Islam is a blessing for the universe. Islam is a present and accepted in a long process. Assimilation, acculturation, and conferences with similar social dimensions occur in the archipelago. Like Islam, it entered Madura through the sea around Parindu Beach, south coast of Sumenep Madura. Penetration Pasifique, the Islamic way of engaging in cultural battles with residents in Sumenep, Madura. Therefore, in its development, Islam has succeeded in basing the teachings of the Qur’an and Hadith through cross-cultural found in local traditions in Bringin village, Sumenep District, Madura Regency. This research is a historical study of the development of Islam in Sumenep, Madura through the local tradition of Rokat Panḍhâbâ Pangantanan in Bringin Village, Dasuk District, Sumenep, Madura. The theory of Milanowski’s functionalism is used to find meanings and uses in two cross-cultural relationships of Islam and Hinduism that are believed by the practitioners of the local tradition of Rokat Panḍhâbâ Pangantanan. Qualitative research methods and historical approaches are applied using comparative study techniques including sociology, anthropology-culture, philology, and multidimensionality.

Asia Tenggara merupakan sebuah kawasan di mana mayoritas penduduknya memeluk agama Islam. Tidak bisa dipungkiri bahwa Islam masuk ke Asia Tenggara melalui jalan damai dengan proses-proses islamisasi. Hal itu, merupakan bagian yang tidak terpisahkan dari perkembangan Islam di Asia Tenggara. Topik mengenai sejarah Islam di Asia Tenggara menjadi perbincangan di antara para sejarawan hingga kini. Perdebatan mengenai sejarah munculnya Islam di kawasan tersebut terfokus pada isu tentang asal usul dan perkembangan Islam di kepulauan Asia Tenggara. Kemunculan Islam di Asia Tenggara merupakan kebangkitan yang dikondisikan sejarah, budaya politik serta lingkungan lokal dan etnis. Oleh sebab itu, makalah ini ingin membahas dinamika sejarah perkembangan Islam di Asia Tenggara.

This research aims to interpret Thariq bin Ziyad’s policy with his miltary prowess in conquering Andalusia and describe socio-politic condition pre-war till end from konflik between Islam military and Christian Military di Andalusia. Hypotesis from this research is 1) Thariq bin Ziyad able to defeat their enemy in once attack without sharp strategy else. 2) the attack only for the coast district of Andalusia wtihout to invasion movement to middle land untill north of Andalusia. This research is library research with historical research method, they are: heuristic, verification, synthesis and historiography. Result of the research, prove that attack was succesfully carried out with a special strategy made by Thariq bin Ziyad in a period of almost a year of preparation as wel as defeating and killing the leader of the Visigoth Kingdom. As a result, Thariq and his military easliy conqeuring whole of Andalusia without war. Therefore, Thariq bin Ziyad’s policy or his intrique gave incridiblle effect for Islam Military, untill finally they able to occupy whole of Andalusia, although there is one district again had not chance to conquer it, because they are ordered by Caliphate of Umayyad to come back to Damascus.

This study discusses a socio-cultural history of Islam in a society regarding the reflection of the Javanese people's ability to read natural signs to determine the calculation of the seasons that will be used in farming, which is called Pranata Mangsa. The existence of the Pranata Mangsa Javanese calendar which later developed became a guideline in farming activities for Muslim farming communities in Undaan Kudus. However, if we look at several phenomena from the early 2000s AD to the present, especially regarding the seasons, of course there are many seasonal changes that occur on this Earth. The changing seasons on Earth occur due to various factors. This factor is due to the existence of several natural phenomena. This research uses historical methods and anthropological approaches. The anthropological approach can serve to study the socio-cultural background of past events, while history serves to study the cultural changes that occurred in the Muslim farming community of Undaan Kudus. This study shows that the socio-cultural conditions of the Muslim farming community are changing. The Muslim farming community of Undaan Kudus which was initially very thick with the guidelines of Pranata Mangsa with various religious ceremonies, gradually underwent a change by following the existence of modernism due to difficulties in reading natural signs.

Writing a history of violence often encounters obstacles in finding data. This is due to the concern and silence of the perpetrators to reveal the chronology of historical events. The process of searching for archived data is sometimes also not found in archival institutions. In the other hand, historians are not yet very familiar with the data obtained from the authorities. The history of violence reconstruction with the issue of dukun santet in Banyuwangi is also the same. Investigation the data found many obstacles such as historical actors who do not want to tell incidents that happened. The role of the police archives and the court is very important, because in the minutes of the examination and the news of the court has been written. Historians need to view the archives of the court as an alternative when historians have difficulties in finding the data. At this point historians must be able to pick up archives not only fixated on archival institutions, but can look for the archives through institutions such as courts to see the chronology of violence that has occurred and has been tried in judicial institutions. Historians can go further for data analysis and can see the results of interviews conducted by the judiciary. This study will discuss the role of historians in seeking data from the court as a primary source.

This paper examines the function of the Great Mosque of Tuban in Social Life, which is limited from 2004-2020. This research is a follow-up study that uses the structural-functional theory proposed by Talcott Parsons. This research is descriptive analysis using historical research methods related to data collection, verification, interpretation, and historiography. This study aims to determine the history of the Great Mosque of Tuban and analyze its function in social life. From a historical point of view, the Great Mosque of Tuban has existed since the time of Wali Songo, namely Sunan Bonang who is a prominent Islamic broadcaster in Tuban. Along with the times, in principle the Great Mosque of Tuban is not only used as a place of worship, but also functions as a social activity such as a place for distributing zakat and infaq, wedding activities, recitations, and as an economic center. In addition, it is also used as a tourist attraction.

This study discusses the organization of 'Aisyiyah during the leadership of Siti Baroroh Bared, in which in her leadership she succeeded in making 'Aisyiyah known and collaborating with international organizations. This article will reveal the condition of 'Aisyiyah before the leadership of Siti Baroroh Bared and how the development of 'Aisyiyah during her leadership. The method used in this research is the historical method. Siti Baroroh Bared has a high intellect so that she can create superior and new programs in an 'Aisyiyah organization including the development of the Bustanul Athfal Kindergarten, establishing a school for midwives and nurses, conducting recitations by traveling outside the Kauman village, the existence of an Economic Business Entity program The 'Aisyiyah family (BUEKA), conducts regeneration and leadership coaching and training programs, organizes compensation programs for orphans and the poor, in addition to cooperating with various parties or organizations and establishing several federations of women's organizations

He writing of the historical novel, Nur Sutan Iskandar, uses the thematic method to reveal Minangkabau Indigenous and Natural problems in various situations. In addition, Nur Sutan Iskandar also seemed not to take sides with any camp, both to the Kingdom of Inderapura, the Sultanate of Aceh and the Netherlands. From a leadership perspective, it is clear that Nur Sutan Iskandar's writings tend to refer to the Minangkabau people's Customs and Natural Traditions, namely public relations in historical writing. Research also shows that Nur Sutan Iskandar also tends to discuss the historical conflict between the Inderapura kingdom and the Aceh Darussalam kingdom. In fact, Nur Sutan Iskandar also discussed Balanda's intervention. This proves that Nur Sutan Iskandar has contributed to Indonesian historiography, even though Nur Sutan Iskandara's works are subjective because they are written in literary form.

HOS Cocroaminoto is a politician as well  as the leader of Sarekat Islam movement at the beginning of the 20th century. He was an active figure in the early world of the movement in the Hindia Belanda. In its political activity in 1918, he politicized the polemic of blasphemy in the newspapers of Djawi Hisworo to strengthen his political standing and attack his enemies. Through this politicization, Cokrominoto managed to attract many followers and mobilize the masses consisting of muslim. In this study, the author uses historical research methods wich include soirce criticism, interpretation, and historical writing.This writing is written with analitycal descriptive type. Research resource, among others: (1) Cokroaminoto politicized by attracting modernist Muslims to revive the branches of Sarekat Islam wich at the time were neglecte. (2) He also succeeded in estabilishing the Tentara Kandjeng Nabi Muhammad for the media movement. (3) He also managed to raise funds from Muslim merchants so many. Cokroaminoto then expelled enemies in the Communist-leaning Sarekat Islam which at the time became an obstacle for him to carry out his political activities.

This Study describes the historical series of the role of the Chinese Muslim etnich group in the 19th century Dutch colonial period in Palembang, in this article will reveal several Chinese Muslim ethnich figures and clerics who played a role in the 19th century Dutch colonial period in Palembang, including; Kiyai Mas Husin (Yu-Chien), Baba Yu Chien has a son named Muhammad Najib I who holds the title of Kiyai Demang Jayosepuh Wiraguno who served as a minister during the reign of Sultan Ahmad Najamuddin, Baba Balqiyah and Baba Mas’ud, they played a role in resisting the Dutch colonial and drowning Dutch cruise ship at the mouth of the Ogan river in Palembang. After they died, his role was replaced by Baba Muhammad Najib II or Kiyai Demang Jayalaksana who was an important figure in the construction of the Great Mosque of Palembang in the reign of Sultan Muhammad Badaruddin II (1724 M/1137 H). The majority are Muslims from the Dutch colonial nation.
