Abstract The probation is made to study the stagnation point flow of non-Newtonian fluid for Riga plate. Electric potential and magnetic flux density with time dependent flow is examined. Mesh for electric potential, magnetic flux, laminar flow with physics controlled fine, finer and extra finer option is also represented in details. Inquisition is solved in COMSOL Multi-physics 5.4 to obtain the results of surface magnitude, counter, table surface, magnetic flux, electric potential and coarse mesh for velocity, pressure, magnetic and electric fields. Coarse mesh of electric insulation and magnetic flux of the geometry is created with 6067, 18688 domain elements and 901, 1448 boundary elements. Tables for velocity surface, mesh domain, quadrilateral and triangular elements are also presented. Obtained results are discussed with graphs and tables in details.

In this article, we present a numerical analysis of the energy and mass transport behavior of microrotational flow via Riga plate, considering suction or injection and mixed convection. The thermal stratified parameters of nanofluid are captured using an interpretation of the well-known Keller box model, which helps us to determine the characteristic properties of the physical parameters. The formulated boundary layer equations (nonlinear partial differential equations) are transformed into coupled ODEs with nonlinearities for the stratified controlled regimes. The impact of embedded flow and all physical quantities of practical interest, such as velocity, temperature, and concentration profile, are inspected and presented through tables and graphs. We found that the heat transfer on the surface decreases for the temperature stratification factor as mass transfer increases. Additionally, the fluid velocity increases as the modified Hartmann number increases.

The main aim of current research work is to examine the impacts of homogeneous/heterogeneous reactions on the three-dimensional second-grade micropolar fluid flow caused by an exponentially stretching Riga plate. The thermal and solutal energy transportation characteristics are observed in the existence of Cattaneo–Christov heat flux, non-uniform heat source/sink and joule heating. Moreover, the features of thermal slip and porous medium are also incorporated in the mathematical model. The dimensionless process is adopted for the conversion of the PDEs into the self-similar form of ordinary differential equations (ODEs). The numerical approach Bvp4c is employed to solve ODEs and a comprehensive discussion is presented of arising physical parameters in this research work. The velocity profile rises as boosting the values of the microrotation parameter. Further, microrotation profiles along with x- and y-axes show decaying behaviour for the higher estimations of microrotation parameters. The homogeneous reaction profile has rising behaviour for higher values of Schmidt number and diminishing for higher estimations of strength homogeneous reaction parameter, respectively.

Purpose The investigation of fluid flow and heat transfer is incredibly significant in the present era, particularly in the engineering and manufacturing industries. Hence, this study aims to concern with analysing the unsteady stagnation point flow towards a permeable stretching/shrinking Riga plate of Al2O3-Cu/H2O. The effect of thermal radiation on the boundary layer flow is also taken into account. Design/methodology/approach The multi-variable differential equations with partial derivatives are transformed into third-order and second-order differential equations by applying appropriate transformations. The reduced mathematical model is solved in the MATLAB system by using the bvp4c procedure. This solution approach is capable of producing multiple solutions once the necessary assumptions are provided. Findings The results of various control parameters were analysed, and it has been observed that raising the solution viscosity from 0% to 0.5% and 1% improves the coefficient of skin friction and thermal conductivity by almost 1.0% and 1.9%. Similar response and observation can be witnessed in the addition of modified Hartmann number where the highest values dominate about 10.7% improvement. There is a substantial enhancement in the heat transfer rate, approximately 1.8% when the unsteadiness parameter leads around 30% in the boundary layer flow. In contrast, the increment in thermal radiation promotes heat transfer deterioration. Further, more than one solution is proven, which invariably leads to a stability analysis, which validates the first solution’s feasibility. Originality/value The present results are new and original for the study of flow and heat transfer on unsteady stagnation point flow past a permeable stretching/shrinking Riga plate in Al2O3-Cu/H2O hybrid nanofluid with thermal radiation.

The current work provides the optimal homotopic analytical methodology for the steady circulation over a non-isothermal radially stretched Riga plate/disc unit. The attributes of the heat, along with the mass transfer process, are assessed in the existence of variable transport and magnetic features. Radial stretched Riga disc is considered along with additional realistic boundary heating conditions, namely, prescribed surface temperature as well as prescribed surface concentration, convective boundary conditions and also zero mass flux concentration on the surface area of the Riga disc. The model tracks Brownian motion as well as the thermal diffusion of nanoparticles in fluid circulation all at once. Regulating equations, which are highly coupled, are changed right into non-dimensional equations using appropriate transformations of similarity. Through assembling series solutions, the resulting framework is planned and examined. Graphic summaries are offered for the rheological qualities of various parameters in size for velocity, temperature, as well as nanoparticles. The modified Hartman number improves the velocity distribution and reduces the temperature distribution in both prescribed surface temperature and convective boundary condition cases. The effect of the chemical reaction parameter shows the reduced concentration distribution for the prescribed surface temperature case. In contrast, it is precisely the opposite in the convective boundary condition case.
