<p>Much of the cost of software development is maintenance. Well structured software tends to be cheaper to maintain than poorly structured software, because it is easier to analyze and modify. The research described in this thesis concentrates on determining how to improve the structure of object-oriented classes, the fundamental unit of organization for object-oriented programs. Some refactoring tools can mechanically restructure object-oriented classes, given the appropriate inputs regarding what attributes and methods belong in the revised classes. We address the research question of determining what belongs in those classes, i.e., determining which methods and attributes most belong together and how those methods and attributes can be organized into classes. Clustering techniques can be useful for grouping entities that belong together; however, doing so requires matching an appropriate algorithm to the domain task and choosing appropriate inputs. This thesis identifies clustering techniques suitable for determining the redistribution of existing attributes and methods among object-oriented classes, and discusses the strengths and weaknesses of these techniques. It then describes experiments using these techniques as the basis for refactoring open source Java classes and the changes in the class quality metrics that resulted. Based on these results and on others reported in the literature, it recommends particular clustering techniques for particular refactoring problems. These clustering techniques have been incorporated into an open source refactoring tool that provides low-cost assistance to programmers maintaining object-oriented classes. Such maintenance can reduce the total cost of software development.</p>

In this article, we have substantiated the function of appeals in the letters of Lesya Ukrainka. We have studied the outgoing correspondence to Olga Kobylyanskaya. We analyzed the psycholinguistic orientation of appeals, conditions and factors of influence on the formation of linguistic products. We decoded the psychological meanings of the addresses and we interpreted the emotional saturation of specific units. It is a fact: writing is a fundamental unit of the epistolary text, within the framework of which the real traditions and relationships of correspondents are deciphered and interpreted. The formation of appeals, their appearance, emotional saturation is influenced by the personal and internal vicissitudes of the participants in communication and the social language environment. The issue of the peculiarities of the functioning of appeals in the letters of Lesya Ukrainka through multi-vector prisms is highlighted in the works of many linguists, in particular in the editions of S. Bogdan (semantic-syntactic, linguocultural, psycholinguistic and other aspects).), G. Arkulishin (lexical and semantic aspect), N. Zhuravleva (individual author's and one-time awards), etc. The purpose and objectives of the study is to identify and analyze the texts of personal outgoing correspondence of Lesya Ukrainka, in particular, correspondence with Olga Kobylyanskaya, to determine the psycholinguistic characteristics of the appeals in these letters and to study the emotional and expressive nature of linguistic neoplasms. Special attention is paid to appeals, expressed in a variety of ways, in which the conotativity and expressiveness of semantic linguistic units are encoded. In the letters of Lesya Ukrainka, a more intimate mood of communication is activated, expressed, in particular, in the existence of diminutive-affectionate and psychologically deep ones in the epistolary. The psychology of the ethnos is realized in the epistolary text through the use of well-grounded adjectives that give the language of writing a kind of folk song, folklore coloring. The etymological analysis of Olga Kobylyanskaya's references helps to create a complex psychological portrait of the addressee. So, great importance in the formation of opinions and the formation of thinking of Lesya Ukrainka is played by his education, social circle, interests, desires, activities and psychological organization.

Are Facebook status updates groups? If Facebook status updates are groups, then they may be an understudied yet fundamental unit of analysis for understanding Facebook. Using entitativity and self-categorization theories, we examine how status updates are perceived as groups by the status updaters. Results suggest that people who post status updates iterpret the responders to their status updates as groups. Further, using multiple group analysis, we demonstrate that interacting with status update responders creates a stronger and more robust assessment of the group. Our study suggests that theories about groups, particularly groups in which people are members, may be a new, useful theoretical stream for researchers.

Abstract This manuscript examines various types of bracketing paradoxes: classical “personal noun” constructions, parasynthetic compounds, agentive deverbal nouns, compound denominal adjectives, plural nouns with lexicalized modifiers, multiple auxiliary constructions, and German particle verb constructions. We argue that given a dependency-based view of both sentence and word structure, these bracketing puzzles become non-paradoxical. The morph catena is taken to be the fundamental unit of morphosyntax. A morph catena is A MORPH OR A COMBINATION OF MORPHS THAT ARE CONTINUOUS WITH RESPECT TO DOMINANCE. This notion is derived from its syntactic equivalent, the catena, which is defined as a word or a combination of words that are continuous with respect to dominance. Given an understanding of morphosyntax that acknowledges morph catenae, bracketing paradoxes are resolved by the ability of morph catenae to reach across words to include parts of words.

Let [Formula: see text] be a positive square-free integer and [Formula: see text] be the fundamental unit of the real quadratic field [Formula: see text]. The Ankeny–Artin–Chowla (AAC) conjecture asserts that [Formula: see text] for primes [Formula: see text], which still remains unsolved. In this paper, sufficient conditions for [Formula: see text] have been given in terms of Yokoi’s invariants [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text], and it has been shown that the AAC conjecture is true in some special cases.

The aim of this paper is to understand the human mind functions such that we can simulate them into a computational model for making cognitive systems more intelligent. We then present this model with formulae using a top-down approach. We propose that the human thought process, which is the fundamental unit for thehuman mind and all the different emotions coming from it, can be implemented as a mathematical formulae to a reasonable extent. Further, we argue that our model has the ability to derive mind functions such as dreams and thinking. The model utilizes a top-down approach for understanding the factors involved in the thought process while explaining the factors involved. The authors are intend to make continuous improvements in the formulae as more scientific advances happen in the understanding of the human brain.

The ability to make precise adjustments to the human genome has been a goal of healing in which gene also introduces as the fundamental unit of heredity, in biomolecular technology in genetic diseases have opened new knowledge such as gene therapy. Gene therapy is a technique to repair DNA where its usage is to treat the malignancy and inherited genetic diseases. Gene therapy is a choice to the genetic cloth that goals to remedy a sickness this is hard to deal with or perhaps has no treatment. Currently, gene remedy is done in approaches to patients, specifically embryonic cells and somatic cells, every in vivo and ex vivo. Moral considerations with modification of the difficulty's cells and oversight of regulation and reagents want to be taken into consideration within the gene therapy project. Applications for using gene remedies have begun to be widely used, which include in case of maximum cancers, coronary heart disorder, infectious sicknesses, and others. Gene therapy has spread to a wide range of applications then go beyond the modification of genetic disorders. Advances in genetic modification of cancer cells and immunity and the use of viruses and bacteria to control cancer cells have resulted in many clinical trials and product developments for cancer treatment. The miracles and blessings of gene therapy are might believe, but even though they are being studied and developed now and, in the future, so that the desire for gene therapy may be even better future. Keywords: gene therapy, genetic recombination, gene therapy application

Low participation of Black Americans in cancer clinical trials is a well-established predicament. Many factors resulted in this current dilemma with racism being the fundamental unit. Here, we discuss some current challenges and proposed solutions to help in increasing the enrollment of Black Americans in cancer clinical trials. We suggest implementing the least acceptable race-specific percentage as a new bar that registrational clinical trials need to pass before cancer drugs approval. Clinical trials will continue to draw the future of cancer therapeutics in which we believe that a prompt improvement of Black Americans participation is warranted.
