India is known for its traditional medicinal system – Ayurveda, Siddha and Unani. There are several references in our ancient literature about the miraculous curing properties of the plant-based drugs. “Rig Veda and Atharva veda” seems to be the earliest record of use of plant in the medicine. A stomach ulcer involves an erosion in a person’s gastrointestinal tract. ‘Peptic’ is derived from Greek word “Peptikos” who’s meaning is related to digestion. Peptic ulcer occurs in the part of the gastrointestinal track which is exposed to gastric acid and pepsin (i.e) the stomach and duodenum. The extract of Tephrosia purpurea flowers against viruses and is very good antibacterial against Gram +ve and Gram -ve strain. The Plant extract was prepared and the phytochemical analysis was performed. The extract was administered with animals. The drug were administered orally once daily for 2 days and 45 min prior to pyloric ligation. The animals are sacrificed after four hours of pylorus ligation. The result indicates that, Flavonoids and Tannins have shown to be present in the TPAL treated groups. Since flavanoids antagonize aggressive factor which play a decisive role in the pathogenesis of gastric lesion and also enhance defence factor to protect the gastric mucosa from injury. Flavanoids diminish histamine secretion from mast cell by inhibition of histidine decarboxylase and stimulate PG biosynthesis. So the antiulcer activity of TPAL may be attributed to its flavonoid content. The study concluded that TPAL has an anti ulcer activity which may be due to protection and the strengthening of the mucosal defensive factor like mucus, bicarbonate, prostaglandin.

Hugonia mystax L., (Linaceae), is commonly distributed in the thorny scrubs and tropical dry evergreen forests of Tamil Nadu, which has been valued for centuries in traditional system of medicine for the treatment of various ailments. In the present study was an attempt to investigate the phytochemical nature and anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial potential by adopting suitable methods. Phytochemical analysis of Hugonia mystax L., plant extracts revealed the presence of various biochemical compounds such as alkaloids, flavonoids, glycosides, triterpenoids and saponins etc. Since triterpenoids and flavonoids have remarkable anti-inflammatory activity, so our present work aims at evaluating in vitro anti inflammatory activity of Hugonia mystax L., by HRBC membrane stabilization method. The inhibition of hypotonicity induced HRBC membrane lysis was taken as a measure of the anti-inflammatory activity. The percentage of membrane stabilization for ethanolic extracts and Diclofenac sodium were done at different concentrations. The maximum membrane stabilization of Hugonia mystax L., extracts was found to be 94.97 % at a dose of 2000 μg/ml. Therefore, our studies support the isolation and the use of active constituents from Hugonia mystax L., in treating inflammations.

Nature always stands as a golden mark to exemplify the outstanding phenomena of symbiosis. Natural products from plant, animal and minerals have been the basis of the treatment of human disease. About 500 plants with medicinal use are mentioned in ancient literature and around 800 plants have been used in indigenous systems of medicine. India is a vast repository of medicinal plants that are used in traditional medical treatments. Capsicum frutescens. belonging to the family of Solanaceae is an extremely valuable medicinal herb, distributed throughout India. in traditional medicine, due to presence of phytochemicals it has been used for the treatment of cough, toothache, sore throat, parasitic infections, rheumatism, wound healing etc. Other effects such as antibacterial and anticancer are also their properties. In this article, its phytochemical screening, pharmacognostic studies, pharmacological activity screening will be reviewed out.

Ondansetron is an anti-emetic drug which is insoluble in water. The present study was aimed to formulate and evaluate oral fast dissolving tablet of Ondansetron by Utilizing Liquisolid Compact Technique. The tablets were prepared by direct compression method and characterized by UV, FTIR studies. Six formulations (F1-F6) of ondansetron were prepared and tablets were evaluated for weight variations, hardness, thickness, friability, disintegration time, drug content and In-vitro dissolution studies gave satisfactory result. TF6 was found to be the best and acceptable formulation whose drug content was about 99.17±0.05 and percentage (%) drug release 97.49±2.03 in 10 min, high as compare to other formulation and has low disintegration time 17±0.01 as compare to other formulation which indicates that drug is rapidly dissolved and available at the site of action.

Many ayurvedic herbs are known for its important medicinal property. Medicinal plants are mostly used for wide range of constituent present in it. In Ayurveda system of medicine, antimicrobial herbs find to be used in many ayurvedic preparations. Various antimicrobial herbs have been used against different microbial infection like bacteria, virus, fungi protozoa, helminths etc. and many more different infectious agent of different diseases. The active chemical constituents present in herbs or crude drug or medicinal plants inhibits the growth of microorganisms. The present attempt has been made to review studied various antimicrobial herbs.

A disorder in which endometrial tissues develop outer side the uterus or uterine cavity is called as endometriosis. It affects mainly females in their reproductive years, and is an oestrogen-dependent condition. Endometriosis a gynaecological disease or disorders, occurs in about 10% of female in reproductive age and in upto 50% of females with in-fertility. It is serious type of Hormonal disease or disorders in female which is caused due to hormonal imbalance these diseases totally change the quality of womens life. Decreased quality of life is the most significant predictor of direct health care and total costs so avoid this next step greater way to take care “Prevention is always better than cure”. Curcumin is a natural polyphenolic compound extracted from the spice, turmeric and has been reported to evidence anti-inflammatory (agent which reduce inflammation), antioxidant (the agent which reduce oxidation), and anti-proliferative properties via the modulation of multiple cellular. However, it remains to be determined whether effect of curcumin affects in the management of process of endometriosis. Turmeric contain especially its most active compound Curcumin have many scientifically proven health benefits, it’s a potent Anti-inflammatory and antioxidant and may also help improve symptoms of endometrosis.

Carica papaya has been used for centuries in many non-Western medical practices (e.g., Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese and Vietnamese, Unani) for its homeostatic and health-promoting properties. Anecdotal reports have recently surfaced indicating the daily consumption of tea extract made from C. papaya has been related to cancer remission, including remission from certain advanced solid tumor cancers. As a result, we set out to investigate C. papaya leaf extract's in vitro effects on human cancer cells as well as its in vivo effects in cancer patients using scientific methodologies.The phytochemical composition of C. papaya leaf extract was determined using liquid chromatography-mass spectroscopy (LC-MS), immune-modulatory and anti-cancer properties were analyzed in peripheral blood mononuclear cells and various solid tumor cell lines, and clinical laboratory measurements were examined in 116 cancer patients who obtained capsules of C. papaya leaf extract.Our findings suggest that C. papaya has a lot of promise as an adjuvant therapy for certain cancers, and further research is required. In cultured cancer cells, papaya extract tends to be toxic, meaning that it may be used as a drug. For the first time, scientists discovered that papaya leaf extract increases the development of Th1-type cytokines, which are important signaling molecules. In addition to papaya's direct anti-tumor effect on a variety of cancers, this immune system control indicates potential cancer-fighting therapeutic strategies. Th1-type cytokines are important signaling molecules that are increased by papaya leaf extract. Researchers subjected 10 different types of cancer cell cultures to four strengths of papaya leaf extract and assessed the effect after 24 hours, preventing a typical and destructive outcome of many cancer therapy regimens. In every society, papaya inhibited tumor growth.

This work was performed to study the ethnobotany and phytopharmacological properties of M. ferrea L. It is widely distributed in the tropical areas of the world, especially in the Asian countries and is traditionally used by the local peoples for curing diseases ranging from head ache to cancer. Mesua ferrea is cultivated as an ornamental plant and young leaves are reddish yellow in color while mature leaves are blue grey to dark green in appearance with fragrant white flowers. This study reveals that almost all part of the plant have high medicinal property against different ailments. M. ferrea Linn being used for its anticancer, antineoplastic, disinfectant, anti oxidant, hepato-protective, anti arthritic, diuretic, analgesic etc. properties. The phytochemical screening confirms the presence of phenyl coumarins, xanthones, triterpenoids, tannin and saponin as main constituents responsible for its biological activity. It is also used in the cosmetics. This can be used as remedial agents for various health issues. This review reveals the phyto-pharmacological role of this medicinal plant.

The genus Trichoderma is multicultural soil-borne fungi found in different ecosystems. They are highly successful colonizers of their habitats. Genus Trichoderma is capable of dealing with various environments such as compost, agricultural soils, rhizosphere, and waste material. Therefore, different strains of Trichoderma have been applied in agriculture, bioremediation, waste management, and biotechnology. Many Trichoderma species act as biological control agents and plant growth promoters. Additionally, the genus Trichoderma is a new fungal source for the production of cyclosporin A as well as various hydrolytic enzymes with industrial importance.
