AbstractCystic hygroma is considered a disease of childhood. It may appear for the first time in adult life but recurrence by that stage is rare and may present difficulties in diagnosis due to previous treatment. The authors present a case where early pharmacological intervention may have prevented a potentially life threatening situation. The world literature is also reviewed.

Caner a dreadful disease is actually one large group of diseases which dates back to times of “Hippocrates”, The Father of Medicine, (460-370BC) who used this name for the first time to talk about non-ulcer and ulcer forming tumors. Theevidence of its presence from the very past history comes from fossilized “Egyptian Mummies” having tumors on bones. Then Galen (130-200 AD) used the term “Oncos” to explain tumors. So it's a disease involving growth of abnormal cells, their proliferation and metastasizing the other tissues and organs. Now we know that biology has a branch namedOncology to deal with the scientific study of cancer and oncogenes. It took centuries to get knowledge and use modern technologies against this malady. Now we know cancer is a group disease which has hundreds of types. 19th Century saw much advancement towards its cure. Along with surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy were the main methods to cure cancer patients. Day by day, scientists are looking for new methods to control and cure of this curse. Hundreds of natural medicinal compounds are being tested to use clinically for its cure in order to replace the radiotherapy andchemotherapy and lower their side effects. But humanity is still fighting against this disease as the numbers of cases throughout the world are increasing day by day. If we look on the reports p r e s e n t e d b y W H O ( W o r l d H e a l t hOrganization), Cancer is the second leading cause of deaths globally which means one person in every six deaths, dies due to cancer. In 2018, the most common types of cancers reported in men were of liver, prostate, stomach, lung andcolorectal. Whereas in females the most common forms were breast, thyroid, cervical and colorectal. Cancer has become a global disasterfamily of the patient. It imparts physical, emotional and financial crisis. Unfortunately, the condition is bitterer in under developing countries. Cancer has become a lifestyle disease these days. We are living in the world withsuperficial comfort but we are breathing with urbanizations, ozone depletion, exposure to microwave and ultraviolet radiations, hazardous chemicals etc. Moreover, It is becoming a lifestyle disease due to lack of exercise, Obesity, consumptions of drugs, tobacco and alcohols. The cases of cancers are reported more in urban areas than in rural areasmore likely due to above mentioned factors. The ratio of cancer patients is expected to raise up-to 27.5 million by 2040 globally. So the battle is never ending, Humans need to figure out the factors and cutting these from their lives in orderto live a healthy life which is a blessing indeed. which is not only crunching the cancer patient but it also has damaging effects on the whole

AbstractA case was reported of a fetus with the anomaly of limb body wall complex associated with placenta accreta. To date, only one account of this condition has been published in the world literature. Due to the low frequency of both complications, the hypothesis has been raised that this association may have happened not by mere coincidence, but rather by a possible common etiopathogenic mechanism. For the first time, a study proposes the existence of a possible etiopathogenic connection between the anomaly of limb body wall complex and hypoxic disorders caused by inadequate placentation in previous uterine scarring.

Physical appearance is something that is related to psychological stress. Skin is major organ which remains as a presentable material in front of the world which also defines any individuality. Around 20 – 30 % Population suffer from skin ailments. According to study the incidence rate of herpes zoster was highest i.e. 56% at 20 to 40 years of age and from lower socioeconomic strata. These problems vary from age, locality and season. Visarpa is one of the major skin disease which is explained in detail apart from Kusthavyadhi by every Acharya This imparts the severity and significance of disease. Visarpa is characterized by Aashu – anunnatashopha, Daha, Jwara, Vedana and nature of pidika is described as Agnidagdagdavat. Skin disorder vary greatly in symptoms and severity. so they can be temporary or permanent. they can be situational or genetic, minor or mortal. thus, visarpa is one which if mismanaged can lead to life threatening situation. Twak Roga are Chirkari and so recurrent relapse occurs easily. visarpa is bahudoshaj vyadhi.

Ectopic pregnancy described for the first time in the11th Century and later on it was described as pregnancy complication. Ectopic pregnancy is potentially life-threatening and remains the leading cause of maternal death. The incidence of ectopic pregnancy is increased during last years all over the world. Though Laparoscopic surgery is still the cornerstone of treatment in the majority of women, medical management is an alternative treatment option. If the diagnosis of ectopic pregnancy can be made earlier non-invasively, medical treatment with systemic intramuscular Methotrexate (MTX) aimed at reducing mortality, morbidity and reducing costs, minimal intervention/non intervention on comparing with outcomes of surgical treatment. Fertility can be preserved also. Here we presented a case of recurrent ectopic pregnancy with left adnexal mass and stable general condition was treated with MTX successfullyNorthern International Medical College Journal Vol.6(1) 2014: 38-39

The use of the Google Scholar produces about 78,000 hits on the term “Timoshenko beam.” The question of priority is of great importance for this celebrated theory. For the first time in the world literature, this study is devoted to the question of priority. It is that Stephen Prokofievich Timoshenko had a co-author, Paul Ehrenfest. It so happened that the scientific work of Timoshenko dealing with the effect of rotary inertia and shear deformation does not carry the name of Ehrenfest as the co-author. In his 2002 book, Grigolyuk concluded that the theory belonged to both Timoshenko and Ehrenfest. This work confirms Grigolyuk’s discovery, in his little known biographic book about Timoshenko, and provides details, including the newly discovered letter of Timoshenko to Ehrenfest, which is published here for the first time over a century after it was sent. This paper establishes that the beam theory that incorporates both the rotary inertia and shear deformation as is known presently, with shear correction factor included, should be referred to as the Timoshenko-Ehrenfest beam theory.

Scorpion bite represents a significant and serious public health problem in certain regions of Brazil, as well as in other parts of the world. Inflammatory mediators are thought to be involved in the systemic and local immune response induced byTityus serrulatusscorpion envenomation. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of extracts ofMimosa tenuifloraon model envenomation. In mice, the envenomation model is induced byTityus serrulatusvenom. Previous treatment of mice with fractions fromM. tenuiflorawas able to suppress the cell migration to the peritoneal cavity. The treatment of mice withM. tenuifloraextracts also decreased the levels of IL-6, IL-12, and IL-1β. We concluded that the administration of the extract and fractions resulted in a reduction in cell migration and showed a reduction in the level of proinflammatory cytokines. This study demonstrates, for the first time, the anti-inflammatory effect of aqueous extract from theMimosa tenuifloraplant onT. serrulatusvenom.

Rare side effects of already known chemotherapy drugs are a difficult case for clinician. In this article, there is a description of 15 cases of the development of methemoglobinemia after the use of ifosfamide and cyclophosphamide in the therapy of acute lymphoblastic leukemia and Burkitt lymphoma. And when ifosfamide-induced methemoglobinemia is already described in the world literature as a form of isolated cases, cyclophosphamide-induced one is presented for the first time in this article in our (domestic) clinical practice. Both pathophysiological basis and inducer drugs are described in the article in detail. Special attention is paid to hereditary variants of methemoglobinemia and to possible combinations of hereditary and drug-induced variants. Clinical and laboratory criteria for the methemoglobinemia diagnosis and corresponding treatment recommendations are provided by the authors.
