This study aims to explore more information about the economic performance of Nepal and the impact on the economy caused by foreign trade. The trade deficit impacted directly on the financial performance of the country. It affected the GDP of the nation, supply side, interest rate, price of commodities and FDI. The article has discussed the relationship with the major trading partner of Nepal and other countries. Besides this, a quantitative research method was used in this research paper. Information in this article was collected from a secondary source of data. The reliability of this study depended on the reliability of secondary data. The analysis was based on a simple statistical tool. Concerning the methodology, it is based on exploratory data analysis. The comparison has been made in this paper with primary trading partner countries India, China and other countries. This study has found the deficient export performance of Nepal, which has created the problem of rapidly increasing trade deficit. Trade deficit became one of the major causes that lead the national economy to downturn side.

Skill for effective communication is an essential quality of a business professional. A course on business communication needs to help them develop such a capacity. The course of English entitled ‘business communication’ prescribed in BBS second year in Tribhuvan University has intended to achieve this goal. On this background, this article analyses how the combination of the contents, language skills and recommended pedagogical approach of tis course is useful to achieve the intended goal of the curriculum. The study is based on Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) principles which argue that language learning should be relevant to the future career of the learners. Only such a course can encourage the learners’ involvement and makes a language class lively and goal oriented. Seen from this perspective, the course under analysis connects the value of English with professional competence with its focus on communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity of its learners. The task based learning pedagogical approach makes both the students and teachers active in the classroom and students continue learning language even beyond the classroom set up. Such a course is useful for career based studies.

The paper aims to explore about the use of Internet that changes the way consumers purchase goods and services. The growing number of internet users in Nepal provides a bright prospect for online shopping. Recent research has shown an interest in investigating the factors that affect the attitude of consumers towards online shopping. The study is being carried out to identify and analyze the factors that affect consumers' attitude towards online shopping in Janakpurdham and to examine the factors that motivate consumers to shop online. In this study, quantitative research method has been used. Questionnaire method is used to collect the data. The study has been done by convenient sampling method. The main finding of this study is that among the four factors (convenience, website design/features, time saving and security) selected for this research, the most attractive and influencing factor for online shopping is convenience, followed by time saving the second and thirdly security. Results have also showed that the website design/features are also important for online shopping. The findings also indicate that time saving is the most important factor that motivate consumers to shop online, followed by easy to purchase second and thirdly variety at one shop. This study is useful to understand the online shopping behavior of consumers.

This survey attempted to explore the motivating factors of young entrepreneurs in eastern Nepal to start a business. Primary data were collected from 204 young entrepreneurs from eastern Nepal using a self-administered questionnaire. The collected data were coded, entered, and processed in the Statistical Package for the Social Science (SPSS, version 25). This survey used a quantitative technique to analyze the collected data. The study's findings revealed that most young entrepreneurs of eastern Nepal were motivated by profit potential to start the business, followed by a perceived difficulty tofind a job in Nepal and willingness to do something new through entrepreneurial activity. The least number of entrepreneurs had started their business for legacy purposes and to take advantage of a supportive business network.

Educational service is one of the most lucrative businesses at present. Nepal is getting tremendous growth in education sector. College managers are not clear why student choose particular college. This study analyzes major factors that determine the students’ choice of Management College in Kathmandu. This study tries to test the effects of convenient location of the college, friends’ choice of college, advertisement, image, past performances, fun, fee, faculties, resource centers and physical environment on choice of college. This study finds image and physical environment of the college only affect significantly in choice of the college.

The paper aims to analyze the management accounting practice in Nepalese commercial banks. Primary data have been collected by using interview method and structured questionnaire. The accounting and audit department staff in the sample banks were served with questionnaires. The descriptive survey research has been utilized in this research. The study employed the simple percentage and simple average to analyze the research questions. A sample of six numbers Nepalese commercial banks has been considered with convenience sampling technique. The study foundthat various management accounting tools are in practice in Nepalese commercial banks and maximum Nepalese commercial banks use more than one management accounting tools.In addition, management accounting is important to Nepalese commercial banks’ management for planning, evaluating, controlling and decision making and there are various problems in practicing management accounting tools in Nepalese commercial banks, such as lack of expertise, lack of information about tools, lack of top management’s committee, accounting provisions of NRB, tax law compliances, high cost and so on.

This paper aims to describe women and their enterprises and to assess the initiator, and their reasons behind the commencement of their business. The paper deals with the micro-enterprises controlled and managed by a disadvantaged section of women in Biratnagar Metropolitan City. The sample of 54 deprived women running micro-enterprises was selected implying a purposive sampling method. Primary data were collected with a structured questionnaire that was administered by the researcher. The study depicted that there were 3 main motivating factors self-motivation, self-employment attitudes, and educational background of leaning towards micro-enterprises. The disadvantaged section of women due to various social inhibitions and personal reasons, there is a little chance of getting formal jobs in an organized sector. This compelled them to run micro-enterprises. Women belonging to disadvantaged classes are willing for productive involvement in economic gainful activities pushing them to micro-enterprises.

This article analyses how the current course of English in Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Tribhuvan University has used interdisciplinary approach in teaching English for business communication to would-be business administrators. To prepare the background and methodology of the analysis, the history of such courses in the global context is reviewed and certain parameters are devised based on B.F. Skinner’s theory of language shaping. It is found that the course has maintained the international standard and so is appropriate for aspiring business managers. The integration of language, literature, technical writing skills and business management related contents has made the course useful and difficult to handle at the same time. Active and motivated participants of both the course instructor and the learners is necessary to make the course successful with the achievement of the objectives the curriculum devised.

The aim of this paper is to examine the impact of liquidity on profitability in Nepalese commercial banks. Market price, earning per share, net profit margin and return on assets are taken as the indicators of profitability. Deposit-credit ratio, cash reserve ratio and capital adequacy ratio are taken as the indicators of liquidity. This study has tried to determine the association between liquidity and profitability indicators of 27 commercial banks out of 28 commercial banks in Nepal. The cross-sectional secondary data of these banks were used. Descriptive and causal comparative research strategies were applied to analyse the data. Correlation analysis and multiple general linear regression analysis were applied to establish the association. This study has found that there is no statistically significant association between liquidity and profitability indicators in Nepalese commercial banking industry. The data were analysed using statistical software mini tab.

The main purpose of the research paper is to explore the consumer's perception and satisfaction on shopping at Bhat Bhateni Super Market Biratnagar. The research study is based on descriptive research design and the sample is taken 30 among the infinite population visiting Bhat Bhateni Super Market Biratnagar by non-probability sampling under convenience sampling method. The data has been collected through primary source and questionnaire  method has been used to know consumers perception and satisfaction. The data and informations are analysed and discussed with the help of percentage in tabular form by MS­ Excel. According to the results and discussion, consumers have perceived Bhat Bhateni Super Market as one of the convenient super market available in Biratnagar town. Consumers seems to be satisfied with the wide variety of product being offered, price and quality of those product, allocation arrangement of the product and many other services provided by Bhat Bhateni Super Market Biratnagar.
