. Total economic loss for people with hypertension with concomitant illness in inpatient unit of RSU Anutapura Palu amounting to Rp. 234.318.617 with an average of Rp 3.004.084 per sufferer. The results of this study also showed that the magnitude of the losses suffered by patients especially in patients who are still productive work is advised to carry out regular control every month to prevent the expenditure of the cost of illness that will continue Increased.

This research is an examination and a study on the influence of rewards on job satisfaction of lecturers at Shinas College of Technology (ShCT). In academic industry, rewards are one of the factors that affecting job satisfaction of the employees and this will lead to affect their performance in their jobs. So, when rewards are more the job satisfaction will be high and when rewards are less the job satisfaction will be less. On the other hand, the age will not affect the job satisfaction. Previous research reveals that Job satisfaction is very important to success the industry and the rewards are the main factors which affect job satisfaction. The main purpose of this study is to know the influence of rewards in job satisfaction among the lecturers in ShCT. Moreover, this research attempts to identify how much rewards affect the job satisfaction in ShCT.  For this study used two types of data which are: primary data and secondary data. The sources of primary data is the response from lecturers at ShCT. It is collected through structured questionnaire and distributed such to 60 respondents. Secondary data, collected from internet, books, journals, articles etc.

Jharkhand is popular for tribal culture and uniqueness of its inherent natural beauty attributing significantly on Tourism Industry of Jharkhand. There has been visible change and impact on socio-economic factor because of tourist influx in the Jharkhand state. The inherent beauty and nature has made the state popular for tourism. The attraction towards various important tourist spots revolves mostly within the domestic tourism. The paper attempts to ascertain the impact of tourism traits, like economic Development, Cost of living, Infrastructure Development, Socio-Cultural and the Environment affect through primary data collected from the responses of residents of six dominant tourist circuits of Jharkhand. The respondent’s views were ascertained on five point Likert Scale. The data so collected was subjected to analysis for identifying the impact of various tourism traits on the prospects of Jharkhand Tourism.

The study focused on marketing and value of additions of timber in Ife East Local Government, Osun state Nigeria. Specifically, the study examined the market efficiency, determined the profitability of the timber business, examine the level of value addition and the constraints facing the timber industry. Data were collected with the use of primary and secondary data. Primary data needed for the study were generated from structured questionnaire. Fifteen sawmills were randomly selected and one hundred and fifty questionnaires were distributed to the timber marketer and furniture m firm. One hundred and forty eight were retrieved. The data collected were analyzed using descriptive and budgetary analyses. The result showed that males had the highest percentage (89.2%). Majority of the respondents were within the age range of 40 -50 years (83.8%) and most were married (81.8%) it was further revealed that (67.6%) had regular supply of their product and the means of transportation was lorry (44.6%). The study also revealed that benches with 42% added more value addition to the industry. It showed that the year 2013 had the highest efficiency with 2.6. The budgetary analysis showed that the average revenue for the industry for the year 2012-2018 ranged between N2, 285,108.45, 889,107.12. It also revealed that the total profit for the timber ranged between 7, 340, 54.59 and 2,304,897.47.government policy, inadequate facilities in the market, inadequate facilities in the market, inadequate credit facilities, inadequate power supply and high cost of transportation were some of the constraint faced by the timber industry in Ife East Local Government. Nepal has been a home to diversified settlement in terms of ethnicity, religion, dialect and culture since its outset in civilization. It also lies between two great military and economic giants of Asia – India and China – that are hostile to each other. While these bring abundant opportunities for Nepal, it possesses several internal and external security threats. Nepal suffers from cyber-attack, environmental degradation, pandemic, ethnic, racial or religious conflicts, inequality and poverty, extremism, human trafficking, corruption, migration and trans-boundary crime. In addition, Nepal also faces several security threats, traditional and non–traditional, including terrorism and insurgency. These threats possess serious implications on peace and security of Nepal and the South Asian region. There is a need of serious study about the major internal and external security challenges that Nepal faces in recent decades. This study aims at examining some of the major security challenges, explore the factors behind it, and attempt to suggest few policy recommendations to the government of Nepal to deal with them. The study is conducted by reviewing the primary and secondary sources of data. The primary data includes documents of the government agencies, press release, joint statement and organizational reports. It also includes the interviews with security experts, bureaucrats, policy makers and academicians. Similarly, secondary data includes books, news reports, academic journals, seminars report and reports of research institutes and think tanks. The study highlights that Nepal should prepare itself to meet with the emerging internal and external security challenges what have emerged in recent times. With the rise of India and China, two adversarial powers in the region, Nepal possess extreme challenges in days to come. Similarly, hardly any countries of the world had prepared itself to deal with recent pandemic like COVID-19 that has shattered even the most powerful countries of the world. Taking lessons from these, it is time for Nepal to learn and prepare to mitigate the challenges.

This study identifies the potential of tourism products in Sukajadi Village Bogor Regency based on ten (10) tourism components as well as its development strategy, which is currently included in the category of a newly developing tourist village. The results of this research are aggressive and serious development strategies in all aspects of the tourism component, namely increasing the quality and diversification of tourist attractions and activities, accessibility, improving the quality and quantity of tourism amenities, improving the quality of human resources & institutions, community support, land use, tourism industry cooperation, as well as marketing aspects. This research type is a descriptive qualitative with a case study exploratory approach. Primary data is obtained from direct observation and interviews with key informants, namely Pokdarwis and the Village Head, while secondary data is the result of literature studies and research documentation. The analysis technique of this research uses SWOT analysis and Matrix, analysis of the work program of the vision for tourism development of the Bogor Regency Government which refers to local government master plan for tourism development (RIPPARDA), and also analysis of the Cleanlines, Health, Safety and Environmental Sustainability (CHSE) guidelines.
