In this article, three books related to power were analyzed: Kitami Masao’s “The Swordless Samurai”, Han Feitzu’s “The Book of Law and Order” and N. Machiavelli’s “The Prince”. The main judgments were highlighted and conclusions were drawn on how each author understands the power. Similar and opposite conclusions were compared. Also, the reasons for the fundamental differences between these ideas are identified. Analysis of differences on a religious basis was made using the modern Agamben's work “The Kingdom and the Glory” as it touches on the relationship between religion and power. The study used an integrated cultural-philosophical approach, in which descriptive method, comparative analysis, and synthesis can be separated from each other. As a result of this work, the following conclusions were obtained: the difference in the functions of power leads to different understanding of power; the religious environment surrounding a person largely influences his understanding of power. Based on this, different concepts of power should be compared to identify common significant positions that demonstrate the nature of power relations.

This chapter evaluates how the presence of the nurse practitioner (NP) does not just signal changes in nursing work; it portends changes in medical work. Although real tensions exist between nurses and physicians, broadly speaking, they have worked collegially alongside one another for well over a century. This collegiality has endured despite significant changes in what both physicians and nurses do for patients. Its endurance, however, has been predicated on the one thing that has not changed: the power relations between the two. It is the difference in authority, and not just the difference in work, that undergirds the stability of the relationship between the two professions. The NP threatens to disrupt that stability. When registered nurses (RNs) become NPs, they are not just learning new skills; they are crossing lines of authority that they had previously learned to treat as constitutive of their profession. The chapter then looks at the voices and experiences of the NPs of Forest Grove Elder Services. Their narrated and actual practices negotiated physician authority in very different ways.

The purpose of my article is to shed light on the relationship of proximity and distance that linked two major figures of 20th-century French philosophy: Emmanuel Levinas and Vladimir Jankélévitch. This article presents a comparative study of their respective views on Metaphysics and Ethics. It also deals with their contribution to the reflection on the fact of “Being Jewish”, the theme that was at the center of the preoccupations of these two artisans of the renewal of Jewish thought in France after the Shoah. I conduct a comparative analysis between the key concepts of their philosophy: Levinas’ “There is” and “Otherness” and Jankélévitch’s “I-know-not-what” and “Ipseity”. I point out the difference between Levinas’ ethics of Otherness and Jankélévitch’s morality of paradox. In the section on “Being Jewish”, I highlight the crucial distinction they both made between racism and anti-Semitism and the very different meaning they gave to it.

This research aimed to investigate the level of test anxiety and the relationship between test anxiety and self-esteem among the students of the faculty of Science and Arts in Rafha campus, Northern Border University, KSA during the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, it intended to identify the differences in test anxiety among the students according to gender variable. The researcher applied the descriptive method, prepared a preliminary data form, and used the Westside Test Anxiety Scale by Driscoll (2007) and the Self-esteem Scale by El Sayed (2019). The data were collected online, and the sample size was (336) students. The results showed that the level of test anxiety among the students of the faculty of Science and Arts during the COVID-19 pandemic was high. The correlation coefficient between the impairment subscale and self-esteem was negative but statistically insignificant. Moreover, the correlation coefficients between both the worry subscale and the test anxiety total scores with the self-esteem resulted in a negative sign and statistically significant. There were significant differences in test anxiety among the students in the impairment subscale, the P-value was (0.005), which indicates that the difference between the two means is statistically significant, and the males’ mean is greater. While the P-value for the worry subscale was (0.226), which indicates that the difference was insignificant, the P-value of the test anxiety total scores was (0.029), which reveals that the difference between the two means is statistically significant, and the males’ mean is greater.

Much of the literature defines housing affordability as the relationship between household income and housing expenditure (housing costs). Affordable housing refers to the affordability of the household to own or rent the housing. Housing becomes unaffordable if the housing costs exceed the income of the household. Thus, the objective of this paper is to define the difference between housing affordability and an affordable house and to identify the factors influencing the gap between housing affordability and an affordable house. To achieve the objectives of this paper, 28 variables or factors have been identified. These variables or factors are then analysed by using the descriptive method of analysis. After analysing 28 identified variables or factors, the findings show that a high house price, a high monthly repayment, the type of property ownership and the land area either extremely or moderately influenced the gap between housing affordability and an affordable house.

The problem of the research is the insufficient study of political correctness (PC) in the intercultural and linguistic aspects, as well as the urgent need to establish its status in the modern integrated culture. The relevance of the study is due to there is no unified approach to the analysis of the concept of PC in the political sphere. There is a special ideological cultural and behavioral linguistic tolerant tendency in the contrary to expressions subjected to public ostracism due to the fact that the speeches of public figures contain too many politically incorrect statements. Thus, the “listener” may have an internal protest against the use of PC vocabulary in everyday life, although its use is forced upon society by all types of media. The study is touch upon the analysis of the vast corpus of statements by US President D. Trump on Twitter, as well as other open Internet sources. The problem of studying PC was dealt with as Russian scientists, such as A.B. Ostroukh, M. Yu. Palazhchenko, Yu.L. Gumanova, S.G. - Ter Minasova, L.V. Tsurikova and others, as well as their foreign colleagues: Paul Berman, Deborah Cameron and others. The aim of research is to attempt to describe the PC category in terms of cultural, behavioral and linguistic perspectives. In accordance with the tasks set for the study the following methods were used: descriptive method, methods of distributive, component, quantitative and comparative analysis. The results could be used in educational and methodological activities as well as preparation of materials on cultural linguistics, lexicology, linguistic stylistics submissions, etc. The further research course plans to establish the relationship between the occasional euphemistic vocabulary.

The relevance of this study is determined by the critical importance of migration for international cooperation and intrastate development. The processes of globalization and migration are interrelated sociopolitical phenomena that require an adequate legal assessment. However, the law should not only commit the consequences of these processes, but also, if possible, regulate them in order to prevent a destructive influence on the states development. The aim of the study is to determine the impact of globalization and regional integration on the legal systems of member states of various types of international associations. The methods of attaining this aim include: dialectics, which allows to look at the processes under consideration from the view point of their mutual influence and dynamics; analysis and synthesis, through which the inalienable signs of phenomena are studied; induction and deduction as methods of a philosophical approach to the relationship between general and particular, while characterizing the interdependence of international and intrastate law. We pay considerable attention to special legal methods – comparative legal and formal legal, contributing to an all-sided study of the legal regulation of migration processes in individual countries. We base our conclusions on an assessment of the impact of international law on intrastate legal regulation in the field of migration, which is not only retrospective, but also prospective. We note the impact of pandemic on the migration legislation development.

ABSTRACT:This article explores how the idea of tragedy can highlight some of the complex and paradoxical aspects of the relationship between ethics and leadership. First, it offers a comparative analysis of the way in which questions of leadership are addressed as a practical and theoretical concern when leaders are confronted with situations of moral crisis. The context is provided by a critical reading of the MBA oath, a student-led pledge that tries to establish a higher moral standard for leaders, and by Norman Bowie’s attempt to develop a Kantian theory of leadership. Second, it introduces a novel philosophical approach based upon Hegel’s interpretation of tragedy and ethical life developed in his theory of aesthetics. Through the idea of tragedy, the concept of ethical leadership could also encompass those ambiguous situations when good conflicts with good and when a possible reconciliation of a moral conflict might require the sacrifice of otherwise legitimate ends.

The aim of the paper is to study the modern Ukrainian TV industry in comparison with foreign examples and to formulate the requirements that a Ukrainian TV series must meet in order to enter the global market. The following methods were used during the work: descriptive method and typology, comparative analysis, and synthesis, each of these methods corresponds to one of the three stages of the study. This contributed to the achievement of the following results: the features of the modern TV series were characterised and its main types were identified; the domestic and foreign markets of multimedia products were studied and their common features and differences were revealed; formulated requirements that the Ukrainian TV series must meet in order to enter the global market. The scientific novelty of the paper lies in the detailed study of modern formats and descriptions of the general features of TV series, which allowed to perform the classification and thoroughly analyse each of the genres and types of TV series. The practical significance lies in the fact that the developed criteria for a modern series should be used as a recommendation when creating a multi-episode project.
