The development of science and technology that continues to progress, especially in the health sector requires changes in terms of service so that in providing more professional services in hospitals, nursing care must be of high quality. Nursing Law Number 38 of 2014 Article 3B states that nursing arrangements aim to improve the quality of nursing services, therefore the provision of quality nursing services is important in today's health services. The model of professional nursing care is divided into several models, namely primary, team and case nursing. Based on the results of a survey of research journals, the researchers concluded that there was no research that compared the professional nursing care team model with primary nursing in improving the quality of nursing care. The purpose of this study was to identify the use of the professional nursing care team model with the primary nursing model in improving the quality of nursing care. This type of research is a quantitative research type with a comparative design. The population in this study were all patients at the Inpatient Hospital where the study was conducted. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling technique. Data collection on the quality of nursing care used a quality scale patient assessment instrument – the acute care version (PAQS-ACV). This instrument was developed to assess the quality of nursing care. Data analysis in this study used an independent t-test. normality test using the Kolmorogov-Smirnov test with a significance value (p > 0.05). The results showed that there was a significant difference between the quality of nursing care in the team group and the quality of nursing care in the primary nursing group where the value of sig (2-tailed) was 0.008 where > 0.05, the results also showed that based on the results of the frequency distribution test the quality of nursing care was using the team model and the primary nursing model has a high majority value of nursing care quality, but there is a difference in the average value (mean) where the quality of nursing care in the nursing care model group in the team method group is 144.86 and the quality of nursing care in the primary nursing model group is 155.83. These results indicate that the quality of nursing care with the primary nursing model has a higher quality of care value than the group nursing care model with the team method. Based on the results of this study, it is recommended that hospitals can apply a professional nursing practice model, especially the primary nursing model to further improve the quality of nursing care provided.

Background: Clinical decision-making is an essential element of every professional nursing career. A nurse's aptitude for clinical decision-making influences the quality of the healthcare they provide. This research aims to describe the clinical decision-making among nursing students at Universitas Indonesia.Design and Methods: This research employed a cross-sectional design by sampling 216 students across several types and level of students programs in the University. The samples were selected using a stratified random sampling technique and met the inclusion criteria. The instrument of this research was the 2014 Nursing Decision Making Instrument (NDMI-R2014).  The survey instrument was translated from English into Indonesian, and its validity and reliability were tested (α Cronbach value = 0.816).Results: The results of the univariate analysis revealed that students’ clinical decision-making abilities vary; 59.2% in the analysis category, 40.3% in the quasi-rational category, and 0.5% in the intuitive category. Conclusion: This research concludes that the clinical decision-making ability of bachelor and professional nursing students program is in the analysis category which indicate that students’ clinical decision-making abilities involve their explicit-theoretical knowledge and are supported by evidence-based practices. Therefore, their clinical decision-making can be logically defended, though it requires a longer duration of time to strengthen those abilities.  The students’ clinical decision-making must continuously be improved to enable them to create precise decisions based on various situations and clinical conditions.

The hospital is a health service organization that provides comprehensive health services that achieve promotive, preventive, curative and rehabilitative aspects for the community. The application of the Professional Nursing Practice Method (MPKP) can illustrate the efforts of various countries to improve the quality of nursing care and the working environment of nurses in hospitals. The purpose of this study was to determine the application of MPKP in hospitals. This research design uses a literature review, which is a series of studies relating to the method of collecting library data, or research whose research objects are explored through various library information (books, encyclopedias, scientific journals, newspapers, magazines, and documents) from several journals that have been researched by previous researchers who have been screened with inclusion and exclusion criteria using several databases namely google shoolar, lib UI, and SINTA which will be used as a literature review in this study. There are 155 journals according to keywords which are screened into 10 journals according to the theme and analyzed which examines the application of the Professional Nursing Practice Method (MPKP). The results showed that the implementation of MPKP was in the good category and was more dominant, namely 40% in the nursing care system. In the application of the maximum Professional Nursing Practice Method (MPKP) and good categories, nurses must make professional values, professional relationships, management approaches, nursing care systems, and reward compensation systems according to nursing standards by looking at performance and determining the appropriate MPKP model.

Abstract Background Health care professionals frequently interact with unknown patients in a process involving appearance-based judgements and priority-setting, all of which has an effect on health care equality. The healthcare provider–patient interaction is also highly relevant for the awareness and support of patients’ appearance concerns, with an associated possibility for improving patients’ satisfaction with their appearance and health. The aim was therefore to explore nursing staff’s experience of patients’ appearance issues in various nursing situations, with the purpose to facilitate awareness raising and knowledge development. Method A qualitative research approach with focus group interviews was chosen due to the exploratory aim of the study. Five semi-structured focus group interviews were conducted with 24 nursing staff in total (19 women and five men). The participants’ ages varied (20 to 45 years) as did their professional nursing experience. The interviews lasted approximately one hour, were digitally recorded, transcribed verbatim and analysed through thematic analysis. Results The thematic analysis resulted in the two themes Patient perspective and Professional nursing role, with associated subthemes. The findings showed the importance and impact of appearance issues in nursing situations and how these are linked to the health of the patients. Some groups of patients were identified as more vulnerable than others, which was associated with health care inequalities and health disparities. Value-based strategies along with knowledge, and skills for holistic person-centred care were identified as important resources for the development of appearance-related awareness and support in various nursing situations. Conclusion Strategies for improvement can be realised through the educational system for nursing staff, but mainly by using collective reflective learning forums in different workplaces. An empowerment approach is considered a useful framework for the implementation of holistic person-centred care, functioning as a resource for appearance-related awareness and support in various nursing situations. However, more research is needed on the complex and challenging phenomenon of appearance issues in nursing situations. Knowledge development related to successful person-centred strategies for appearance-related awareness and support is important, especially strategies with a salutogenic perspective.

Panti Rapih, Yogyakarta. Methods: This type of research is a descriptive correlation. This research is a quantitative study with a cross sectional design. Using non probability sample techniques, purposive sample. The sample used was 37 respondents. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire that is given directly to the respondent in Januari 2021 sampai Februari 2021. Results: The highest nurse caring behavior was in the good category, 83.8% of the total respondents. The highest level of satisfaction is "Satisfied" 54.1% of the total respondents and "Very Satisfied" as much as 43.2% of the total respondents. Based on the results of the Spearman rho test, P value 0.007 is, this means that there is a significant relationship between nurse caring behavior and the level of patient satisfaction. The Correlation Coefficient value is positive, which indicates that there is a strong relationship between nurse caring behavior and the level of patient satisfaction. Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between nurse caring behavior and patient satisfaction. The direction of the positive correlation shows that the higher the nurse's caring behavior, the higher the patient's satisfaction in nursing services. Suggestion: It is necessary for nurses to increase knowledge, attitudes and skills especially when carrying out their role as executor of professional nursing actions. The purpose of this manuscript is to invite a revisiting of the concept of the “discipline” of Nursing, with attention to the spiritual consciousness of “Nurse” within the sacred concept of self-caring and caring-healing consciousness. The notion of including the spiritual, evolving consciousness of “Nurse,” in harmony with evolution of Professional Nursing, is congruent with a mature disciplinary matrix of caring science as sacred science. This congruence between Nurse/Nursing contributes to the evolution of Nursing, Holistic Practices and Era III unitary transformative disciplinary thinking.
