Abstract The focus program of the Ministry of Agriculture in 2019-2020 is the strategic command for agricultural development (KOSTRATANI), stated in the Minister of Agriculture No./Kpts/OT.050/I/02/2020. The expectations and targets to be achieved from BPP as KOSTRATANI are (1) data and information; (2) the agricultural development; (3) learning; (4) agribusiness consulting; and (5) partnership networks. To meet the expectation, research to know the capacity of BPP should be done. This paper presents information on the capacity of BPP (human resources, infrastructure and management). The research was conducted in Central Java Province, focused on BPP in Grobogan District, especially BPP in Pulokulon and Tegowanu Subdistrict. The research was done through a survey during March 2021, the data and information were collected based on group discussion and individual interview with total respondents of 31, then analyzed descriptively. Found that the human resources capacity at province level were only supported by 16% of extension officer. At subdistrict level, an extension officer responsible for 3-4 villages while at Tegowanu 4-5 villages. The infrastructure of Pulokulon was worse than Tegalwanu and Both BPP have some program out side the main responsibility as BPP. Concluded that KOSTRATANI should not be implemented in all BPPs simultaneously. The Ministry of Agriculture would decide which certain BPP is considered the appropriate mode for implementing KOSTRATANI. Therefore, suggested that further research on the capacity of more BPP with more samples with special characteristics such as agroecosystem and main commodity should be conducted.

This article aims to contribute to the social science discussion on urban policies and the integration (or exclusion) of the perspectives of marginalized groups by asking the question: If there were to be exhaustive urban planning relating to drug issues, what role should drug users play in the planning process? Our answer involves the use of a set of two complementary qualitative cartographic methods which allow us to focus on the inclusion of the voices of marginalized groups. This article is based on methodological experimentation in different French and German cities without aiming at a comparison. The article exposes and discusses firstly an individual interview method called ‘Emotional Mapping’, and secondly a participatory mapping workshop called ‘Ideal City Mapping’. The output of this project has been a web of visual and textual documents, in the form of reports, papers, articles and events such as a travelling exhibition, with the aim of engaging in public discussions with various key players.

This study interviewed retired professional rugby union players (≤10 years since retirement) to discuss their careers in the game of rugby union. The primary aim of the study was to document their understanding of concussion knowledge and the analogies they use to describe concussion. In addition, these interviews were used to determine any explicit and implicit pressures of playing professional rugby as described by ex-professional rugby players. Overall, 23 retired professional rugby players were interviewed. The participants had played the game of rugby union (n = 23) at elite professional standard. A semi-structured individual interview design was conducted with participants between June to August 2020. The research team reviewed the transcripts to identify the major themes from the interviews using a reflexive thematic analysis approach. Four major themes were identified: (1) medical and theoretical understanding of concussion, (2) descriptions of concussion and disassociated language, (3) personal concussion experience, and (4) peer influences on concussion within the sport. These were further divided into categories and subcategories. The interviews highlighted that players did not fully understand the ramifications of concussive injury and other injury risk, as it became normalised as part of their sport. This normalisation was supported by trivialising the seriousness of concussions and using dismissive language amongst themselves as players, or with coaching staff. As many of these ex-professional players are currently coaching rugby (48%), these interviews could assist coaches in treating concussion as a significant injury and not downplaying the seriousness of concussion in contact sports.

Gender identity is a personal experience of own gender. It can be related to the sex assigned at birth or it may be completely different. Analysis presents the case of a 30-year-old transsexual man. The research was carried out at the end of 2019 using an interview questionnaire and a diagnostic survey with the form of an open, categorized, individual interview technique. The research problem was the question of the relationship between gender identity and social life, and to what extent transsexual persons come into contact with discrimination in social life. Examples and significance of the transsexual man’s experiences in a social context are presented: safety and relationships, difficulties in the school environment (including preparing teachers to contact a transsexual student), health care, professional work. It has been shown that the man does not experience all these forms of the discrimination described in the literature in the context of transsexual people, except for misunderstandings and lack of knowledge in the environment.

Objective: The purpose of this qualitative study was to identify perceptions and barriers to physical activity in childhood and adulthood among Latina adults. Methods: We conducted 3 focus groups, 2 dyadic interviews, and an individual interview using semi-structured interview guides with 23 Latina women aged 21-35. A thematic analysis approach employing inductive and deductive coding was utilized to code, categorize, and summarize data into themes. Results: The themes that emerged focused on: (1) physical activity is enjoyable; (2) family influenced physical activity; (3) different lifestyle in the US influenced physical activity; (4) physical activity is important for health; and (5) responsibilities (eg, work, caregiving) as barriers to physical activity in adulthood. Conclusions: Perceptions and barriers to physical activity experienced in both childhood and adulthood should be considered in the promotion of physical activity among Latinas.

Objective. To describe the discourse of men about participation in prenatal care and childbirth/birth of their children from the contributions made by nurses. Methods. This is an exploratory study, with a qualitative approach, carried out in the wards of a public hospital/maternity hospital in a city in the Northeast, Brazil. Fifty men participated in the study. Data collection with an individual interview, guided by semi-structured script. The data were recorded, transcribed in full, systematized, categorized, and organized by the Collective Subject Discourse method analyzed under the framework of Gender and Masculinities. Result. It was evident in the collective discourse of men that how fatherhood is understood is in transformation, and that the father's participation in the pregnancy and parturition context is under construction. The study showed the change in behavior of men, as well as the expression of new models of masculinities, about the exercise of assisted parenthood motivated by nurses. Conclusion. Nurses' contributions represented necessary elements for greater adherence and male involvement and revealed a possibility to re-signify male identity from the reconstruction of the idea of fatherhood, in the context of pregnancy and parturition.

AimsHigh intensity interval training (HIIT) may improve a range of physical and mental health outcomes among people with severe mental illnesses (SMI). However, there is limited data on patients’ reported attitudes towards HIIT and its implementation within inpatient settings, and there remains an absence of data on attitudes towards HIIT from informal family carers of service users and healthcare professionals, who both have key roles to play in facilitating recovery outcomes in service users. This study sought to qualitatively investigate, in inpatients with SMI, carer and staff groups, perspectives on implementing HIIT interventions for patient groups in inpatient settings.MethodSeven focus groups and one individual interview were conducted. These included three focus groups held with inpatients with SMI (n = 12), two held with informal carers (n = 15), and two held with healthcare professionals working in inpatient settings (n = 11). An additional individual interview was conducted with one patient participant. The focus group schedule comprised open- ended questions designed to generate discussion and elicit opinions surrounding the introduction of HIIT on inpatient mental health wards. Data were subject to a thematic analysis.ResultTwo key themes emerged from the data, across all participants, that reflected the ‘Positivity’ in the application of HIIT interventions in psychiatric inpatient settings with beliefs that it would help patients feel more relaxed, build their fitness, and provide a break from the monotony of ward environment. Moreover, the short length of HIIT sessions was deemed appealing to mitigate against difficulties that many inpatients can experience with motivation, interest and attention, and was considered to be more appealing than more lengthy forms of exercise, which may require greater physical exertion. The second theme related to ‘Implementation concerns’, that reflected subthemes about i) low patient motivation, particularly with older participants, those administered many medications, and for those with less positive memories of exercise ii) patient safety, including concerns surrounding the intensity of HIIT and inclusion of patients with physical health comorbidities and iii) practical logistical factors, including having access to the right sports clothing and staff availability to supervise HIIT.ConclusionHIIT for inpatients with SMI was actively endorsed by patients, carers and healthcare professionals. Patient safety and baseline motivation levels, and practical service considerations were all noted as potential barriers to successful implementation and are worth considering in preparation for trialing a new intervention.

Social commerce has become more popular compared to e-commerce. This is caused by the transition development of the business transaction website. It has shifted from the e-commerce website towards the social commerce website.  The e-commerce website has its standard features. However, there are few features in the market for the social commerce website. This research focuses on investigating the essential functions of social commerce that should be embedded into the social commerce website. The process of identifying social commerce features is done through literature reviewand summarized the features. The summarized characteristics than are analyzed and discussed with three expert reviewers to conform to the relevant social commerce features. At this phase, it involves several steps where the discussion started with an individual interview. The outcome then is consolidated into a table. The reviewed then be emailed to expert reviewers to get their feedback. The agreement from all of them then be gathered and summarized in a new set of features. The outcome of thisstudy will be useful for the development of a design template for a social commerce website.

AbstractThis qualitative study explores the meanings of frailty held by Chinese New Zealanders and Chinese health care professionals with the aim of identifying commonalities as well as potential differences. Two guided focus groups with Mandarin and Cantonese speaking older adults (n = 10), one individual interview with a English speaking older Chinese, and one focus group with Chinese New Zealand health care professionals (n = 7) were held to obtain views on frailty in older adults, followed by transcribing and a thematic qualitative analysis. Three main themes emerged: (1) Frailty is marked by ill-health, multiple chronic and unstable medical comorbidities, and is a linked with polypharmacy; (2) Frailty can involve physical weakness, decline in physical function such as reduced mobility or poor balance, and declining cognitive function; and (3) Frailty is associated with psychological and social health including depression, reduced motivation, social isolation, and loss of confidence. The perspectives of frailty that emerged are congruent with a multi-dimensional concept of frailty that has been described in both Chinese and non-Chinese medical research literature.
