Currently, the whole world is facing a life-threatening novel coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. Natural products are well-known for their potential role against viral disease, and some anti-viral agents have been developed to combat these diseases. Herein, the authors investigated the possible effects of this Holy plant Nigella sativaL. (NS), against coronavirus, using evidence-based and mechanistic approaches to conclude the immune-boosting and alleviation of respiratory systemeffects of NS. The pharmacological studies established a prominent role in treating various respiratory, immune systems, cardiovascular, skin, and gastrointestinal disorders. Literature supported the significant anti-viral role and showed an inhibitory role for NS against MHV-A59 CoV (mouse-hepatitis virus–A59) infected Hela, i.e., HeLaCEACAM1a (HeLa-epithelial carcinoembryonic antigen-related cell adhesion molecule 1a) cell. NS is a safe herbal product or dietary supplement and could be an effective and affordable community adjuvant treatment for coronavirus in the current scenario.

Decreased adiponectin levels has been demonstrated in postmenopausal (PMP) women. Soy isoflavones, as an herbal product have been shown to increase adiponectin level but the results are inconclusive and inconsistent. The present study reassessed the data on the impact of soy isoflavones supplementation on adiponectin levels in PMP women through a meta-analysis. A systematic search was performed in the databases of PubMed, Web of science, Scopus and the Cochrane library. The literature search identified 830 studies with duplicates. Out of those, 80 were screened for title and abstract and 12 articles were ultimately selected for the analysis. Meta-regression and subgroup analyses, based on the moderator variables such as treatment duration, dose of soy isoflavones and BMI were performed. The quality of the studies was evaluated using the Grading of Recommendation Assessment, Development and Evaluation (GRADE) approach. The results revealed that soy isoflavones supplementation significantly increased the circulating level of adiponectin in PMP women (SMD: 0.36 µg/mL; 95% CI (0.05 to 0.66); P= 0.02). No publication bias was observed using Begg's (P = 0.38) and Egger's (P = 0.07) tests. Sensitivity analysis indicated the results were completely powerful and stable. Moreover, Meta-regression and subgroup analyses indicated a significant increase of adiponectin levels in subgroups of dose > 50 mg and treatment duration less or equal 3 months. Our findings showed significantly increase in adiponectin levels after isoflavones-supplemented soy consumption in postmenopausal women, who received dose > 50 mg of soy isoflavones in treatment duration ≤ 3 months.

The treatment of hair and scalp involved the use of shampoo for an effective, gentle cleansing, the shampoo is condidered not only as a cosmetic product having purifying purpose, but it is also responsible for maintaining the health and beauty of hair, imparting gloss and improving manageability. Shampoos is hair care product which is used to remove grease, dirt, dandruff and promote hair growth, strengths a hair. It also make hair smooth,soft and lustrous.Various contents are use in shampoo,some shampoos content drug also when medicated shampoos is to be prepare.In Shampoos various natural or herbal product are also used such as aloevera,neem,jasmine etc. This review largely focus on the description of shampoo

The whole worldwide, now a days use many herbal product for healthy and happy life. In ancient system there are Ayurveda Siddha, Unani and Homoeopathy systems of medicines includes various different herbs, crude drugs, medicinal plants. Many ayurvedic herbs are known for its important medicinal property. Medicinal plants are mostly used for wide range of constituent present in it. In Ayurveda system of medicine, antimicrobial herbs find to be used in many ayurvedic preparations. Various antimicrobial herbs have been used against different microbial infection like bacteria, virus, fungi protozoa, helminths etc. and many more different infectious agent of different diseases. The active chemical constituents present in herbs or crude drug or medicinal plants inhibits the growth of microorganisms. The present attempt has been made to review studied various antimicrobial herbs.

Acute toxicity study describes the adverse effects of a substance that result either from a single exposure or from multiple exposures in a short period of time. Whenever an investigator administered a chemical substance or herbal drug to a biological system different types of interactions can occur and a series of dose-related responses result. In most cases these responses are desired and useful, but there are a number of other effects which are not advantageous. These may or may not be harmful to the patient. Acute toxicity study is involved in estimation of LD50. Also it determines the therapeutic index i.e ratio between the lethal dose and the pharmacologically effective dose in the same strain and species. Spices have been widely developed for herbal products because people believe that the product is safe without any side effects that are harmful to the health of the body. Herbal products are made from natural ingredients of plants or plants without a mixture of chemicals. One of the herbal product businesses in Palembang is SME Hippocrates Medika. SME Hippocrates Medika was established in 2019 as a komanditer snuffoying business. Freedia is the flagship product of this SME which is downstream from the innovation products of Rachmat Hidayat and the team. Freedia is an herb that is processed as a brew drink to overcome diabetes mellitus disorder. In an effort to improve the quality of Freedia products, efforts are made to carry out a capsulation process for the extract so that the discomfort of freedia extract can be minimized to the maximum. The application of capsulation technology greatly helps improve the quality of freedia herbal products. Where consumers feel very comfortable in the consumption of freedia herbs because there is no need to bother boiling herbs and do not need to feel bitter when consuming herbs.

HAD-B1 is a Korean herbal formula designed to treat solid tumors, and through cell experiments, it has proven to have an anticancer effect. The current study aims to test the safety of HAD-B1. This experiment is under the regulation of ICH. In order to find if HAD-B1 has any effect on the CNS, 0, 500, 1000, and 2000 mg/kg/day of HAD-B1 were orally administered to male and female rats once. To discover any effect on the respiratory system, 0, 500, 1000, and 2000 mg/kg/day of HAD-B1 were orally given to male rats followed by measuring the respiratory rate, tidal volume, and minute respiratory volume. To assess the possibility of a delayed QT period as a result of the drug administration, hERG analysis was conducted at 0, 0.1, 0.3, and 1 μg/ml. To assess any effect on the cardiovascular system, 0, 500, 1000, and 2000 mg/kg/day of HAD-B1 were orally given to male beagle dogs once followed by temperature, blood pressure, ECG, and heart rate analyses. There were no clinically significant changes in both male and female rats on assessing any effects on the CNS. There were no clinically significant changes in male rats’ respiratory assessment. There were no clinically significant changes in hERG analysis results. There were no clinically significant changes in the cardiovascular system of male beagle dogs. Our results demonstrate that HAD-B1 is a safe herbal formula that does not have a clinically significant effect on the CNS, respiratory, and cardiovascular systems.
