The issues of implementation of the project "Engineering class in Moscow school" are discussed. The results of the pre-professional examination in three areas of training are presented, the low level of pre-professional knowledge was noted. The research course of solving applied problems of engineering practice with the use of modern software has not been studied. Based on the analysis of the results of pre-professional examinations in the areas of research, technology and programming, conclusions about the weak information support of the project and the unwillingness of school graduates to expand the fields of training are obtained.

Farmers' objectives, their circumstances and the constraints they face are central to any consideration of ways and means of improving farming systems. The management, research and extension, and policy needs of the farmers attending this workshop were diverse. This appeared to be linked with the (unexpected) degree of diversity in the business objectives and management structures on these farms. More formal research on these issues across the spectrum of farmers is required to ensure that research and technology transfer meet the industry's needs. As the development of research technology on Digital Image Processing continues to grow. Likewise, the improvement of the quality of sharpness / subtlety of the Gorga Batak images is an important thing to improve. This is one of the ways to preserve the Batak tribe area so that Gorga-gorga are still remembered and more interpreted. The cause of the need to be improved is the image of Gorga Batak is caused by several factors that cause the image to be less beautiful if it is interpreted by human beings such as the shape has been blurred (dark) due to shooting / shooting, has noise black spots on the image (noise), and the color is dull out of date. As an effort to improve image, the segmentation process is carried out by doing edge detection on the image, then the Morphological Operation Method will be implemented as one of the methods in Digital Image Processing that implements image quality improvement based on the shape and structure of the image. In this image processing, the Dilation Operation Technique and Operation Technique will be carried out. In Operation Dilation Techniques works by adding several segments (pixels) in the image so as to increase the integrity / sharpness of the structure of the image. While the Erosion Operation Technique will reduce / refine unnecessary parts / segments of the image so that the resulting image looks smoother, so that it can be more interpreted by humans and can be reused both as documentation of regional culture and so on. Using this method is expected to be able to improve and improve the quality / sharpness of Citra Gorga Batak. Background: Grape (Vitis viniferaL.) is consumed by old world populations in its natural form and is used to produce wine or juice. Currently, China is the largest grape producer in the world. The red grapes stand out because of their phytochemical composition, more specifically their high resveratrol levels. Resveratrol is a compound that has a number of different beneficial effects on health and is mainly used in the food and cosmetic industries. Grape peel is a waste product and new strategies based on nanotechnology can minimize its environmental impact and add value to this residue. Objectives: The first objective of this study was to evaluate the technological potential of utilizing grape peel by researching and analyzing information extracted from patent documents filed worldwide in order to identify the main countries that hold the research technology, the main depositors and inventors, and the main areas of application. The second aim was to research and investigate grape peel products that have been created using nanotechnology. Methods: An analysis of all patented documents related to grape peel processes, products, or different industrial applications that may use nanotechnology was carried out. This was achieved by undertaking a Derwent Innovation Index (DII) database search. Results: A total of 752 patent documents were identified in the surveyed area. These were assessed for depositor country of origin, type of depositor, inventors, evolution of deposits over time, and areas of application. Only 6% of the total represented products and processes in the nanotechnology area. There was a growth in the number of patent filings from 2015, which showed that the researched area is a current and developing technology with new application possibilities. The main depositing countries were China, the United States, and Japan, which dominate the researched technology. The identified documents discussed using grape peel to develop new food, medical and dental products. Conclusion: Over the last few years, different approaches have been suggested for the production of nanoproducts based on grape peel. The results from this study showed that although incipient, nanotechnology is a promising area of research that can be explored by universities and companies because the products could have significant positive characteristics and, even though they are made out of a byproduct, have great application potential.

Cyber-Physical Systems (CPSs) are a mature research technology topic that deals with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Embedded Systems (ES). They interact with the physical world via sensors/actuators to solve problems in several applications (robotics, transportation, health, etc.). These CPSs deal with data analysis, which need powerful algorithms combined with robust hardware architectures. On one hand, Deep Learning (DL) is proposed as the main solution algorithm. On the other hand, the standard design and prototyping methodologies for ES are not adapted to modern DL-based CPS. In this paper, we investigate AI design for CPS around embedded DL. The main contribution of this work is threefold: (1) We define an embedded DL methodology based on a Multi-CPU/FPGA platform. (2) We propose a new hardware design architecture of a Neural Network Processor (NNP) for DL algorithms. The computation time of a feed forward sequence is estimated to 23 ns for each parameter. (3) We validate the proposed methodology and the DL-based NNP using a smart LIDAR application use-case. The input of our NNP is a voxel grid hardware computed from 3D point cloud. Finally, the results show that our NNP is able to process Dense Neural Network (DNN) architecture without bias.

This review paper examines the possible pathways and possible technologies available that will help the shipping sector achieve the International Maritime Organization’s (IMO) deep decarbonization targets by 2050. There has been increased interest from important stakeholders regarding deep decarbonization, evidenced by market surveys conducted by Shell and Deloitte. However, deep decarbonization will require financial incentives and policies at an international and regional level given the maritime sector’s ~3% contribution to green house gas (GHG) emissions. The review paper, based on research articles and grey literature, discusses technoeconomic problems and/or benefits for technologies that will help the shipping sector achieve the IMO’s targets. The review presents a discussion on the recent literature regarding alternative fuels (nuclear, hydrogen, ammonia, methanol), renewable energy sources (biofuels, wind, solar), the maturity of technologies (fuel cells, internal combustion engines) as well as technical and operational strategies to reduce fuel consumption for new and existing ships (slow steaming, cleaning and coating, waste heat recovery, hull and propeller design). The IMO’s 2050 targets will be achieved via radical technology shift together with the aid of social pressure, financial incentives, regulatory and legislative reforms at the local, regional and international level.
