The purpose of this study is to explore the landscape quality of aquatic plants in the landscape water in Wuhan, reveal the rules of its construction, and provide some basis for landscape design and evaluation of aquatic plants. Based on the six representative parks in Wuhan, 9 quantitative and qualitative indexes were selected, and the evaluation model was constructed by using the analytic hierarchy process(AHP). The results showed that a total of 36 species of aquatic plants were found, mainly emergent plants. The five research objects are in grade Ⅰ and Ⅱ, and only the aquatic plants in Shahu Park are at the level of level Ⅲ, which indicates that the quality of aquatic plants in the main landscape water of Wuhan is at an excellent level. The evaluation model can objectively be used in the Wuhan landscape water body . Based on the evaluation results, 3 excellent aquatic plant plots are recommended.

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to find out a scientific method to evaluate quality of complex products, whose quality is different from general products. Design/methodology/approach – Based on interval grey number theory, reliability analysis method and stochastic network theory, authors have established grey success tree analysis-graph evaluation and review technique (GSTA-GERT) model in this paper. Findings – Comparing complex products and general products, authors have found that complex products have two characters, i.e. quality of manufacture and quality of service. Furthermore, this paper has proved the GSTA-GERT model is a scientific and reasonable approach to estimate quality of complex products from the sight of manufacture-service network. Originality/value – This paper has established GSTA-GERT model, which surmounts the defect of traditional estimation method, such as lacking logic analysis in the method of analytic hierarchy process.

There are many difficulties in the evaluation of the teaching quality of phys-ical education (PE) in colleges: the evaluation factors are complicated, the evaluation systems are incomplete, and the evaluation methods are not com-prehensive enough. To overcome these difficulties, this paper introduces an-alytic hierarchy process (AHP) to the evaluation of PE teaching quality in colleges. Firstly, the authors identified the influencing factors of PE teaching in colleges today. Next, an index system was established for the evaluation, and an evaluation model was set up based on the AHP and grey system theo-ry (GST). Finally, our method was proved feasible through example analysis. The research results provide new insights on the application of state-of-the-art theories in quality evaluation of higher education.

In recent years, badminton sports have attracted the public and the majority of young students. Badminton training has received extensive attention in the field of sports. However, there is currently no effective and accurate method for effective analysis of badminton training. In order to solve this problem, this paper combines the training teaching theory and the representation training theory and applies the fuzzy algorithm to construct the fuzzy evaluation model based on the analytic hierarchy process. After the experiment, the test scores of the sports quality of the two groups of badminton special students were improved. Through the screening of the seven functional modes of action, it was found that the special students’ left and right symmetry differences were obvious, the lower limbs were not stable, the core area was weak, and the muscle control ability on both sides of the spine needed to be strengthened.

Opinions were sought from a panel of two groups of Malaysian experts, i.e., the urban planners and the Maqasid al-Shariah scholars with the aim of developing an evaluation model via identifying and ranking the Maqasid indicators and sub-indicators for liveability and quality of life in cities. The measurement utilizes the Dharuriyyat (essentials or necessities) dimension of the Maqasid al-Shariah principles based on Al-Shatibi’s School of maslahah which targets public interests and benefits of living in cities. This is supported by Ibn Ashur and contemporarily by Yusuf al-Qaradhawi who emphasize harmony, justice and global peace. The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) has been used as the main method to prioritize the indicators and sub-indicators. The AHP results indicate that religion, life, intellect, lineage and wealth are in descending order of importance, similar to the priorities of the classic Maqasid al-Shariah doctrine. However, the sub-indicators are ranked in terms of priorities based on the consensus of the urban planners and maqasid practitioners which ultimately form the Islamic liveability measurement for cities.

For physical education (PE) in colleges, the evaluation of the teaching quality is affected by various fuzzy and uncertain factors. Therefore, this paper probes deep into the fuzzy evaluation of the teaching quality of college PE, using analytic hierarchy process (AHP), fuzzy system theory and grey theory. Firstly, the factors affecting the teaching quality of college PE were analyzed theoretically, and the keys to improving that teaching quality were clarified. On this basis, the authors established an evaluation index system and a fuzzy evaluation model for the teaching quality of college PE. The proposed fuzzy evaluation model serves an innovative tool to evaluate the teaching quality of college PE. Apart from effective measurement of the teaching quality, the proposed model provides an important reference for improving the teaching quality of college PE.

The employment situation of college graduates is directly related to the future development of college students, affects the role of talents in our socialist modernization construction, and relates to social harmony and stability. Taking the employment quality evaluation of college students as the research object, the paper constructs the employment quality evaluation model of graduates by establishing the evaluation index system. Through the application of AHP and the evaluation model, the employment quality of the graduates of a university in 2018 is evaluated. According to the evaluation results, it is concluded that the quality of employment should be improved from three aspects: strengthening employment guidance education, strengthening professional practice learning and improving students’ comprehensive quality.

Recently, partly as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, companies are increasingly shifting their activities to the Internet environment, thus accelerating the growth of online shopping. The aim of this study was to develop a comprehensive model for the evaluation of websites of wood companies, as a review of the literature shows that such a model does not yet exist. In developing the model, we used an innovative approach and combined the analytic hierarchy process with R-TOPSIS (technique for order of preference by similarity to ideal solution), which is a novelty in this field. For the final website assessment, the Website Quality Index (WQI) was developed. The main difference to other indexes is that our model has a comprehensive content background (36 criteria and sub-criteria) and a strong mathematical basis, so that it can be used to independently evaluate a single website or to evaluate a larger group of websites from the same industry. We have tested the model on 60 websites of Slovenian wood industry companies with at least ten employees. The results show the low to moderate average quality of the websites, with an average WQI of all evaluated websites of 0.450, indicating only an acceptable website. It has proven to be easy to use, and the results show the reliability of the website rating. Additionally, the designed model is an important tool for industry website developers and the basis for future studies in this field. However, it can also be applied to other areas related to wood and wood products, where the performance of objects should be evaluated with respect to multiple criteria.

The quality of human life is linked to the exploitation of mining resources. The Exploitability Index (EI) assesses the actual possibilities to enable a mine according to several factors. The environment is one of the most constraining ones, but its analysis is made in a shallow way. This research is focused on its determination, according to a new preliminary methodology that sets the main components of the environmental impact related to the development of an exploitation of industrial minerals and its weighting according to the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). It is applied to the case of the ophitic outcrops in Cantabria (Spain). Twelve components are proposed and weighted with the AHP and an algorithm that allows for assigning a normalized value for the environmental factor to each deposit. Geographic Information Systems (GISs) are applied, allowing us to map a large number of components of the environmental factors. This provides a much more accurate estimation of the environmental factor, with respect to reality, and improves the traditional methodology in a substantial way. It can be established as a methodology for mining spaces planning, but it is suitable for other contexts, and it raises developing the environmental analysis before selecting the outcrop to be exploited.

As water abundance of aquifer of coal roof significantly influences roof water hazard, evaluating and grading the degree of water abundance are important in practical application. By analyzing the influencing factors of water abundance of aquifer, an evaluation index system and a grading standard for the water abundance were established integrating quantitative and qualitative indexes. Meanwhile, according to the grey relation characteristics of the major factors influencing water abundance, a multi-factor evaluation model for water abundance was constructed based on grey relational analysis and analytic hierarchy process. The model can objectively reveal the influences of the multiple factors on the evaluation of water abundance. Furthermore, the method was verified by comprehensively evaluating the water abundance of the aquifer of coal roof in a working face of Pingshuo Coal Mine in Shanxi, China using the model. The method provides basis for the research on the evaluation of water abundance of aquifer in coal roof.
