This article is devoted to the problem of teaching terminological vocabulary of the English language for non-linguistic specialties. The main attention in the work is focused on the development of methodological foundations for the assimilation of terminological units of non-linguistic specialties. The possession of lexical skills necessary for professional communication in a foreign language is analyzed. The author emphasizes that the introduction of terminological vocabulary is an integral system of introductory exercises that systematize and consolidate new terminological information.

We look at the challenges of developing lexical skills when teaching a foreign language for business communication to future specialists in logistics facing fewer hours and growing amount of unsupervised work of students. We suggest revising the contents of the conventional stages of teaching vocabulary. We substantiate the advisability of using the didactic potential of the online service Quizlet for teaching professional terminology to students of non-linguistic universities.

The main tasks facing a modern foreign language teacher are to enrich the content of education and improve the educational process and to master new information technologies in a timely manner. The technologies of corpus linguistics considered in this article certainly belong to this technology.The article focuses on the use of corpus linguistics technology in the development of students' vocabulary.Also, the topic of corpus linguistics is touched upon:history of development, types and applications.As a result, it is determined that exercises for the development of students' lexical skills on the basis of the linguistic corpus are effective if the necessary conditions are met.

The article is devoted to the problems of forming and developing lexical skills by modern multimedia means of visualization in the ESL classroom. Modern technologies have been led to new possibilities to integrate multimedia tools and means of visualization in the ESL classroom. The aim of this paper is to analyze the current ESL coursebooks and coursebook supplements and give recommendations to teachers how to use the sufficient range of means of visualization effectively. As a part of research different types of questionnaires were handed to teachers and first-year students of Bachelor’s Program "Pedagogical Education (double major) and Second Foreign language " (5 years, full time) of Kazan State University. After this, a set of classes was organized for two groups of first-year students. The outcomes have been measured with qualitative and quantitative methods. The results show that the teachers do not use means of visualization and are not ready to make them the integral part of everyday lessons due to time management issues, lack of methodical ways of organization of educational process. Due to these results it can be resumed that using multimedia means of visualization as tools in the ESL classroom is highly beneficial for students and enhanced the learning process.

The purpose of the study is to substantiate the didactic potential of educational computer games in the development of lexical speech skills in high school students. We analyze the basic skills that are formed in the study of vocabulary. The basic lexical skills and their division into productive and receptive skills are considered. The analysis of the basic principles under which the process of learning foreign words takes place is carried out. The main advantages associated with learning vocabulary using computer games are considered. These include: encouraging creativity, the ability to create teamwork, easy adaptation for all ages and all language levels. The reasons for the growing popularity of games are analyzed in the context of training. These reasons include: in-terest that students have in class through games; beneficial effect on the educational process; the emergence of a need to create such a learning environment; the emergence of skills of independent work. Scientific novelty consists in the generalization of the experience of teaching vocabulary based on computer games. We also analyze the main advantages associated with teaching foreign language vocabulary to high school students using computer games and consider the reasons for the growth in popularity of games in the context of foreign languages teaching. As a result, a conclusion is made about the positive influence of computer games in foreign language teaching and improving the lexical skills of high school students.
