The Psychosocial Committee is to be commended for its report on the pediatrician and divorce in the July issue of Pediatrics. I would like to add the following: The role of the pediatrician should extend well beyond the divorce and immediate adjustment process. Firstly, there should be greater involvement between both the pediatrician and the Family Court system to help prevent misplacement of the child in custody decisions. (I believe that various groups within the American Academy of Pediatrics are already working with judicial/legal groups to bring to them a greater knowledge of child development and mental health).

The article examines the cross-cultural characteristics of the practices of upbringing and child-parent relations within the concept of "cultural niche" of child development (Super and Harkness) and the differentiation of two types of cultures - individualistic and collectivistic (Triandis, Hofstede), differing in values, goals and methods of education. The relativity of their opposition is shown in relation to the problem of child-parent relations and the upbringing of the child. Universal characteristics of child-parent relations (acceptance/rejection) are singled out. The role of the personal characteristics of the parent and the character of the social environment as a determinant, mediating the practices of upbringing and socialization are discussed.

The child's personality can be supported through the main role of the family. the family also has a role in monitoring and providing supervision of children's growth and development, so that if this role is inadequate then the child's growth and development will not be monitored properly and disturbances that can occur cannot be identified and overcome early on. COVID-19, of course, requires the role of the family to fulfill health needs, fulfill adequate nutrition, and provide proper care. Methods: The assistance provided by the researcher is providing counseling and practice on evaluating the stimulation practices that have been carried out, providing feedbacks, and teaching stimulation practices for those aged above. Stimulation of Early Intervention Detection of Child Development is an activity to stimulate the basic abilities of children aged 0-6 years so that children grow and develop optimally, as well as to find deviations early to make intervention easier. Results: Through PKM activities, children's growth and development, the worst conditions of child growth deviations such as malnutrition can be prevented, because before a child falls into a condition of malnutrition, growth deviations that occur in children can be detected through PKM activities. Abstract  Marriage is a sunnatullah for Muslims with one of its aims to develop Islam at the quantitative level. But the development of Islam qualitatively must also get the attention of various groups (parents, society, and government). Highlighting the importance of the role of parents in children's education as one of the closest figures to children, they need to understand how Islam provides concrete examples in educating children. The role of the family in assisting children to reach the stages of their social-intellectual development requires to be following the educational models contained in the Qur'an (such as Lukman's letter) and also the sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad SAW. Golden age (early age) child development needs to get soft touches of education from both parents, without using physical or psychological violence to create generations of great future Muslims.

Recent evidence emphasizes the interconnectedness of different aspects of young children’s development, the variability of development, and the way that it unfolds in the context of the family. This chapter describes the role of primary prevention in promoting child development, particularly the cognitive aspects of child development. Parental awareness about child development is central to any child health programme. Professionals have a key role in providing appropriate information about child development to families and also in mediating what is available on the Internet. This highlights the need for regular monitoring with a common understanding of development across professionals and the use of appropriate outcomes which are meaningful to parents. A range of different interventions have been tested, many with positive results, but effective service delivery needs to be multifaceted and systemic. The outcome of promoting early child development should be seen in terms of improving school readiness, and enhancing children’s well-being.
