The basic goal of this study (as the first step) is to collect the appropriate set of the fundamental astronomic-geodetics parameters for their further use to obtain the components of the density distributions for the terrestrial and outer planets of the Solar system (in the time interval of more than 10 years). The initial data were adopted from several steps of the general way of the exploration of the Solar system by iterations through different spacecraft. The mechanical and geometrical parameters of the planets allow finding the solution of the inverse gravitational problem (as the second stage) in the case of the continued Gaussian density distribution for the Moon, terrestrial planets (Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars) and outer planets (Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune). This law of Gaussian density distribution or normal density was chosen as a partial solution of the Adams-Williamson equation and the best approximation of the piecewise radial profile of the Earth, including the PREM model based on independent seismic velocities. Such conclusion already obtained for the Earth’s was used as hypothetic in view of the approximation problem for other planets of the Solar system where we believing to get the density from the inverse gravitational problem in the case of the Gaussian density distribution for other planets because seismic information, in that case, is almost absent. Therefore, if we can find a stable solution for the inverse gravitational problem and corresponding continue Gaussian density distribution approximated with good quality of planet’s density distribution we come in this way to a stable determination of the gravitational potential energy of the terrestrial and giant planets. Moreover to the planet’s normal low, the gravitational potential energy, Dirichlet’s integral, and other planets’ parameters were derived. It should be noted that this study is considered time-independent to avoid possible time changes in the gravitational fields of the planets.

Error parameters are inevitable in systems. In formal verification, previous reasoning methods seldom considered the probability information of errors. In this article, errors are described as symmetric truncated normal intervals consisting of the intervals and symmetric truncated normal probability density. Furthermore, we also rigorously prove lemmas and a theorem to partially simplify the calculation process of truncated normal intervals and independently verify the formulas of variance and expectation of symmetric truncated interval given by some scholars. The mathematical derivation process or verification codes are provided for most of the key formulas in this article. Hence, we propose a new reasoning method that combines the probability information of errors with the previous statistical reasoning methods. Finally, an engineering example of the reasoning verification of train acceleration is provided. After simulating the large-scale cases, it is shown that the simulation results are consistent with the theoretical reasoning results. This method needs more calculation, while it is more effective in detecting non-error’s fault factors than other error reasoning methods.

Cell volume (CV) regulation is typically studied in short-term experiments to avoid complications resulting from cell growth and division. By combining quantitative phase imaging (by transport-of-intensity equation) with CV measurements (by the exclusion of an external absorbing dye), we were able to monitor the intracellular protein concentration (PC) in HeLa and 3T3 cells for up to 48 h. Long-term PC remained stable in solutions with osmolarities ranging from one-third to almost twice the normal. When cells were subjected to extreme hypoosmolarity (one-quarter of normal), their PC did not decrease as one might expect, but increased; a similar dehydration response was observed at high concentrations of ionophore gramicidin. Highly dilute media, or even moderately dilute in the presence of cytochalasin, caused segregation of water into large protein-free vacuoles, while the surrounding cytoplasm remained at normal density. These results suggest that: (1) dehydration is a standard cellular response to severe stress; (2) the cytoplasm resists prolonged dilution. In an attempt to investigate the mechanism behind the homeostasis of PC, we tested the inhibitors of the protein kinase complex mTOR and the volume-regulated anion channels (VRAC). The initial results did not fully elucidate whether these elements are directly involved in PC maintenance.

Introduction: The detailed expression pattern of calretinin immunohistochemistry in the transition zone (TZ) of Hirschsprung disease (HSCR) has not yet been reported. This study aims to examine the value of calretinin immunohistochemistry for more accurately determining the distal and proximal border of the TZ in short segment HSCR. Methods: Specimens of pull-through surgery from 51 patients with short form of HSCR were analyzed on two longitudinal strips using hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) staining and calretinin immunohistochemistry. Results: In all but two patients, the first appearance of calretinin expression was seen on mucosal nerve fibers before the appearance of any ganglion cells, indicating the distal border of the TZ. The maximum distance between the distal border of the TZ and the proximal border of the TZ, defined by ganglion cells in a normal density on H&E stained sections, a strong calretinin expression on mucosal nerve fibers and in >80% of submucosal and myenteric ganglion cells, with no nerve hypertrophy and absence of ganglionitis was 60 mm. Conclusion: The distal border of the TZ is characterized by calretinin positive intramucosal neurites in nearly all of short form of HSCR and not by calretinin expression on ganglion cells.

AbstractIn N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor (NMDAR) antibody encephalitis, NMDAR-autoantibodies are hypothesised to cause prominent neuropsychiatric symptoms by internalizing NMDARs. However, supporting evidence comes chiefly from in vitro and rodent data with scant direct evidence from affected humans. Here, we used in vivo positron emission tomography (PET) with [18F]GE-179 to show a mean 30% reduction of the density of open, activated NMDARs in grey matter of persistently NMDAR-autoantibody seropositive patients following NMDAR-antibody encephalitis compared to healthy controls. The reduction was most prominent in the anterior temporal and superior parietal cortices. These patients had normal structural MRIs and mild residual symptoms. In contrast, one symptom-free patient who recovered from NMDAR-antibody encephalitis and was not NMDAR-autoantibody seropositive had normal density of active NMDARs. These findings reveal a functional deficit of open, activated NMDARs in humans with NMDAR-autoantibodies. Moreover, we observed a functional NMDAR deficit for up to 8 months following the disease peak, despite only mild residual symptoms, highlighting the considerable compensatory capacity of the human brain.One Sentence SummaryReductions of activated NMDA receptors detected in vivo in female patients following NMDA-receptor-antibody encephalitis.

To find out the effect of cultural techniques on agrophysiological parameters, four combinations ̏planting densities (low density or DF at 350 t/ha, normal density or DN at 510 t/ha) and opening standards (opening at 65cm and opening at 50 cm) ̋ were tested on Hevea brasiliensis clones PB 260, IRCA 111 and RRIM 703. This study was conducted for nine years with a split-plot experimental design of two treatments and two subtreatments repeated three times. The different combinations of treatments and subtreatments tested were low density (DN-50 cm), low density (DN-65 cm), normal density (DF-50 cm), normal density (DF- 65 cm). The parameters evaluated were the production at bleeding and per hectare, the average annual increase in circumference, the rate of tree losses and the rate of trees with dry notches. Production per tree was significantly higher at 350 t/ha and 65 cm opening (DF-65 cm), while per hectare production was higher at 510 t/ha. The girths of the different clones are stronger at DF and at the 65 cm opening. The rate of tree loss and the rate of trees with dry notch were low at the 510 t/ha density and the 65cm opening. The appropriate density and opening standard was "normal density 510 t/ha and opening to circumference 50 cm". The cultivation techniques especially the density and opening standard judiciously applied can participate in the sustainable improvement of rubber productivity of rubber plantations.

Abstract This study aims to analyze the influence of the incorporation of crushed polyethylene terephthalate as a substitute for fine aggregate in percentages of 10%, 15%, and 20% for the elaboration of concrete blocks. The methodology used is experimental quantitative approach, where the influence of the addition of crushed polyethylene terephthalate as a substitute for fine aggregate for the elaboration of concrete blocks was analyzed to identify the variation in the physical and mechanical properties of samples elaborated under different substitutions and in this way compare with the Colombian standard procedures. The results found in this study indicated that the blocks with the different percentages of polyethylene terephthalate presented a good resistance compared to the block without polyethylene terephthalate, which presented a resistance of 8 MPa. The blocks with polyethylene terephthalate at 10%, 15%, and 20% presented an average resistance of 6.36 MPa, 3.58 MPa, and 4.63 MPa, respectively. Finally, it was analyzed that the blocks with 10% aggregate are waterproof with normal density. In comparison, the blocks with 15% and 20% polyethylene terephthalate have high permeability, with the ability to drain 1 liter of water in 105 s and 38 s, respectively.

The epidermis constitutes a continuous external layer covering the body, offering protection against bacteria, the most abundant living organisms that come into contact with this barrier. The epidermis is heavily colonized by commensal bacterial organisms that help protect against pathogenic bacteria. The highly regulated and dynamic interaction between the epidermis and commensals involves the host’s production of nutritional factors promoting bacterial growth together to chemical and immunological bacterial inhibitors. Signal trafficking ensures the system’s homeostasis; conditions that favor colonization by pathogens frequently foster commensal growth, thereby increasing the bacterial population size and inducing the skin’s antibacterial response, eliminating the pathogens and re-establishing the normal density of commensals. The microecological conditions of the epidermis favors Gram-positive organisms and are unsuitable for long-term Gram-negative colonization. However, the epidermis acts as the most important host-to-host transmission platform for bacteria, including those that colonize human mucous membranes. Bacteria are frequently shared by relatives, partners, and coworkers. The epidermal bacterial transmission platform of healthcare workers and visitors can contaminate hospitalized patients, eventually contributing to cross-infections. Epidermal transmission occurs mostly via the hands and particularly through fingers. The three-dimensional physical structure of the epidermis, particularly the fingertips, which have frictional ridges, multiplies the possibilities for bacterial adhesion and release. Research into the biology of bacterial transmission via the hands is still in its infancy; however, tribology, the science of interacting surfaces in relative motion, including friction, wear and lubrication, will certainly be an important part of it. Experiments on finger-to-finger transmission of microorganisms have shown significant interindividual differences in the ability to transmit microorganisms, presumably due to genetics, age, sex, and the gland density, which determines the physical, chemical, adhesive, nutritional, and immunological status of the epidermal surface. These studies are needed to optimize interventions and strategies for preventing the hand transmission of microorganisms.

Introduction. Recycling technologies may solve the problem of landfill waste. The problem of hydraulic active cement waste using not fully resolved in concrete mixtures recycling technologies. Using hydraulic active cement waste as an addition directly influences the technological and mechanical characteristics of new concrete mixtures. That requires additional research. Materials and methods. The cement waste obtained after recycling was simulated by pre-hydrated cement suspension produce at V/C equal to 0.7 for 6 hours of hydration. Different compositions of cement mixtures were investigated. The difference of which was amount of introduced pre-hydrated cement additive, both in the presence and without plasticizer. Technological properties, namely the normal consistency and setting time of cement compositions were investigated by standard methods of GOST 30744-2001. Mechanical properties, namely the compressive strength at the age of 28 days, were determined by destructive method on a hydraulic press PSU-10. Results. The introduction of a pre-hydrated suspension causes an increase in normal consistency, a reduction in the setting time and a decrease in strength with an increase in its quantity. The use of such a suspension in conjunction with a superplasticizer can level out the increase in normal density, as well as increase the strength of the samples. Timing of setting remained similar to the results of the test without the plasticizer. Conclusions. The results of the study show influences of cement waste obtained after recycling on the technological and mechanical characteristics of new mixtures. These influences are important and must be taken into account in the design of new concretes and mortars.

Trisomy 21, the cause of Down syndrome, causes a 0.5-fold protein increase of the chromosome 21-resident gene Pericentrin (PCNT) and reduces primary cilia formation and signaling. Here we investigate the mechanisms by which PCNT imbalances disrupt cilia. Using isogenic RPE-1 cells with increased chromosome 21 dosage, we find PCNT protein accumulates around the centrosome as a pericentrosomal cluster of enlarged cytoplasmic puncta that localize along and at MT ends. Cytoplasmic PCNT puncta impact the intracellular MT trafficking network required for primary cilia, as the PCNT puncta sequester cargo peripheral to centrosomes in what we call pericentrosomal crowding. The centriolar satellite proteins, PCM1, CEP131 and CEP290, important for ciliogenesis, accumulate at sites of enlarged PCNT puncta in trisomy 21 cells. Reducing PCNT when chromosome 21 ploidy is elevated is sufficient to decrease PCNT puncta, reestablish a normal density of MTs around the centrosome, restore ciliogenesis to wild type levels and decrease pericentrosomal crowding. A transient reduction in MTs also decreases pericentrosomal crowding and partially rescues ciliogenesis in trisomy 21 cells, indicating that increased PCNT leads to defects in the microtubule network deleterious to normal centriolar satellite distribution. We propose that chromosome 21 aneuploidy disrupts MT-dependent intracellular trafficking required for primary cilia.
