I propose a close reading on two critical interventions about crime fiction in Argentina: “Estado policial y novela negra argentina” (1991) by José Pablo Feinmann and “Para una reformulación del género policial argentino” (2006) by Carlos Gamerro. Beyond the time difference between the two, I observe aspects in common. Both texts elaborate a corpus of writers and fictions; propose an interpretative guide between the literary and the political-social series; maintain a specific interest in the relationship between crime fiction and police; and elaborate figures of enunciators who serve both as theorists of the genre and as writers of fiction. Among these four dimensions, the one that particularly interests me here is the third, since it allows me to investigate the link that is assumed between “detective fiction” and “police institution”. My conclusion is twofold: on the one hand, in both essays predominates a reductionist vision of the genre, since a kind of necessity is emphasized in the representation of the social order; on the other, its main objective seems to lie in intervening directly on the definitions of the detective fiction in Argentina (and, on this point, both texts acquire an undoubtedly prescriptive nuance).

Abstract This article arises as a proposal in view of the need to evaluate the scientific competences promoted by teachers of the subject of physics at the level of basic secondary and secondary technical education. A valid questionnaire was designed from the application of scalar analysis, factorial analysis and content analysis, which is composed of 49 items evaluated by means of a Likert scale with five levels of response. It was applied in a sample of 249 students enrolled in a public educational institution during 2019, characterized by their good results in the area of physics in state tests. The results allowed the identification of strengths in the four dimensions proposed by the Ministerio de Educación Nacional, Colombia (pedagogical, didactic, disciplinary and behavioural), in contrast with some weaknesses within which the evaluation process stands out as the one with the greatest impact, since the students state that this process is assumed by the teacher as a mechanism of pressure and control. When investigating the teachers in a complementary way, positions were determined that were totally opposite to those held by the students, then it is suggested for future research to consider both the students and the teachers as informants and a supervision of the students’ notes as the end of triangulating the results to refine the conclusions, on which future improvement plans will depend.

3D printing is the important part of the emerging industry, and the accurate prediction of technology hot spots (THS) in the 3D printing industry is crucial for the strategic technology planning. The patents of the THS are always in the minority and have outlier characteristics, so the existing single and rigid models cannot accurately and robustly predict the THS. In order to make up for the shortcomings of the existing research, this study proposes a model for robust composite attraction indicator (MRCAI), which avoids the impact of outlier patents on prediction accuracy depending on not only extracting the patent attraction indicators (AIs) but also constructing the robust composite attraction indicator (CAI) according to the rough consensus of predicted results of CAIs with high generalization. Specifically, firstly, this study selects the patent AIs from the four dimensions of the attraction: technology group attraction, state attraction, enterprise attraction and inventor attraction. Secondly, in order to completely describe the attraction features of patent, AIs are directly and indirectly integrated into CAIs. Thirdly, we reduce the influence of outlier patents on prediction accuracy from two aspects: on the one hand, we initially select the CAIs with good generalization performance based on the prediction error fluctuation range. On the other hand, we build the robust CAIs by calculating the consensus of CAIs with high generalization performance based on the rough set. Fourthly, the 3D printing industry technology attention matrix is constructed to map the effective technology strategic planning based on predicted patent backward citation count by MRCAI in the short, medium and long term. Finally, the experimental results on 3D printing patent data show that MRCAI can effectively improve the efficiency in dealing with samples with outlier patents and has strong flexibility and robustness in predicting the THS in 3D printing industry.

Motivated by the seminal work of Schwinger, we obtain explicit closed-form expressions for the one-loop effective action in a constant electromagnetic field. We discuss both massive and massless charged scalars and spinors in two, three and four dimensions. Both strong-field and weak-field limits are calculable. The latter limit results in an asymptotic expansion whose first term reproduces the Euler-Heinsenberg effective Lagrangian. We use the prescription of zeta-function renormalization, and indicate its relationship to Schwinger’s renormalized effective action.

Through transformational leadership, pesantren are able to make institutional changes to achieve success. Because this leadership style can build a strong organizational culture for the effectiveness of Islamic education in pesantren. Therefore, KHMA in PNIA is very effective in carrying out the construction of pesantren culture and shapes the behavior of all pesantren human resources. Therefore, this research uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological type; which aims to identify and analyze the kiai's transformational leadership style in building an organizational culture in pesantren. The theoretical framework used to analyze the dynamics of the kiai's leadership is the paradigm of Bass & Riggio. He divided the four dimensions of transformational leadership, i.e: idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual motivation, and individual consideration. This research found KHMA constructs pesantren culture by taking from the thoughts of ulama' salaf which are contained in the book of salaf -which is commonly called Kitab Kuning. On the one hand, the effectiveness of KHMA's self-leadership in PNIA is also inseparable from the normative doctrinal values of Islam, so that the kiai's leadership style is based on Islamic values. The implication is that the construction of organizational culture ranging from a philosophical framework to the practical values of pesantren needs to be bound by the basis of social-religious transformation. Keywords: Transformational Leadership, Kiai, and Organizational culture

This article discusses the idea of a hospitable church that struggles under the sacred canopy of the state, especially in the Indonesian context. By using Stanley Hauerwas’ social ethics and ecclesiology that views the church as an exemplary community, this article proposes an ecclesial model that maintains the tension of being true to its nature on the one hand and being political on the other hand. Such a model is demonstrated through its four dimensions: beholding, becoming, belonging, and befriending. The paper ends with a conclusion, in which the author reflects on the four dimensions by using the perspective of the four classical marks of the church (notae ecclesiae).

Efforts are being made in many educational settings to find out the most effective ways of assuring quality of the teaching and learning process. In the framework of continuous reformation of the education system in Albania, many initiatives have been taken aiming at improving the quality of the teaching and learning process WHERE?? IN THE AREA OF???? . Several ambitious projects have been piloted. One of them is related to setting the teaching and learning process in a pragmatic global context. This project was piloted in some areas of Albania. It aimed at applying some new principles of teaching and learning by simultaneously setting teaching and learning in four dimensions: that of time (present, past, future), space, problems (environment, human rights, etc.) and internal. Teaching was based on the use of interactive, all inclusive techniques and strategies. As a result, the interactive profile of the teacher is strengthened and the quality of students’ learning has improved as well. This project is supported by the Institute of Global Education in Canada This article brings a picture of the impacts of this initiative, which are related with the best student outcomes, change of values and attitudes about life, new approaches for the world and the active participation in important social roles. This pilot work has led to a new objective, namely the one of establishment of a new teacher profile in the global area and of the new roles it should take in the course of both teaching and learning. Data and thoughts of teachers and students related to such findings are described in the current article. Key words: dimensions, Global Education, new pilot, principles, quality.

The publication of a new service book of the reformed and Lutheran churches in the Netherlands, and of a new liturgical handbook, have given the science of liturgy in that country a new impulse. The development of the discipline is focused on a cultural-anthropological perspective as well as on a reflection of the discipline in itself. In this article, two illustrating examples of four dimensions in this dynamism are given. The four dimensions are then discussed. These four dimensions are: 1. the popularity of rituals and symbols; 2. the interference of different systems of meaning; 3. the restoration of the two domains of art and liturgy into the one domain of imagination; and 4. the (sometimes radical) recontextualisation of liturgy. These dimensions of liturgy are all tendencies in the dynamism of cult and culture, and to understand them, it is necessary to use cultural-anthropological methods in the science of liturgy.

We propose to find the model of relationship between Transformational Leadership and university management. The Inventory of Leadership Practices form was used (LPI) and an University Management (UG) scale, which consists of four dimensions: Research , Teaching, Extension and Support , which were applied to managers of 31 universities in Colombia. For method for identifying the relationship model between global indicator university management and dimensions associated with transformational leadership a multiple regression model was developed, furthermore, in order to eliminate subjectivities we utilized the transformation test of ordinal scales in a new scale Type Ridit until reaching the results.Among the main findings, we find that there is a model of direct and positive relationship between the Transformational Leadership and the University Management, and that the Enabling dimension to act in Transformational Leadership is the one which has the greatest impact in the management.

The purpose of this contribution is to present a general survey of darkness as power in the New Testament. It is generally accepted that darkness functions on a symbolic-metaphorical level on the one hand and on a literal level on the other hand. The former receives attention in this study where darkness is almost exclusively connected with the domain of power of the evil. The issue of darkness is investigated from four dimensions (1) as an opposing power to light in a dualistic worldview, (2) as a ruling power with a grip on death and the grave, (3) as a power of the evil and the struggle for liberation and (4) as a symbol and instrument of judgement of God in an apocalyptic worldview, with darkness eventually becoming the condemned. It is concluded that there seems to be at least two New Testament perceptions regarding the position of darkness as power: The domain of evil’s darkness is located in the ‘underworld’, but gradually this view changed to also include a space in the layers of heaven above the earth. Earthlings found themselves in the midst of the struggle between Belial and Christ – the latter who finally conquers the power of darkness and now rules above the dark forces of evil.
