With the construction of a large number of affordable housing and the development of green buildings, the design of green affordable housing has become a new concern and research topic in China’s residential architectural design, and the interior design of affordable housing has become a top priority. This article takes Changchun city as an example, through the research of affordable housing in Changchun, visit, found the main problems existing in the status quo, in view of the problems put forward housing interior space design optimization principle, and according to the design principles of indoor space scale, provides a good green indoor living environment for green residential tenants in cold areas.

The relevance of the study is due to new experience in architectural design, new technologies and types of materials and the need to generalize and systematize them to expand the formative possibilities of textiles in the design of residential interiors. Research in the field of interior textile design was carried out by: T.I. Isayeva, Khabibullina, E.V. Zmanovska and others. The purpose of the study is to identify areas, functions and compositional techniques of textiles in residential interiors. The historical reference of development of textile production is resulted. The structural analysis of textiles in the interior by types of textile materials, production technology, types of weave, types of ornaments; identified qualities of textile materials, which determine their widespread use and the main areas of application of textiles in modern residential interiors. According to the results of the research, the main functions of textiles in the interior are revealed: creation of a comfortable microclimate in the room; psychological comfort; space adjustment; visual isolation; protection of surfaces from damage and pollution; hygiene products; decorative; compositional component of interior space design. The description of types of textile wall-paper, curtains is resulted. The compositional function of textiles in the interior is revealed: accent, dominant, background, rhythm. The conclusion is made that at a choice of textiles and reception of placement it is necessary to consider regional natural and climatic conditions; the style decision of an interior is accepted; function, size, orientation on the sides of the horizon of the room; combination of textiles with finishing of surfaces of enclosing designs and subject filling of the room; combination of fabrics in texture, color and pattern; price segment.

While the aim of this study was: to reveal the importance of digital models in the real interior space through a virtual reality, the current research included three sections: The first topic: the variables and their relationships in the design of the interior space, and the second topic: modeling in interior design between reality and simulation, and the third topic: Digital models in interior design, and the research reached a set of conclusions, the most important of which are: 1.Digital models allow the designer, custodians, and people to be able to explore the interior space before designing it. 2.Designers use Digital Prototyping to design, improve, validate and digitally visualize their spaces throughout the design stages. 3. Innovative digital models can be created through creative designs, achieving multiple design goals (best performance, high efficiency, space efficiency, appropriate design cost).

Title: Understanding Interior as a Connector Interior design is a discipline that is very close to the complexities and the needs of human life. However, the intepretation and practice of interior design are often limited to decoration and contents within the physical boundaries of architecture. This paper aims to provide another perspective regarding the concept of interior that is, as a significant connector between humans and their living environment along with architecture, so that the methods and practice of interior design as well as architecture may expand more than what has been observed today. The paper is a result of a qualitative research through literature review and exploration of case studies. Results conclude to several interior and architectural design techniques based on the perception of interior as a ?connector? that could be used, such as the blurring of physical boundaries, programmatic manipulation, innovation of material continuity and configuration of architectural elements into interior elements. Through the physical as well as conceptual manipulation of space, the intepretation of interior design would no longer be limited to the contents within the physical boundaries of architecture but rather a truly important connector along with architecture, between humans and their living environment.

A new challenge is emerging. Contemporary built environment pedagogy demands engagement with both analogue and digital tools for simulation and verification of lit architectural environments. The use of analogue tools within architectural design education grasps onto the historically valued craftsmanship of drawing and physical models to measure, represent and understand our lit environment ambiance. Digital tools can provide efficient, simultaneous and precise verification of lit architectural interior space through 3D computer modelling and calculation software. However, the understanding and representation of daylit scenarios is becoming more numerically complex as lighting metrics and software gain in accuracy and dynamic range. With the majority of easily accessible software tools focussing on numerical verification, the ephemeral ambience that daylight in particular creates in interior architectural spaces is becoming ever more difficult to grasp for the architectural design student and practitioner. This paper seeks to challenge the exclusive use of digital tools for the understanding and representation of lit interiors by proposing that this methodology cultivates design epistemologies that are out of “touch”. Questionnaire findings and workshop studies are presented as pedagogical constructs are proposed inviting physical, experiential learning of lighting principles in collaboration with numerical and digital modes of learning to provide connections and translations to develop through ‘touch’ing light.

Focusing on inhabitant’s climate comfort causes the neglect of personal and aesthetic factors that have effects on emotions and psychological comfort. Blindly adhering to sustainable design principles regardless of the basic architectural design parameters cause similar interior spaces in today’s housing of Iran. Interior space form is one the main design factors that has some effects on inhabitant’s emotions. The application of coloured and optical glass in architecture is of great importance in terms of creating spatial dynamics and uniqueness of space. Dichroic glass is a type of glass coated with a thin layer of metal, which causes the glass surface to change in colour depending on the viewing angle. The colour of the glass depends on the incidence of different wavelengths of light passing through or bouncing off the glass surface, thus creating different effects of colour refraction. Created effects provide different possibilities in the design of buildings and improvements in the aesthetic quality of the interior space. This paper deals with the analysis and application of coloured dichroic glass in architecture and interior design.
