Abstract The organizational development assume the unconditional support of the leadership. Over time, the researchers have developed four major behavioural theories of leadership: the trait theory, behavioural theory of leadership, situational leadership theory and integrative leadership theory. These focus on the work of leaders, what they do, what they say and what they communicate across organizational boundaries. Over time, these theories have been adapted, developed and improved according to the main objectives of the organization and each leader. The researchers in the field were those who tried to find and identify the best style of leadership, regardless of the situation they might encounter in the course of their activities. Robert Blake and Jane Mouton are among those who built the management grid. They have published more than forty articles and books that describe their theory. This management network helps to think about a manager’s leadership style and its effects on the productivity and motivation of his team. The position of a leader can be anywhere in the network, depending on the relative importance gives to the people and to the results. On the one hand, this paper analyzes the organizational development from the perspective of management, and on the other hand, after presenting the necessary explanations related to the theoretical part of the grid exemplified above, a concrete example of this grid with application in a private organization will be presented. So, the study pursued the managerial grid application and analysis on a general manager in a certified vocational training entity (AS Financial Markets Sibiu), whose managerial style could be established after a test in which he answered at 20 questions.

PurposeThe purpose of this research is to highlight the impact of integrative leadership behaviors on network performance in local government networks.Design/methodology/approachThe data were retrieved from a survey conducted on 362 local government network leaders in Italy. Their leadership behaviors were compared with the level of network performance anonymously self-reported.FindingsThe findings show that high frequency in the usage of a specific category of behavior does not always lead to high performance in local government networks. Moreover, leadership behaviors leading to highly performing networks are not always engaged most frequently by networks' leaders.Originality/valueThis research gives an empirical contribution to a neglected topic: network leadership. Moreover, the authors attempt to highlight how it is able to influence network performance.

This study examines the leadership of the Kiai at the Hidayatul Insan Islamic Boarding School, Fii Ta'Limiddin, Palangka Raya City with the formulation of the nature of pesantren leadership and how to integrate Islamic boarding school culture and Dayak culture in the Hidayataul Insan Islamic Boarding School, Palangka Raya City. The research was conducted using a phenomenological approach through interviews, observation, and documentation techniques. Data analysis was carried out through three activity streams. The results showed that the leadership of the pesantren is a leadership phenomenon that tends to be autocracy in which the highest power and authority is in the hands of the Kiai. Integrative leadership as a cooperative and democratic leadership model can be an alternative model of leadership, especially in the context of cultural integration in Islamic boarding schools

This paper uses a qualitative study method, describing the association of Integrative Leadership and SelfConcept with Leadership Effectiveness. It attempts to explore the intersection of these concepts rooted in higher education Institutions at a deeper level. This can provide practitioners with clues on how to realistically apply the theory to everyday practice. Moreover, through integrative leadership and self-concept, this paper describes how leadership effectiveness can be ensured in a ways that can foster mutual action in order to achieve the common goal. This can be used to push back on the forces of individualism, neoliberalism, and “tyranny of the majority” that tend to undermine democracy and perpetuate inequality in the Institutions of higher education. While this paper suggests a more collective or communitarian view, the intent is not to reject individual and neoliberal values, but to create a more balanced approach for the status quo. This paper lays the foundation of a more comprehensive conceptualization of leading and self as both the fields include diversity of approaches and theories

ABSTRACT This article analyzes the relationship between the maximization of personal and company gains and the moderate traits of the Dark Triad. The relevance of choosing this topic lies in investigating the attitude of executives who exhibit characteristics of a moderate intensity between the strong and weak traits. It is proven that the vision and charisma of narcissistic individuals, the strategy and tactics of Machiavellian individuals, and the creativity and good strategic thinking of psychopathic individuals are differentiating characteristics that enhance successful and integrative leadership and that are far from the more accentuated and opportunistic attitudes related to the strong traits, whose practices involve dishonest actions for personal gain. This evidence creates the possibility for strengthening the research in the accounting area, especially on the behavioral approach, in order to promote its interface with psychology and clarify how personality, values, and experiences influence managers’ choices when conducting business and how workers and companies are impacted by these decisions. The study is empirical-theoretical and involves 263 managers, adopting a survey as its data collection strategy and applying a self-reporting type questionnaire. The data analysis approaches included descriptive statistics, correlations, tests of means, and logistic regressions. In this study, managers with moderate psychopathic traits showed a lower tendency to maximize profit by manipulating results. An opposite tendency was revealed for those with moderate Machiavellian traits. The combined effect of the three Dark Triad traits was significant and positive, revealing opportunistic profit maximization. These findings contribute to future studies that aim to systematically analyze moderate levels of the triad and corroborate the findings that have revealed the common characteristics of manipulation, callousness, and dishonesty when investigating the interactive effect between the traits in question.
