Introduction. One of the most valuable cultural heritage of the Indonesian nation's ancestors is the ancient manuscript. Ancient manuscripts can be found in every region in Indonesia, especially Indramayu. Most of the ancient manuscripts found in Indramayu have been kept at the Bandar Cimanuk Museum, Indramayu. Most of the ancient manuscripts in the Bandar Cimanuk Museum, Indramayu, are written by hand or in the original form before printing. Digitalization is the process of transferring document media from printed, audio, and video forms. Equipment used in digitizing activities includes software and hardware. In digitizing ancient manuscripts, there are 2 stages that must be followed, pre-digitization and organizing.Data Collection Methods. Using a qualitative methods and descriptive  approach with a case study category. Data Analysis. The survey data were descriptively analysed by using 3 steps there are reduction, presentation and conclutsin . Result and Discussion.The result of the process of digitizing an ancient manuscript is an ancient manuscript in digital format. The results show that after the ancient manuscripts in the museum have been digitized, they can provide information according to the needs of the manuscript users and can preserve the information contained in the ancient manuscripts found at the Bandar Cimanuk Museum, Indramayu.Conclusion. Based on the results that have been found in digitizing ancient manuscripts at the Bandar Cimanuk Museum, Indramayu, there are a number of stages that must be carried out, namely the pre-digitalization stage and the organizing stage.

Introduction. This study aims to examine the most prominent libraries in the classical Islamic period based on Islamic history. Islam in its golden age was once the most advanced civilization in the world.Data Collection Methods. This type of research is descriptive qualitative where data is collected through observation, interviews and documentation.Data Analysis. The theory used uses the principle of the library (Library low) based on Ranganathan. Data analysis in this study used the Miles & Huberman model, namely by reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions / verification.Results and Discussion. The most prominent library revitalization manuscripts during the classical Islamic period were the Bayt al-Hikmah Library in Baghdad, the University Library of Cordoba, and the Dar al-Hikmah Library in Cairo. The three universities received enormous support from the government in carrying out their roles and functions in developing science at that time.Conclusion. The result of this research is that the development of Islamic libraries has roles and functions that can be adapted in universities, including study and research centers, scientific meeting centers and foreign book translation centers.

Introduction. This study focuses on the management of the Reading and Literacy Tourism program in the aspect of POAC (Planning, Organizing, Actuating, Controlling). The development of reading interest is an effort made to increase people's reading interest and habits, with the existence of a reading interest development program it can encourage an increase in people's reading interest. One of the roles to develop people's reading interest is the library. The City Library of Banjar Patroman has one program in an effort to develop interest in reading, especially for early childhood in PAUD, TK and RA in Banjar Patroman City. This activity is called Reading and Literacy Tourism which is carried out by traveling while reading books.Data Collection Methods. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method. Research data obtained through interviews, observation and document analysis.Data Analysis. The analysis uses several objects in the form of behavior, perception, motivation, action, and others holistically, and by means of description in the form of words and language, in a special natural context and by utilizing various natural methods.Results dan Discussion. The City Library of Banjar Patroman uses the planning concept that has been regulated in the Terms of Reference (KAK), then organizing there are 15 committee members who divided into 6 divisions, the implementation is carried out 2 times a week or 24 times a year and the implementation of this  activity is carried out during the Covid-19 pandemic with a limitation of 20 participants consisting of accompanying teachers and participants, supervision of this activity uses direct supervision, indirect supervision, internal control and external supervision.Conclusion. The results of this study indicate that the Banjar Patroman City Library in developing early childhood reading interest through Reading and Literacy Tourism activities in managing its activities using the POAC aspect.

Introduction. This paper will discuss about information seeking behavior. Information is the target that is sought after by all people. The amount of information becomes a necessity for humans. This information need refers to the public or users who really need information. Information needs can be used for all circles without exception. From this information need, information seeking behavior will arise as a means of seeking information to obtain the information you want to find. Behavior Information behavior is a pattern of human behavior in terms of the nature of information, both in the involvement of using and in the search for information. The behavior referred to here is how a person gets information through his behavior.Data Collection Methods. The method used in this paper is literature study where the data sources of this paper are books, magazines, journals and references related to information seeking behavior according to David Ellis so that it can be analyzed carefully. The process of collecting data goes through 3 processes, namely editing, organizing and findingData Analysis In this paper, the author analyzes the data using the opinion or theory of David Ellis in information seeking behavior as the main referenceResults and Discussion. Information seeking behavior according to David Ellis has several characteristics including starting as the initial stage in information search, chaining which is the stage to browse literature through quotes from books or journals, browsing which is the tracing stage, differentiating which is the screening stage of the sources obtained.,monitoring as a means of monitoring developments, extracting as a means of continuing the search, verifying which is the stage of checking the information that has been obtained, and finally ending as a cover for searching and searching for information.Conclusion. Based on the findings, David Ellis shows that  there are 8 characteristics of information seeking behavior, namely starting chaining browsing, differentiating monitoring, extracting, verifying ending.

Introduction. The objective of this research was to know the digital library based on the perspective of Lucy A. Tedd and Andrew Large in the Library of the Faculty of Engineering UGM Yogyakarta.Data Collection Methods. This research used qualitative method with a type of case study research. Data collection techniques used are observation, interview, and documentation.Data Analysis. The theory used is the perspective of Lucy A. Tedd and Andrew Large. Data analysis in this research used the theory from Milles and Huberman, including data reduction, data display and Conclusion Drawing / Verification.Results dan Discussion. First, the UGM Yogyakarta Faculty of Engineering Library fulfills the information process both from the ability to create, search, and use information, secondly, the fulfillment of the Yogyakarta UGM Faculty of Engineering Library collection which consists of data and metadata that are interconnected both internally and externally, and which third, the fulfillment of integration or relationship between the UGM Yogyakarta Faculty of Engineering Library with other institutions or organizations, namely with the UGM Central Library and with other Faculty Libraries within UGM, but not for libraries / museums / archives / schools / other units outside UGM environment. In this research it is recommended to be able to do a network of cooperation with various institutions or other organizations outside the UGM, it aims to meet the information needs of users in accessing information, where such information is widely available, complete and diverse. In addition it can also improve the quality of provision of library services to library users.Conclusion. The result of this research are the Library of the Faculty of Engineering UGM Yogyakarta is a digital library, this is evidenced by the fulfillment of the three characteristics of digital library based on the perspective of Lucy A. Tedd and Andrew Large

Introduction. This study aims to determine how far the competence of school/madrasah librarians in the city of Banjarmasin.Data Collection Methods. This type of qualitative research uses a qualitative approach. The research subjects were school librarians in the city of Banjarmasin (MAN 2 Model, MTsN Pemurus Dalam, MTsN 1 Pekauman, MTsN 3 Mulawarman and MAN 3 Mulawarman). The object of research is the competence of school librarians. Data collection techniques using the method of observation, interviews and documentation.Data Analysis. Data analysis techniques using data reduction, data presentation, triangulation, drawing conclusions.Results and Discussion. Thoose are: 1) the managerial competence of librarians still focuses on administrative evaluation, 2) the information management competence of librarians has not been fully able to meet the expectations of information management competence, 3) the educational competence must improve competence literacy, 4) the personality competence has not have professional awareness, 5) the social competence of librarians is still not paying attention to the development of personal character in the pattern of relationships with users, 6) the competence of professional development of librarians has not been able to describe adequate competencies, especially in the form of scientific works or scientific publications.Conclusion. Thoose are 3 main factors that can improve the competence of librarians, namely individual factors, school factors and the desire to attend education and seminars.

Introduction. This study aims to find out about the leadership style of the Head of the Library at Special Library of Dinas Pendidikan Kota Yogyakarta.. Data Collection Methods. Descriptive qualitative type of research in which data are collected through interviews and documentationData Analysis. The theory used is a leadership style based on Ralph White and Ronald Lippit, namely autocratic, democratic, and laissez-faire. For the analysis knife, four types of objects of observation are used, namely communication, supervision, direction and decision making.Results and Discussion. Leadership style applied by the Head of the Library at Special Library of Dinas Pendidikan Kota Yogyakarta is democratic. This conclusion is drawn after looking at 4 objects of observation that can translate the leadership style of the librarian, namely: communication, work supervision, direction, and decision making. Of these four things, the head of the library always involves the participation of his employees with the aim of exchanging ideas with each other both in terms of completing work and in solving a problem.Conclusion. The results showed that the leadership style applied by the head of the library used a democratic leadership style.

Preliminary. Librarians as digital library managers need to pay attention to issues related to digital collections, including legal and regulatory issues related to intellectual property rights or copyrights related to taking and making digital collections and plagiarism.Method. This research is a qualitative type with a descriptive approach. The data was obtained using a literature study technique by searching the latest journal articles and books.Data analysis. By using four stages, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation and the last step is drawing conclusions and verification.Results and Discussion. In connection with the copyright, in accordance with the provisions of the library legislation, in carrying out the task of digitizing the collection, there will be no problem and conflict with the legal provisions of copyright as long as the purpose is only for educational and research purposes, and not for commercial purposes.Conclusion. Libraries as information processing institutions can make institutional regulations to address copyright issues related to legal issues such as regulations: Deposit Trade-Secrecy, Copy Left, Doktrin Fair Use.

Introduction. This study aims to find out how the quality of library services at SMA Negeri 7 Purworejo and what attributes are important to be allocated by library managers in order to provide good service quality based on the LibQUAL+^TM theory which includes (1) Service Affect (the ability & attitude of librarians in serving), (2) Library aas Place (library room facilities & atmosphere), (3) Personal Control (directions and means of access), (4) Information Access (access to information). Data collection method. The method used in this study is a quantitative method. With a sample of 251 people, the sample was drawn using a simple random sampling technique, namely a random sampling technique without regard to the existing strata in the population. Analysis data. The analysis was carried out using the Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) model, namely the analysis of the level of interest and user satisfaction using a Cartesian diagram which can show the location of the indicators in the LibQUAL+^TM dimension contained in the first quadrant. Results and discussion. The results of this study indicate that the quality of library services at SMA Negeri 7 Purworejo is 8471 ,66% or 80% more, meaning that the users are satisfied with the performance of library services.Conclusions. Users have high expectations of smooth access to the information needed, with an average of quadrant I and III positions.

Introduction. The golden generation is a generation that is able to compete globally with comprehensive intelligence, including productive, innovative, peaceful in social interactions, healthy and healthy in natural interactions, and superior civilization.Data Collection Method. This type of research is qualitative. Data were collected by in-depth interviews and direct observation. The validity of the data was tested through data triangulation.Analysis Data. The data is discussed with the big6 model of information literacy theory. Data analysis using library research method or literature study.Results and Discussion. Information literacy is the ability to recognize information needs and when information is needed, identify and locate information, evaluate information critically. Information literacy is one way to form a golden generation in the school environment. The big6 literacy model has 6 effective steps that can be used to solve problems, namely; task definition; information seeking strategies; location and access; use the information; synthesis; and evaluation.Conclusions. Implementation of this model requires planning methods and instructor competence. Implementation of information literacy at SD Muhammadiyah Sapen Yogyakarta in the form of library research that produces student work in the form of mini books
