Cricket is the most popular game at present not in only in India but also in the Indian Subcontinent. The controversies and the ups and downs of the willow game have been the subject of discussion by the cricket chroniclers and the lovers of the game in times gone by. The present study aims at examining the level of motivation among players, nature and role of cooperation from academic institutions such as the college or the university, from the family, need for a different academic course structure for players and fairness in the selection process. Using the information through a sample of 320 student cricketers, the role of the University of Delhi in nurturing the talent and producing some outstanding cricketers of national and international levels has been probed. Absence of trainers along with commensurate infrastructure seems to be the bane in developing top cricketers in the Colleges and the Universities. Forced to give major part of their time to the sport, it is tough for the sportspersons to focus on academics. Continuous training and travel with consequent missed classes makes it tough to secure good credits in class attendance and internal assessment which results in adverse performance in semester examinations. The sports centric curriculum and sufficient credit for performance in sports with adequate, flexible teaching schedules, improved training and sports infrastructure in colleges and the universities in India can only raise the standard of cricket and other sports.

The present study focuses on families of Indian immigrants. The subjects in question come from the state of Panjab and have a Sikh religion.  Purpose of the study is to show the linguistic and sociocultural conditions that the Indian preschoolers experience in their family life in Greece. As long as the family is the basic area of the children’ socialization, the culture that the children experience in their family environment specifies the linguistic and cultural background when they start attending the Greek preschool. The data of the case-study in question were gathered through the interviews given by eleven parents of the preschoolers and three kindergarten teachers. What the data analysis has shown is a tendency of linguistic and sociocultural separation of the families from the dominant language and culture. This separation has a direct impact on the children’ adaptation at school. The tendency that the analysis has shown is related to the desire of the family to preserve the ethnocultural and religious identity of their country and is increased due to the restricted role of the woman inside the family and the community. It is also supported by the social role that the temple built by the Indian community at Rethymno plays.

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the internalization of religious values through extracurricular activities of Islamic spirituality at SMPN 47 Surabaya. This research is a descriptive qualitative case study type. The results showed that the process of internalizing religious values through extracurricular activities of Islamic spirituality includes the values of faith, sharia, and morals using exemplary methods, habituation, supervision, advice and punishment. The activities include: giving examples of Muslim dress, getting students used to praying in the Duha and Asr congregations, getting students to perform Friday prayers, pondok romadhon, zakat fitrah / maal, commemoration of the Prophet Muhammad SAW's birthday, and istighosah. The internalization process goes through three stages, namely value transformation, value transaction, and value transinternalization. The internalization process is supported by harmonious cooperation with fellow teachers, most students come from religious families and the availability of infrastructure needed by students. To be more effective, the authors recommend several things: First, there must be synergy between teachers and parents so that efforts to internalize Islamic religious values are sustainable in the family environment. Second, there needs to be periodic evaluation, so that the advantages and disadvantages can be identified precisely.
