Vocational High School (SMK) is a period of employment. Therefore students are required to understand and master the concept of career maturity. The problem of this study is how the interactive multimedia -based career guidance module is considerably effective in increasing students' career maturity? The aim of this study is to develop an effective interactive multimedia-based counseling career module to increase the SMKN 2 Lamongan students' career maturity. The products have been formulated by the researchers tested and validated by expert judgments and practitioners. The results showed that the ready-to-test product was implemented at school for their effectiveness. Based on the empirical test, it showed different score between before (79.39%) and after (89.62%) the career counseling service which Increased 10.2%. It can be concluded that career counseling through interactive multimedia based modules effectively Increased students' career maturity.

Background: Desloratadine is a drug with a phenotypic polymorphism in metabolism and has been approved for use in many countries to treat allergic diseases. CYP2C8 and UGT2B10 are metabolic enzymes, which may be involved in the metabolism of desloratadine. Objective: This study aimed to demonstrate bioequivalence between the test product (desloratadine tablet) and the reference product AERIUS (5mg), both orally administered. And the role of UGT2B10 and CYP2C8 genotypes in healthy Chinese subjects with different Desloratadine metabolic phenotypes was examined. Methods: It was a randomized, open-label, and four-sequence, single-dose crossover study conducted on 56 healthy Chinese subjects. The pharmacokinetics (PK) and safety of the test and reference Desloratadine products were compared. UGT2B10 and CYP2C8 genotypes were determined by the TaqMan assay using genomic DNA. Multiple linear regression was applied to analyze the correlation between genotypes and the metabolic ratio. Results: The mean serum concentration-time curves of desloratadine and 3-OH-desloratadine were similar between the test product and the reference product. For the PK similarity comparison, the 90% CIs for the geometric mean ratios of Cmax, AUC0-t, and AUC0-∞ of desloratadine and 3-OH-desloratadine of test and reference product were completely within 80-125%. None of all 56 subjects had serious adverse events. Only 2 subjects were poor-metabolizers in 56 healthy subjects. There was no significant correlation between investigated genotypes of CYP2C8 and UGT2B10 and the metabolic ratio. Conclusion: The test desloratadine tablet was bioequivalent to the reference product. No direct relationship between CYP2C8 and UGT2B10 genotypes and desloratadine metabolic ratio was identified.

This research aimed to figure out the influence between product quality, price and marketing influencer with the purchasing decision of Scarlett Body Whitening in East Java. The research instrument employed questionnaire to collect data from Scarlett Body Whitening consumers in East Java. Since there was no valid data for number of the consumers, the research used Roscoe method to take the sample. Data analyzed using multiple linear regression test. Product quality and price have a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions. Meanwhile, the marketing influencer had no significant effect on purchase decision for Scarlett Body Whitening. Need further research to ensure that marketing influencer had an effect on purchase decision.   Keywords: Product quality, price, marketing influencer, buying decision

Competition in the culinary business is currently required for business actors to have a strategy that is able to attract and retain consumers for the sustainability of their company. This study aims to test product quality, brand image and facilities simultaneously influence Abata Donut's purchasing decisions. The sample research sample is 100 consumers accidental sampling with multiple linear regression method. The results of the research on product quality, brand image and facilities simultaneously and partially have a significant effect on Abata Donut's purchasing decisions. The contribution of the three independent variables can explain the purchase decision by 42.9% and the rest is influenced by other variables. Abstract Background Increasing resistance of head lice against neurotoxic agents and safety concerns have led to the search for treatment alternatives. Dimeticones with a physical mode of action are safe, and bear a reduced risk for the development of resistance. Methods We performed in vitro bioassays to assess pediculicidal and ovicidal activities of a new dimeticone-based product, and a randomized controlled clinical trial to assess efficacy, following 10 min application. Of 153 individuals screened, 100 participants with active head louse infestations were randomly assigned to treatment with either a dimeticone-based test product, or a 0.5% permethrin-based reference product (50 participants per group). Participants received two topical applications of either the test (10 min) or reference products (45 min) at days 0 and 7 or 8. Outcome measures included the efficacies of treatment and their safety, as well as global and local tolerability at baseline, and days 1, 7, and 10. Results After 10 min exposure, all lice treated with the dimeticone test product were classified as non-viable in the in vitro assay. Ovicidal activity after treatment of eggs with the dimeticone test product was 96.8%. In the clinical trial, 96 patients completed all study visits. In the full analysis set (FAS) population, on day 1 after one application, 98% of patients were cured in the test group, as compared to 84% cured in the reference group. All participants in both groups were free of head lice on day 10, following two applications (100% cure rate). In total, 42 adverse events (AEs) in 23 patients of both treatment groups were recorded, with the majority of AEs classified as mild. Conclusions We have shown a high level of pediculicidal and ovicidal activity, and clinical efficacy and safety, of a brief application of a new dimeticone-based product. The short application time and reduced risk for the development of resistance are key drivers for improved patients’ compliance. Trial registration EU Clinical Trials Register EudraCT 2016–004635-20. We conducted a controlled clinical trial designed “to test caerulein for tolerability and effectiveness in post-operative patients recovering from abdominal surgery. The test product was administered 24 hours after surgery, by intravenous drip infusion, at the rate of 2 nanograms/kg/minute. The results were compared with parallel observations made in a matched group of patients receiving no drugs or manipulation likely to promote intestinal peristalsis with the exception of the application of a nasogastric tube for aspiration and the water and electrolyte replenishment customary in the post-operative period. The results of this study evince a clear-cut difference between the two groups of patients in regard to the restoration of intestinal peristalsis and the passing of flatus and faeces, as confirmed by statistical analysis (Cochran's test) demonstrating the significant (p<0.01) superiority of caerulein treatment relative to the untreated control group. Likewise, the study revealed the excellent tolerability of the test drug at the dosage employed.

Abstract Enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli (ETEC) is a major cause of diarrhea in piglets. In vitro, high molecular weight β-galactosylated chitosan-oligosaccharides (Gal-COS) had strong anti-adhesive activity against ETEC-expressing K88 fimbriae (ETEC K88) binding to porcine erythrocytes. This study assessed the effects of Gal-COS differing in structure on anti-adhesive properties against ETEC in a small intestinal segment perfusion (SISP) model in 8 piglets (BW 10 kg; 5-wk old). With 10 jejunal segments in each pig, 5 segments were infected with ETEC K88, and the other 5 segments were infused with saline (non-ETEC). Every 2 paired segments (ETEC or non-ETEC) from the same pig were treated for 8 h with 64 ml of 10 g L-1 of one of the following test products: 1) α-Gal-COS; 2) β-Gal-COS; 3) exopolysaccharides produced by Lactobacillus reuteri; and 4) raffinose in a double 4 × 4 Latin square with a saline control. Infection by ETEC K88 was verified by quantitative PCR. Net fluid loss was calculated as difference of fluid loss between ETEC segment and its paired non-ETEC segment. Data were analyzed using the mixed model with segment and test product as fixed effects, and pig as random effect. Number of eubacterial rRNA genes was 10-fold greater (P < 0.001) in ETEC segments than non-ETEC segments, indicating that ETEC K88 accounted for > 90% of bacterial gene counts. Test product did not affect (P > 0.10) the number of ETEC bacteria in the outflow fluid. Furthermore, net fluid loss caused by ETEC tended (P = 0.08) to be decreased by β-Gal-COS compared to all other treatments. In conclusion, the in vivo SISP model confirmed that Gal-COS had anti-diarrheal effects, indicating that β-Gal-COS is a potential feed additive to reduce the ETEC-induced diarrhea in piglets.

Abstract Many clinical studies have evaluated the effect of probiotics, but only a few have assessed their dose effects on gut microbiota and host. We conducted a randomized, double-blind, controlled intervention clinical trial to assess the safety (primary endpoint) of and gut microbiota response (secondary endpoint) to the daily ingestion for 4 weeks of two doses (1 or 3 bottles/day) of a fermented milk product (Test) in 96 healthy adults. The Test product is a multi-strain fermented milk product, combining yogurt strains and probiotic candidate strains Lactobacillus paracasei subsp. paracasei CNCM I-1518 and CNCM I-3689 and Lactobacillus rhamnosus CNCM I-3690. We assessed the safety of the Test product on the following parameters: adverse events, vital signs, hematological and metabolic profile, hepatic, kidney or thyroid function, inflammatory markers, bowel habits and digestive symptoms. We explored the longitudinal gut microbiota response to product consumption and dose, by 16S rRNA gene sequencing and functional contribution by shotgun metagenomics. Safety results did not show any significant difference between the Test and Control products whatever the parameters assessed, at the two doses ingested daily over a 4-week-period. Probiotic candidate strains were detected only during consumption period, and at a significantly higher level for the three strains in subjects who consumed 3 products bottles/day. The global structure of the gut microbiota as assessed by alpha and beta-diversity, was not altered by consumption of the product for four weeks. A zero-inflated beta regression model with random effects (ZIBR) identified a few bacterial genera with differential responses to test product consumption dose compared to control. Shotgun metagenomics analysis revealed a functional contribution to the gut microbiome of probiotic candidates.
