India is a developing country and lacks many things including Podiatry as subspecialty of Diabetes. There are no Podiatry Collegesnor provision for regular training of young physicians in podiatry. Missing job opportunity, kills interest of physicians in Podiatry. Most physicians have acquired some degree of skill by self-reading or doing observer ship abroad and by attending a few International conferences on Podiatry.

The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in the temporary suspension of the training centering system which has resulted in complex decisions relating to the continuation of training activities in accordance with existing circumstances. This paper aims to provide education and guidance in the implementation of regular exercise programs that must be realized as a solution to minimize the occurrence of COVID-19 transmission in the regular training process as well as provide understanding to the main sports branch management, coaches and athletes in carrying out regular training programs. This study uses a literature review method where the researcher conducts a series of studies by reviewing and analyzing various content and data, which involves various kinds of information related to the implementation of the training centering system in the new normal era. There are 4 key principles in the re-implementation of the training process on a regular basis or training camps, including preparation for resumption of training, criteria for training commencement, assessments and guidelines that serve as a reference for the implementation of training camps, as well as management and strategies for mitigating COVID-19 risks at training camps.

Covid-19 has an impact on the education sector so that it experiences a distance learning process. The purpose of this study was to find out how to use distance learning media, with a research locus in Karya Mulya 1 Elementary School Cirebon City. This study uses distance learning theory by Keegan (2011). Sources of data obtained from documentation, observation, direct interviews or by telephone with 24 informants. The results of the study found that Karya Mulya 1 Elementary School in the use of distance learning media had obstacles experienced by teachers and students. The Cirebon City Education Office made a Learning From Home policy which was carried out through offline (using RCTV media) and online (using Whatsapp Group applications) approaches simultaneously. The suggestions given include: evaluating the policy of the home learning program through RCTV, holding regular training workshops on technology for SD Karya Mulya 1 teachers, Cirebon City Government collaborating with providers to provide learning quota assistance, and providing information on learning tool assistance long distance to parents of students.

Groin injuries are one of the most prevalent in male soccer players, especially due to the hip adductor muscles’ weakness which is considered as a risk factor in these injuries. The Copenhagen adduction (CA) exercise has been demonstrated to increase the strength of adductor muscles, but its effects on the architectural characteristics of adductor muscles have not been studied yet. This study aimed to analyze the effects of the CA exercise on the muscle thickness of the adductors. Twelve male U-17 soccer players were randomized into two groups: the control group with no intervention and the experimental group with an intervention based on an eight-week training with CA exercise. The muscle thickness of adductors was measured before and after the intervention using ultrasound imaging. A significant increase in muscle thickness was found in both control (p = 0.002) and experimental group (p < 0.001), but the experimental group did not show additional effects in comparison with the control group. In conclusion, an 8-week CA exercise intervention does not increase the muscle thickness of adductors in U-17 soccer players more than their regular training.

The aim of the research is to prepare skill with restrictive rubber bands for football players of 15 years of age. As well as learning about the effect of these exercises on improving the skills of rolling and controlling football for players aged 5 years. The research sample was conducted by the players of the National Center for the Care of Sports Talent in Football. They were divided into two equal experimental groups, one of which is subject to special training and the other is left for regular training. (8) Weeks, two training units per week, and after that the post-tests were conducted, and the researchers reached skill training with tied ligaments that positively affected the development of the ball control skill and the ball rolling skill. Also, the use of exercises developed by the researcher and developed in a manner consistent with the capabilities of the players and their ages.

Quality is a key to be able to compete in the industrial world [16. Quality control is needed to reduce the number of defective products produced by the company, thus reducing losses experienced by the company. The Bima Mandiri Rembang Pasuruan cigarette company is a company that produces cigarettes, one of which is INNO cigarettes. The number of defective products produced by the company so that the company must make an increase in quality by using a method to reduce the number of defects that occur.  The number of defective products causes the company to suffer losses. For that, we need a method that can reduce cigarette defective products which in turn can improve the quality of the company's production[12]. Six Sigma with the DMAIC stage (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) is a method used in this research. Based on these steps, defects that often occur are less dense cigarettes as many as 289 sticks with a percentage of 25%, tearing on the cigarettes as many as 227 cigarettes with a percentage of 20% and peeling cigarettes as many as 208 sticks with a percentage of 18%. Factors that cause defects include humans, machines, methods and materials. After calculating using the Six Sigma method, before the improvement, the DPMO value is 113988.1 and the Sigma Level value is 2.722. After the improvements were made, the DPMO value decreased to 76488.1 and the Sigma Level was 2.94715. To achieve the six sigma target, the company is expected to be able to carry out improvements with a focus on the factors that cause product defects and always carry out regular control to reduce product defects. The corrective steps taken in the Bima Mandiri Rembang Pasuruan Regency cigarette company are human: regular training for machine operators and employees; methods: inspection of raw materials, blending machines and glue residue in the teat; engine: inspection of engine components; material: reprocessing less refined raw materials and using better quality glue.

This study aimed to verify the influence of applying the Pendular Model of Tactical-Technical Training (Pendular Model) on decision-making and tactical-technical performance of U18 male volleyball athletes. A total of 44 U18 volleyball athletes participated in the study, divided into two groups: experimental group ( n = 23) and control group ( n = 21). The Declarative Tactical Knowledge Test in Volleyball was used for the decision-making analysis, while the Instrument for Technical-Tactical Performance Assessment in Volleyball was used for the specific tactical-technical performance components level analysis in the game. Experimental group athletes performed 24 training sessions using the Pendular Model, and control group athletes maintained 24 sessions of regular training. There was a significant difference in decision-making in the extremity attack and setting situations, being better in the experimental group than the control group in the pre and postintervention moments. There were significant differences in the adjustment, decision-making, and effectiveness components in athletes’ tactical-technical performance in game situations, being greater in the experimental group compared to the control group in the moments after 12 sessions and postintervention. It is concluded that the Pendular Model proved to be effective for improving decision-making in extremity attack and setting video situations and in the tactical-technical performance in the game in the adjustment, decision-making, and effectiveness components for male U18 volleyball athletes.

This study investigated the effect of 4 weeks of high-intensity interval training (HIIT) with specific techniques (TS-G) vs. repeated sprints (RS-G) and analyzed the inter-individual variability [classified into responders (Rs) and non-responders (NRs)] on sport-related fitness in taekwondo (TKD) athletes. Athletes of both genders (n = 12) were randomly assigned into TS-G and RS-G groups. Both groups trained 3 days/week for 4 weeks [two blocks of three rounds of 2 min of activity (4-s of all-out efforts with 28-s dynamical pauses) with 1 min of recovery in between and 5 min between blocks] during their regular training. The related sport fitness assessments included squat jump (SJ), countermovement jump (CMJ), multiple frequency speed of kick test (FSKTMULT), specifically total kicks and Kick Decrement Index (KDI), and 20-m shuttle run (20MSR). Relevant results indicate a significant effect of the time factor in both groups for SJ performance and a significant decrease for KDI in RS-G. In addition, an improvement in performance according to the effect size analysis in the TS-G in total kicks, KDI, and 20MSR. Complementarily, a higher proportion of athlete Rs was reported in TS-G vs. RS-G for SJ (50% vs. 30.3%, respectively), CMJ, and total kicks (16.6% vs. 0%). In conclusion, the addition to the regular training of a HIIT with specific-techniques and repeated-sprints associated with intervals and similar structure of the combat during 4 weeks of training can improve the concentric characteristics of lower limb performance, although they were not the sufficient stimuli in the other components of TKD-related fitness.

Abstract Background In this pandemic of COVID-19, the highest amount of infective material, biomedical waste is generated in hospitals and it is frequently handled by the healthcare workers irrespective of cadres. Hence the awareness of healthcare workers in regards with biomedical waste (BMW) management is crucial in this pandemic. This study is therefore conducted to assess the knowledge, attitude and practices in BMW management among health care workers in our institution. Results A total of 280 subjects consisting of doctors, nursing staff and group D workers were included in the study after obtaining informed consent. The knowledge among healthcare workers was satisfactory, but comparatively group D workers were lagging behind. Overall they all have a good attitude towards BMW management but practices on BMW management needs improvement mostly among group D workers. Conclusions There have to be regular training programmes on biomedical waste management and its hazards for all the healthcare workers including group D workers. Along with educational intervention, strict implementation of biomedical waste management guidelines with its monitoring at all levels is also very much essential.

Abstract This study was aimed to assess the neuroendocrine response to stress induced by different sports environments (a regular training session and a competitive event), to define the contribution of psychological and physical stress, and to check the possible relationship between state-anxiety and stress hormones responses to competitive and non-competitive sports practices. Twelve young national-level male swimmers participated in this investigation. Endorphins, adrenocorticotropin, and prolactin plasma levels were measured at baseline conditions (t0), before a regular swimming training session (t1), and before and after real swimming competition consisting of 100 m freestyle (t2 and t3, respectively). Moreover, state-anxiety was evaluated in all assessment time-points. The results showed no differences in endorphin, adrenocorticotropin, prolactin and state-anxiety between t0 and t1; however, significant increases in endorphins (142%), prolactin (137%) and state-anxiety (13%) were observed in t2. Huge stress response was observed in t3 (increases of 354%, 387%, and 250% for endorphins, adrenocorticotropin, and prolactin, respectively) although state-anxiety decreased slightly. Lastly, a lack of the relationship between stress hormones and state-anxiety was found in all conditions. Mental and especially physical stress associated with sports competition induces a significant release of stress hormones which is not relevant for the regular training session.
