The paper analyzes the changes taking place in recent years in the coal industry of Ukraine and the world and examines measures for innovation in energy. The main goals, challenges and prospects of fair transformation of coal regions are revealed by analyzing the current state of the coal industry of Ukraine and world trends. The instruments of the state policy on providing the fired workers of the coal regions with jobs in case of liquidation / transformation of mines are defined and the alternatives of the policy of promoting the employment of the fired workers for making effective decisions are established. Peculiarities and factors of creation of technological or eco-technological parks on the basis of coal enterprises are studied. It is concluded that one of the effective solutions for the fair transformation of coal regions can be the transformation / transformation of the mine as a state enterprise into a park system by involving energy companies. The implementation of investment projects using the infrastructure of the mine for other activities is promising. Significant work should be done on job creation programs and training / retraining / retraining of workers, design of industrial parks and implementation of innovative projects.

Energy consumption in Saudi Arabia is still almost three times the world average today, and the government is seeking to instill a culture of energy saving in the rising generation. Our research's main objective is to expose young people's explanatory attitude antecedents towards energy saving. Indeed, with reference to the current global context of dwindling resources, it is relevant to identify the levers of action to guide consumers towards socially responsible behavior. A quantitative study among 217 young Saudi Arabians and modeling structural equations highlighted the significant impact of subjective norms, cognitions resulting from awareness campaigns as well as the power of habits and the need to preserve comfort. This research has important implications for a country orienting its strategies towards greater social responsibility.

This chapter reviews global health education and research within a community-oriented framework emphasizing social accountability of these 2 academic spheres. The rationale for this approach is the understanding that in low-, lower-middle–, upper-middle–, and high-income/ resource countries throughout the world, research should be guided by translational steps that ultimately lead to improvement in the care of individuals and contribute to the health of populations locally and globally. Additionally, professional education, profoundly affected by the available environment for clinical training, must display alignment with a valid and socially responsible clinical venue; for example, one based on ethical practice, responsiveness to health needs,1 and broad epidemiological principles of community pediatrics.

Summary Tourism is the fastest growing and one of the most profitable industries in the world, with countless opportunities for the economic development of the regions. One should not view tourism and hospitality as separate concepts, since one can neither exist nor can be sustained without the other. A tourist, besides wanting to see and get to know the attractiveness of a place, wants to be offered a satisfactory level of basic (food, accommodation, transport) and additional (entertainment, recreation, shopping. . ) services which will certainly have an influence on his satisfaction and the desire to return. If we don’t turn to socially responsible behavior, we will lose the conditions for the development of tourism, and therefore a possible basis for social and economic prosperity as a result of such a sustainable tourism. Globalisation also appears as a threat of uniformity of everything that surrounds us, because different societies, economies and cultures are increasingly intertwined and thus endanger the identity of one nation, its customs, folklore and overall cultural creativity.

The article considers the aspects of organizing targeted training of personnel for mining enterprises in the region in the context of its innovative development. Based on the analysis of various approaches to the diversification of the region’s economy, two main ones are identified: process and cluster, a reasonable combination of which can provide the required potential for innovative development of the coal industry and related sectors of the region’s economy. Special emphasis is placed on the training of personnel, without which it is impossible to introduce innovations in all key areas and at the main stages of the activities of coal companies. At the same time, globalization and the emergence of a new digital world and information society have created new perspectives in understanding the essence of adult education, which in the digital economy has its own characteristics, and new approaches are required to solve the problems of training personnel in a high-quality way. In these conditions, the education system appears as a network of active participants with a variety of educational practices, the presence of which is determined by personal and professional needs. It is necessary to ensure the transition from general, technological and algorithmic adult educational practices to unique and individual ones. The point of such a transition is not to discover new ones, but to select individual combinations of existing practices, strategies, and technologies. Individualized selection of sets of practices and educational strategies is becoming the dominant trend in adult education in the modern era. Practical implementation of the considered aspects will allow us to build the educational process in a different way and mutually beneficial interaction of organizations of additional professional education with consumers of educational services, which will ensure the practical implementation of models of harmonization and “economic rebranding” of the resource-intensive region, the creation of an institutional infrastructure for its harmonious development.

The contemporary approaches to the development of territories are considered in the article. It is noted that the integrated European approach to the development of territories is increasingly being applied in Ukraine. The essence of integrated development, the stages of development of the Integrated Development Strategy (Concept Strategy), emphasized that understanding of the role and functions of government and local self-government in the development and implementation of integrated development of territories should be perceived not only as the current management task, but also as social responsibility to the community and society. The key aspects of socially responsible behavior of authorities and local self-government in ensuring integrated development of territories are determined. It is noted that the perception of the fulfillment of its functions as social responsibility will allow to effectively plan and implement the development plans of the territories, compete for investments and the best jobs; use the local resource of the territory to create competitive advantages of the region, provide motivation and the ability of "key players" to use competitive advantages and to cooperate effectively; create and maintain institutions that promote the use of intellectual potential, ongoing modernization and innovation in the region; to ensure the willingness and ability of key institutions to adapt to the challenges of the global economy.

Introduction. The problem of high mortality from cardiovascular diseases is caused, among other things, by asymptomatic atherosclerosis, which proceeds latently for a long time and manifests itself as a serious vascular catastrophe, which is of particular importance for people working at production facilities with difficult and dangerous working conditions. The aim of the study was to assess the risk factors for atherosclerosis and the state of the vascular wall in the workers of the main professions of coal enterprises in the South of Kuzbass.Material and methods. In total, the study included 384 people (men), of whom 266 were the workers in coal mines in the South of Kuzbass and 118 people who were not employed in the coal industry, aged 40 to 55 years. The diagnosis of atherosclerosis was carried out on the ultrasound system “Vivid E9” of the manufacturing company GE using a linear sensor for measuring the thickness of the intima-media complex and visualization of atherosclerotic plaques. To identify significant risk factors, anthropometric, anamnestic data, indices of lipid and carbohydrate metabolism, and the presence of arterial hypertension were studied.Results. Significant differences in the frequency of asymptomatic atherosclerosis in the form of an increase in intima-media thickness by more than 1 mm and / or the presence of atherosclerotic plaques in both groups were not found: 60.2% among the miners and 62.3% among non-coal mining workers (p=0.703); at the same time, the percentage of detection of atherosclerotic plaques in arteries was significantly lower among coal workers — 46.9% versus 60.5% among people in the comparison group (p=0.016). The common risk factors for all examined subjects were arterial hypertension and increased level of glycated hemoglobin; in turn, in coal miners additional risk factors were increased values of low density lipoproteins and waist-hip index, as well as burdened heredity for cardiovascular diseases, and among the individuals not employed in the coal industry it was smoking.Conclusions. The most significant risk factors for atherosclerosis in coal industry workers were arterial hypertension, raised values of glycated hemoglobin, low density lipoproteins and waist-hip index, as well as burdened heredity for cardiovascular diseases. Significant differences in the frequency of asymptomatic atherosclerosis in the form of an increase in the thickness of the intima-media complex of the main arteries and the presence of atherosclerotic plaques in both groups were not established, but the percentage of the detection of atherosclerotic plaques was lower among coal miners. The authors declare no conflict of interests.
