In this paper I want to present a practical descriptive approach to the semantics of grammatical categories, especially of the binary type involving two forms only. In doing so, I hope to be able to attract the attention of linguists concerned with the structure of a comprehensive semantic theory of human language. Substitutional relations of a grammatical kind (as opposed to syntactic and lexical relations) are too often neglected in textbooks on modern semantics. For example, in Ruth Kempson's otherwise excellent introduction to semantic theory (Kempson, 1977), there is no mention of the semantics of grammatical categories at all. In my view, not only must such Substitutional relations be accommodated within a total theory of semantics – even on a narrow definition of the discipline – but they may provide important insights into the nature of meaning which will affect some of the current suppositions in semantic theory. In particular I shall attempt to shed light on the role of ‘subjectivity’ – a notion which is becoming increasingly difficult to ignore and which challenges the very common restriction among semanticists of the scope of semantics to just a truth-conditional component.

Reconsideration is one of the methods of extraordinary objection to the final judgments, i.e. those that have acquired the authority of the res judicata and become unobjectionable by appeal or cassation, and it is one of the regular means granted to litigants by virtue of which they can file a lawsuit for the damage they have suffered as a result of a judgment or decision. In their interest, and in this sense, it is a license granted by the system to the litigants to show the defects of the judgment issued in the case and to demand the competent judiciary to cancel it or amend it in a way that removes its defects. Some laws and regulations in Arab countries call it reconsideration, others petition, and the other retrial. With these different names, it became clear to the researcher, after studying these means, especially in the statutory reasons and justifications that their existence requires to object accordingly to reconsider a decision or a judicial ruling issued in the interest of the objector to obtain a decision or a judicial ruling in his favor, and he found that there is a problem in some of them, which It lies in the fact that only the litigants have the right to use it, so no objection is accepted from another person who is not a party to the lawsuit. Therefore, the researcher in this study will shed light on it through the use of the inductive and descriptive approach in order to show its importance in achieving judicial justice, which guarantees the litigants to resolve the dispute between them by reconsidering the final ruling, in order to arrive at a new ruling that expresses the desired truth, and he divided it into two sections, The first is a definition of the concept of reviewing the system of criminal procedures and its legal nature, and the second of the reasons for which litigants may request a review of the system of criminal procedures based on the final rulings and the legal nature of these reasons.

Since 2008, the year of the impact of the financial and economic crisis in Europe, many decisional processes have been subjected to a progressive re-nationalization tendency. The last reforms of EU Cohesion Policy have included some measures—the definition of the plans and the allocation process of the funds through national programmes and the thematic concentration—that are considered the expression of the centralization of powers and competencies that challenge the whole complex system of governance relations in Europe. These centralized trends impacted the territorial governance, the place-based approach to regional development, and the role of regions in policy making itself. This chapter aims to shed light on a specific historical period in which it has been experimented a declining support for territorial approaches in European policy making by presenting a complete definition of concept of territorial governance and by deeply discussing the theoretical framework in which regions have started to activate themselves and to participate to decisional processes at European level.

The study aimed at uncovering the role of the lexicon in establishing the concept of citizenship. Where two methods of contemporary language courses were used: The descriptive approach by describing the manifestations of the lexicon of the principles that fuel the feelings of national belonging among the people of the language. The second is lexical criticism. The research consists of two chapters: the first is the definition of significance in the Arabic dictionary, the second is the term of citizenship, its origin and meaning, and the third is the requirements of the new lexicon. And the second section of the homeland and citizenship in the contemporary and basic, and includes the demands of four: the first root (و ط ن), the second - the terms of common terminology, and the third - the formulation of the definition in the lexicons, and IV - supporting examples of citizenship. The study concluded that the studied lexicons contain many information with a national flavor, although one of them is not present in the previous dictionaries, with a clear effort, in which the modern lexicological industries are realized and the meaning of the fact that the individual belongs to one country without another and has his loyalty on the other , As well as the existence of educational inputs related to participation and real effectiveness.

This chapter offers a narrative retelling of the Iliad, followed by a discussion of the story's themes and emphases, and their importance for modern societies confronting the same issues. The Iliad cultivates the audience's capacity for critical reflection and rational judgment. It emphasizes the role of human choices from the outset, thus exposing the problem that rage poses for the community. The confrontation between Agamemnon and Achilles, their obsession with honor, their short fuses and willingness to indulge their own anger will have adverse effects for the community that has chosen to honor them. Homer's narrative reveals the inadequacy of vengeance and hints that empathy better serves an individual's self-interest. Above all, the Iliad calls into question the characters' narrow definition of great achievement as success in warfare.

This article addresses the role the Word-Acaid Philosophy plays in directing or guiding human behaviour in all situations and circumstances.   It discusses the origin of the philosophy when I asked myself the following question:  “Why do I do what I do when I do what I do?”  This question led me to carefully self-examine to discover the reason for my behaviours. Once the philosophy was crafted, I observed that all other human beings seem to go through the same process. The philosophy did not originate as a formal study.  However, in this article I did a systematic study on the concepts to verify the initial propositions.  In order to achieve my goal a formal study was done using a descriptive approach to explicate the modus operandi of the philosophy with a view of understanding its nature and the role each of the essential elements plays.  A conceptual analysis method was used focusing on the definition of key concepts. It was conclusively found that each concept played a significant role in driving human behaviour in every situation. The findings’ implications are very significant to trainers, coaches, educators and all whose goal is to affect human beings towards particular exit outcomes.  The findings made it very simple also for me to deductively conclude that the philosophy is a system and is valid.

AbstractRecent discussions on Fregean and neo-Fregean foundations for arithmetic and real analysis pay much attention to what is called either ‘Application Constraint’ ($AC$) or ‘Frege Constraint’ ($FC$), the requirement that a mathematical theory be so outlined that it immediately allows explaining for its applicability. We distinguish between two constraints, which we, respectively, denote by the latter of these two names, by showing how$AC$generalizes Frege’s views while$FC$comes closer to his original conceptions. Different authors diverge on the interpretation of$FC$and on whether it applies to definitions of both natural and real numbers. Our aim is to trace the origins of$FC$and to explore how different understandings of it can be faithful to Frege’s views about such definitions and to his foundational program. After rehearsing the essential elements of the relevant debate (§1), we appropriately distinguish$AC$from$FC$(§2). We discuss six rationales which may motivate the adoption of different instances of$AC$and$FC$(§3). We turn to the possible interpretations of$FC$(§4), and advance a Semantic$FC$(§4.1), arguing that while it suits Frege’s definition of natural numbers (4.1.1), it cannot reasonably be imposed on definitions of real numbers (§4.1.2), for reasons only partly similar to those offered by Crispin Wright (§4.1.3). We then rehearse a recent exchange between Bob Hale and Vadim Batitzky to shed light on Frege’s conception of real numbers and magnitudes (§4.2). We argue that an Architectonic version of$FC$is indeed faithful to Frege’s definition of real numbers, and compatible with his views on natural ones. Finally, we consider how attributing different instances of$FC$to Frege and appreciating the role of the Architectonic$FC$can provide a more perspicuous understanding of his foundational program, by questioning common pictures of his logicism (§5).

The function of female germline stem cells (FGSCs, also called oogonial stem cells) in the adult mammalian ovary is currently debated in the scientific community. As the evidence to support or discard the possible crucial role of this new class of germ cells in mammals has been extensively discussed, in this review, we wonder which could be their origin. We will assume that FGSCs are present in the post-natal ovaries and speculate as to what origin and characteristics such cells could have. We believe that the definition of these features might shed light on future experimental approaches that could clarify the ongoing debate.

The study aimed to shed light on the manifestations of mercy in women's social rights in Islam and see the situation of women in ancient civilizations. This study belongs to the pattern of studies estimating the situation based on the analytical inductive approach. It is one of the most important methods of scientific research, and the inductive approach relies on scientific observation, whereby texts and opinions related to the social rights of women are traced and then analyzed and inferring aspects of mercy in them in order to reach a complete perception of this study. The results of the study showed that the Islamic religion is the only one that strengthened the position of women, honored them, and gave them all their rights completely in a way that suits her natural fit compared to the situation of women in other civilizations. The researcher concluded that compassion is a basic principle with all the meanings of charity and softness away from the hardship in our true religion. The features of mercy were represented by the woman’s sense of psychological comfort and her sense of being and existence, giving her the right to self-determination like the right to choose a husband. These rights are based on stability and harmony, which contribute to the family achieving its goals. The study reached a set of conclusions, the most prominent of which is the definition of the landmarks of mercy in all areas related to women in our true religion, holding international conferences and symposia to be a tool for advocating the religion of God and working to make Muslim women aware of their rights and duties by educating spouses and everyone who is about to build a family in order to build informed and healthy Islamic societies, and activating the role of Muslim women and protecting their rights from being swept away in the current of Western culture

Abstract. Thyroid hormones play an important role in body homeostasis by facilitating metabolism of lipids and glucose, regulating metabolic adaptations, responding to changes in energy intake, and controlling thermogenesis. Proper metabolism and action of these hormones requires the participation of various nutrients. Among them is zinc, whose interaction with thyroid hormones is complex. It is known to regulate both the synthesis and mechanism of action of these hormones. In the present review, we aim to shed light on the regulatory effects of zinc on thyroid hormones. Scientific evidence shows that zinc plays a key role in the metabolism of thyroid hormones, specifically by regulating deiodinases enzymes activity, thyrotropin releasing hormone (TRH) and thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) synthesis, as well as by modulating the structures of essential transcription factors involved in the synthesis of thyroid hormones. Serum concentrations of zinc also appear to influence the levels of serum T3, T4 and TSH. In addition, studies have shown that Zinc transporters (ZnTs) are present in the hypothalamus, pituitary and thyroid, but their functions remain unknown. Therefore, it is important to further investigate the roles of zinc in regulation of thyroid hormones metabolism, and their importance in the treatment of several diseases associated with thyroid gland dysfunction.
