Purpose This paper aims to review the latest management developments across the globe and pinpoint practical implications from cutting-edge research and case studies. Design/methodology/approach This briefing is prepared by an independent writer who adds their own impartial comments and places the articles in context. Findings This research paper concentrates on understanding the types of innovation that can boost the profit margins of manufacturing companies in Spain. Digital service innovation can be a welcome factor that meshes with product innovation and process innovation, to enhance profits within defined manufacturing sub-sectors – namely computer manufacturing and machinery manufacturing. These processes should be introduced and pursued simultaneously, as an essential condition for producing positive effects on profitability. In other sub-sectors, the digital service innovation isn't required, since this merely adds a neutral impact to the profit-driving effects of the effective duo of process innovation and product innovation. Originality/value The briefing saves busy executives, strategists and researchers’ hours of reading time by selecting only the very best, most pertinent information and presenting it in a condensed and easy-to-digest format.

This study was about fulfilling felicity conditions in speech acts in Winfrey's speech Learn from Every Mistake. This research analyzed each utterance spoken by Winfrey’s speech entitled Learn from Every Mistake. Each utterance is categorized based on five types of speech acts. The felicity of the utterance was analyzed based on Searle's felicity condition theory. This study was a qualitative case study. The research object was Winfrey’s speech entitled Learn from Every Mistake published on YouTube on 18th May 2019. The findings showed that all the utterances in five types of speech act fulfilled the felicity conditions. The consideration came when the utterances were in a joke which meant that the speaker did not sincerely utter the utterances. There was a note when utterances in a joke were felicitous if both the speaker and the hearers truly understood that the utterance was a joke. The last conclusion in felicity condition was in the essential speech act. Based on the analysis, all of the utterances in Winfrey's speech entitled Learn from Every Mistake were felicitous in essential condition. The research finding can be used as a reference in understanding felicity conditions in the speech act.

Nationally, Tunisia is not entrepreneurial. It shows a deficit in the creation of innovative businesses. At the regional level, the revitalization of disadvantaged regions facing a problem of underemployment, in particular of highly educated graduates, is justified by the revitalizing entrepreneurial behavior in these areas. This observation is also valid in the sports sector, where unemployment has reached 100% since 2011. Because of this system crisis, which has broken out in Tunisia, we propose in what follows to consider the aspects relating to regional deficiencies by gender, in terms of sports entrepreneurship. The objective of this study is to identify the outlines of a regional catching-up strategy, so that the creation of a ludo-sports project is a challenge that graduates of stapsistes should take up that graduates of stapsistes should take up, pertaining the spirit of equity between the two sexes. This equality is not only desired for an objective of social justice, but also as an essential condition for complementarity and healthy economic development. The results of this quantitative study with 300 unemployed stapsistes belonging to three regions of Tunisia (Kef, Grand Tunis and Gafsa), revealed a favorable entrepreneurial behaviour towards a very favorable entrepreneurial reaction towards the creation of project and a positive correlation between gender, territory and entrepreneurship factors. However, only the Gafsois group seems to be different from the other groups, as it shows a very strong correlation, explained in particular by the socio-cultural factors related to the region.

This article describes certain fragments of verbal-lexical and linguistic-cognitive levels of linguistic personality of the bilinguals with alexithymia. The goal lies in their determination, description, and comparison with the corresponding fragments of linguistic personality of the Russians with alexithymia for outlining the parameters that correlate or do not correlate with nationality and alexithymia status of the respondent. The research leans on the linguistic, quantitative and qualitative content analysis of autobiographical texts. The essential condition for including in the number of respondents was a pronounced alexithymia status (diagnosed in accordance with the Toronto Alexithymia Scale), affiliation to Altai or Yakut ethnic group, and command of the corresponding language (bilingualism). The following conclusions were made: certain cognitive and lexical-semantic parameters remain constant, while morphological and punctuation parameters among Altai and Yakut people cease to be the criterion of the pronounced alexithymia status of a person. The acquired results can be used as a complementary instrument for the diagnosis of alexithymia and its correction. The relevance of this research is substantiated by incidence of the phenomenon of alexithymia and the need for conducting comparative study of the texts of persons with alexithymia who belong to different ethnic groups, which allows determining the framework of such supplementary instrument of diagnosis as text analysis.

The European Green Deal has re-ignited the imperative of green finance that is called to support the European Union transition to a greener economy. Green finance becomes even more opportune in the context of the economic recovery after the COVID-19 pandemic. The aim of the paper is to explore green banking practices in the Romanian banking system. The investigation reveals the efforts of banks to be environmentally friendly and to be involved in financing of some green projects, such as the energy efficient projects. Nevertheless, the green banking products are still in the emerging stage and banks in Romania should develop their role in the field, by diversifying the range of green products and services, improving the expertise to assess green projects or intensifying the marketing initiatives to promote green products. In order to encourage banks in Romania to provide green financing several incentives should be conceived; similar to banks, the borrowers seeking green projects should be rewarded. Some mandatory requirements for banks to be involved in green investments may promote green banking in Romania. An essential condition to achieve the development of green banking in Romania is to increase awareness towards environmentally friendly behaviour at all levels.

Digital transformation is currently an essential condition for companies to operate in most markets, since it provides a whole new set of competitive skills and strategic tools. On the other hand, the same digitalization puts companies in the face of a whole new series of threats coming from the cyber space. The foundation of business sustainability, which is the maintenance of competitiveness while securing business, is no longer a “plus” feature or a captivating sentence but a true and consistent need for all organizations. This article provides a literature analysis on approaches and models for cyber resilience, digitalization capabilities, and a conceptual framework showing how digitalization capabilities drive cyber resilience. Digitalization capabilities are involved in the plan/prepare phase and in the adaptation phase of the cyber resilience process. In particular, online informational capabilities can drive both these phases. Other capabilities such as the employment of heterogeneous resources and the promotion of continuous learning drive the plan/prepare phase, while the scanning of the evolution of the digital environment and a timely reconfiguration of resources drive the adaptation phase.

Contact resonance atomic force microscopy, piezoresponse force microscopy, and electrochemical strain microscopy are atomic force microscopy modes in which the cantilever is held in contact with the sample at a constant average force while monitoring the cantilever motion under the influence of a small, superimposed vibrational signal. Though these modes depend on permanent contact, there is a lack of detailed analysis on how the cantilever motion evolves when this essential condition is violated. This is not an uncommon occurrence since higher operating amplitudes tend to yield better signal-to-noise ratio, so users may inadvertently reduce their experimental accuracy by inducing tip–sample detachment in an effort to improve their measurements. We shed light on this issue by deliberately pushing both our experimental equipment and numerical simulations to the point of tip–sample detachment to explore cantilever dynamics during a useful and observable threshold feature in the measured response. Numerical simulations of the analytical model allow for extended insight into cantilever dynamics such as full-length deflection and slope behavior, which can be challenging or unobtainable in a standard equipment configuration. With such tools, we are able to determine the cantilever motion during detachment and connect the qualitative and quantitative behavior to experimental features.

Introduction. Digital technologies are an essential condition for the development of modern health care. New forms of interaction between the supplier and the consumer of medical services determine the need to understand the attitude of the doctor and the patient to this employment operation. Purpose. Assess the change in the quality of communications between the doctor and the patient with the widespread introduction of electronic medical records. Material and methods. Within the framework of the project, a content analysis of media materials was held. Mass (questionnaire) survey of doctors and patients in November-December 2020 was executed. The comprehensive survey had 482 respondents, including 168 doctors and 314 patients. Results. Most (61.5%) of medical professionals indicate a decrease in time costs during the patient’s reception, an increase in time to work with patients is noted in 47.4% of respondents. 55% of doctors report that the service helps better focus on the provision of medical care, and 47.6% of respondents believe that the conduct of medical documentation in electronic form allows reducing the frequency of passing a significant pathology. Among patients, 52.2% believe that introducing electronic medical records will enable you to increase the time that the doctor pays to the patient during the reception. 68.9% of patients indicate an improvement in the interaction between doctors and patients. Conclusion. High-quality results can be achieved only if there is a medical staff with the skills of using modern digital technologies and new communication skills with a patient when using electronic medical records.
