Scuffing is a particularly problematic wear phenomenon in sliding contact that has not yet been fully elucidated. The complicated mechanism of the development of this phenomenon results from the simultaneous influence of many factors. There is a continuous need for new research to gain a deeper understanding of the complex frictional processes that scuffing is. Components such as cams, tappets, piston rings and gears are extremely susceptible to scuffing. The idea of the research on the scuffing wear development is the study of the formation of adhesive cavities as the effects of the destruction of adhesive bonds at various operating parameters. The goal of the presented work is the analysis of the influence of the oscillation frequency on the formation of adhesive cavities leading to scuffing. The tests carried out with the use of S235 steel showed that the adhesive cavities on the surfaces of the tested components appear regardless of the adopted values of the oscillation frequency. The surfaces of the specimen and counter-specimen were analyzed before and after wear tests on the block-on-ring test stand at the different values of the oscillation frequency. The conducted research revealed that the greatest change in the values of the friction coefficient occurs with an increase in frequency from 2 to 5 Hz, and the largest change in the number of scuffing initiating cycles occurs with an increase in the oscillation frequency from 1 to 2 Hz.

The Innovation Box – a tax relief introduced in Poland in 2019, serves as a complementary element of fiscal support and the final link in the chain of innovation support. This preference isnot applied at the stage of creating new solutions (as was the case with the tax relief for purchasing new technologies and has been the case with tax relief for research and developmentactivity since 2016), but at the stage of their commercialisation. It may, thus, contribute to a greater interest and scale of application of the relief for research and development activity. Theaim of this article is to present the essence of the Innovation Box, as well as to conduct a SWOT analysis of this tax relief as an instrument of support for innovation by enterprises. A SWOTanalysis has corroborated the remarks – previously made by industry practitioners – concerning the ambiguous and complicated mechanism of the Innovation Box. However, along with theconsolidation of the practice of applying this tax relief, interest in it may increase, which in turn might be conducive to Polish enterprises.

BackgroundPublished estimations of the extent of breast cancer overdiagnosis vary widely, and there have been heated debates around these estimations. Some high estimates have even been the basis of campaigns against national breast cancer screening programmes. Identifying some of the sources of heterogeneity between different estimates would help to clarify the issue.MethodsThe simple case of neuroblastoma—a childhood cancer—screening is used to describe the basic principle of overdiagnosis estimation. The more complicated mechanism of breast cancer overdiagnosis is described based on data from Denmark, taking into account the type of data used, individual or aggregated.FindingsThe type of data used in overdiagnosis studies has a meaningful effect on the estimation: no study based on individual data provides an estimate higher than 17%, while studies based on aggregated data often provide estimates higher than 40%. This is too systematic to be random. The analysis of two Danish studies, one of each kind, highlights the biases that come with the use of aggregated data and shows how they can lead to overdiagnosis.InterpretationMany estimates of overdiagnosis associated with breast cancer screening programmes are serious overestimations.

Computing per-key aggregation is indispensable in streaming data analysis formulated as two phases, an update phase and a recovery phase. As the size and speed of data streams rise, accurate per-key information is useful in many applications like anomaly detection, attack prevention, and online diagnosis. Even though many algorithms have been proposed for per-key aggregation in stream processing, their accuracy guarantees only cover a small portion of keys. In this paper, we aim to achieve nearly full accuracy with limited resource usage. We follow the line of sketch-based techniques. We observe that existing methods suffer from high errors for most keys. The reason is that they track keys by complicated mechanism in the update phase and simply calculate per-key aggregation from some specific counter in the recovery phase. Therefore, we present PR-Sketch, a novel sketching design to address the two limitations. PR-Sketch builds linear equations between counter values and per-key aggregations to improve accuracy, and records keys in the recovery phase to reduce resource usage in the update phase. We also provide an extension called fast PR-Sketch to improve processing rate further. We derive space complexity, time complexity, and guaranteed error probability for both PR-Sketch and fast PR-Sketch. We conduct trace-driven experiments under 100K keys and 1M items to compare our algorithms with multiple state-of-the-art methods. Results demonstrate the resource efficiency and nearly full accuracy of our algorithms.

Antibody therapeutics are expanding with promising clinical outcomes, and diverse formats of antibodies are further developed and available for patients of the most challenging disease areas. Bispecific antibodies (BsAbs) have several significant advantages over monospecific antibodies by engaging two antigen targets. Due to the complicated mechanism of action, diverse structural variations, and dual-target binding, developing bioassays and other types of assays to characterize BsAbs is challenging. Developing bioassays for BsAbs requires a good understanding of the mechanism of action of the molecule, principles and applications of different bioanalytical methods, and phase-appropriate considerations per regulatory guidelines. Here, we review recent advances and case studies to provide strategies and insights for bioassay development for different types of bispecific molecules.

Braided river reaches and alluvial systems are characterized by their multi-threaded planform and agents of sediment transport due to eroding and deposing to form the bars and riffles. In braided river, frequent sediment transport and the quick shifting of the positions about the river channel induce many attentions discussion and relating a complicated consideration of the combinations of disciplines. In this article we introduce its fundamental characteristics and further the complicated mechanism in the literature and methodologies. The braided channel ecology and the management of braided river are mentioned and discussed, especially, the secondary currents, in this paper we explain in detail, the combinations on multiplying of 2-D flow of the velocity fluctuations. The interdisciplinary approach on linking engineers, earth scientists and social scientists concerned with environmental economics, planning, and societal and political strategies in order to fully evaluate the validity and reliability of different selections to various timescales is really sensitive. Furthermore, the requirements of public education on reinforcing about the mechanism of braided river formation will be obviously important and necessary.

The Regional Head election event which is expected to be held in September has to be postponed until December of course the postponement of the schedule is not without reason, the widespread spread of the Covid-19 pandemic virus outbreak is a separate obstacle for the General Election Commission to be able to hold Regional Head Elections because Public safety is the main thing that must be considered by the General Election Commission because this virus can attack anyone and the worst impact is the death of a person, therefore the General Election Commission made a new method related to regional head elections, namely by implementing health protocols in place. voting which will be applied to all officers to people who already have voting rights under the law this mechanism will be applied to voters from normal body temperature, body temperature 37.3 degrees Celsius to voters exposed to Covid-19 In addition to a more complicated mechanism, the impact resulting from Covid-19 is a more complicated election than before and the cost of organizing it is more expensive because it has to use a health protocol tool that must be given to all officers and the public.

Scholars have long recognized the Washback effect of English language tests on English teaching inside the classroom. However, the lack of scholarly reports in this area is also nonnegligible. Therefore, the present study intends to review some empirical researches that focus on the washback of some English language tests on different aspects of classroom teaching, including the washback on course content, teaching materials, and teaching activities. Both positive and negative washback are found on these aspects and can be attributed to a number of factors, including differences in features of the test content, differences in tests’ coordination to course syllabus, differences in teachers’ adoption of teaching methods, etc. The final discussion recognizes the complicated mechanism of washback of the English language test on classroom teaching and serves to bring out some scholarly and pedagogical implications. On the one hand, future studies could focus more on how to bring out positive washback of English language tests on classroom teaching. On the other hand, pedagogical practices could take advantage of the latest scholarly findings to maximize the efficacy of the aforementioned positive washback.

Targeted protein degradation by small-molecule degraders represents an emerging mode of action in drug discovery. Proteolysis targeting chimeras (PROTACs) are small molecules that can recruit an E3 ligase and a protein of interest (POI) into proximity, leading to induced ubiquitination and degradation of the POI by the proteasome system. To date, the design and optimization of PROTACs remain empirical due to the complicated mechanism of induced protein degradation. Nevertheless, it is increasingly appreciated that profiling step-by-step along the ubiquitin-proteasome degradation pathway using biochemical and biophysical assays are essential in understanding the structure–activity relationship and facilitating the rational design of PROTACs. This review aims to summarize these assays and to discuss the potential of expanding the toolbox with other new techniques.

The characteristics of using possibilities of different kinds of reiterations, poetic address and poetic inquiries in his creativity were investigated, the researches dedicated on Nabati poetry in the dissertation are made out. This article describes that tough we come across the concrete dissections in Nabati creativity, the poetics of the poet wasn.t investigated in the completed form in terms of the main parameters. Neverthelesss accomplishing such an investigation world help to identify the parameters stipulated the distinctiveness of the poet’s literary heritage. The investigation showed that voice reiteration takes an important place in the reiterations system of Nabati diwan(selected poems of a poet) . Poet achieves to exaggerate the aesthetic affect of literary quote thanks to following each other during the verse, couplets of phoneme even the whole poetics piece. Nonetheless Nabati is one of the poets that used with great competence of expressive possibilities of literary addresses. The research showed that literary recital means are in the effect and mutual coherence on the basis of complicated mechanism in the poems of Nabati and creates the whole poetic system. There is a serious necessity to the comprehensive research of this poetic system.
