This essay evaluates the standpoint that the Roman Catholic Church has adopted regarding the European migrant crisis. Some countries feel a severe outfl ow of people due to mass labor migration; others must deal with the challenges as transit states, and others – enormous challenges generated by the infl ux of economic immigrants and refugees. The most popular theories of migration and public policies very often ignore the ethical component of migration. One of the entities that constantly emphasizes the humanitarian aspect of migration is the Holy See. Popes, beginning with Leo XIII, have repeatedly raised the issue of rights to a dignifi ed life and decent work, and if it is necessary also to migrate in search of a safe shelter and a better life. Pope Francis, like his predecessors, referring to the problem of migration, puts people fi rst. He emphasizes that all migration streams consist of individuals who deserve respect and care because we see in them the face of God. This paper concludes that the Church remains the signifi cant international body impartial amidst the growing European schism on the migrant issue.

It is common to think of medical and ethical modes of thought as different in kind. In such terms, some clinical situations are made more complicated by an additional ethical component. Against this picture, we propose that medical and ethical modes of thought are not different in kind, but merely different aspects of what it means to be human. We further propose that clinicians are uniquely positioned to synthesise these two aspects without prior knowledge of philosophical ethics.

The article reviews secular and religious consciousness of the traumatic events of the coronavirus pandemic. Authors use the theory of cultural secularization for distinction of these two types of consciousness. In the modern age, the theory of "multiple worlds" developed, whose authors proved that people live in different worlds, realities and belong to different types of consciousness. The article analyzes two types of consciousness that create different life worlds of those who have these consciousnesses. The ethical component of understanding the universal traumatic event is analyzed in the aspect of the problem of connection between the concepts "consolation" and "justice". Consolation practices have been known since antiquity, and justice as an effect of establishing cosmic order is considered in many world cultures. In times of crisis, archaic layers of social consciousness become actualized, since it is required to use all resources of collective memory. The secular consciousness is characterized by the idea of man-made immanent justice: justice is established by the creators of human laws. Religious consciousness is based on the idea of a transcendental source of justice that is Creator of being who is a transcendental subject. Comprehension of a traumatic event for religious consciousness is a process of its normalization by giving it the quality of a just event that is necessary for ordering the world, restoring balance between the actions of people and the actions of nature. The psyche is calmed down by giving a just meaning by correlating it with the universal law of the Cosmos or the Creator's plan. Religious consciousness will always seek consolation in the aspect of the relationship between the immanent and transcendental levels of being, since its world is fundamentally dual, metaphysical.

In this article the authors reveal the essence of the phenomenon of ethical competence of the future translator, because the challenges of nowadays require the approval of new conceptual trends related to the humanization of education. These tendencies become especially relevant in the humanities and pedagogical education, especially in philology. Modern higher education should not aim only at forming the necessary amount of professional knowledge, skills and abilities of the future philologist-translator or interpreter. It is required nowadays that the instrumental sphere of the personality of the graduate of the Faculty of Philology is closely combined with the development of motivational and value sphere, moral and ethical qualities, which in the synthesis provides a thorough professional and ethical training. The purpose of research is to analyze the essence of the phenomenon of ethical competence of the future translator, because the success of the future specialist – translator, his formation as a professional directly depends on the level of his professional and ethical training. In view of this, the realities of today require the intensification of pedagogical research aimed at studying the processes of formation and development of ethical competence in future translators. Results of research. Analysis of philosophical, psychological and pedagogical literature allows us to draw the following conclusions about the essence of the ethical component of the professional activity of a translator. First, the profession of translator performs an important social function. The translator in his professional activity is guided by two motives that have a purely moral and ethical character: internal, which is based on the moral consciousness of the individual, and external, which is based on the strength of the professional code of the specialist. Secondly, the study of the components of the professional competence of the translator led us to the system-forming nature of the personal component, which, in turn, breaks down into two components, one of which relates to the moral and ethical sphere of the specialist. Third, the review of research in the field of professional competence of a translator showed the lack of study of the analyzed problem, but pointed out the importance of its solution to ensure the appropriate level of professional activity of the translator. Fourth, a thorough component analysis of the professional competence of a specialist allowed us to determine the internal structure of ethical competence, which will consist of knowledge, skills, abilities and personal characteristics, i.e. those personal qualities necessary to ensure this competence. The above principles give us a reasonable basis for allocating the ethical component of the professional activity of a translator into an independent significant competence necessary for the successful performance of a professional's professional duties and meeting public needs.

Abstract The active devoted of the information technologies in medicine significantly facilitates the work of a doctor, but also creates a number of problems. One of them is related to the use in practice of documents on electronic media, including electronic medical records, and is related to personal information about the patient, which is strictly confidential and which can be stolen by unauthorized access using the capabilities of the Internet and especially social networks. Another problem associated with the use of electronic media is the possibility of uncontrolled introduction of false or erroneous information about the patient. One way to avoid mistakes associated with transferring information about one patient to an electronic document of another is to strictly identify each block of information. The importance of modern distance and multimedia teaching methods in the teaching process is emphasized. It is concluded that the future development of medical education in general, and the teaching of nervous diseases in particular, is associated with the combination of traditional methods with the capabilities of modern technical methods. Despite all the objective difficulties, it is vital to correct the situation. And here the professional experience of the doctor plays an important role. Given the fact that the use of these technologies is expanding more and more every year, the understanding of the complexities associated, with the ethical component of these methods, must be taken into account now.
