Right from the early days of the process industries, continuous efforts have been made to develop and improve measures for prevention and mitigation of dust explosions in these industries. Nevertheless this hazard continues to threaten industries that manufacture, use and/or handle powders and dusts of a wide range of combustible materials. To improve methods for predicting explosion development in real industrial plant has been one major challenge. Hence, during the last years comprehensive numerical simulation codes, for addressing this problem, have been developed. Progress has also been made in other areas, for example, ignition source prevention. The importance of adopting inherently safer process design, by building on firm knowledge in powder science and technology, and of systematic education/training of personnel, is also emphasized.

Religious education is a compulsory subject in Pakistani schools in which students learn basic knowledge about Islam without exploring the sectarian differences between each sect of Islam. The division of Muslims into Sunni and Shia and the further division of Sunni Muslims into different sects has caused massive sectarian violence in Pakistan. This study uses qualitative methods to explore the possibility of engaging with religious literacy and religious education to explain the purpose, contents, and practical application of religious education and to mitigate existing challenges linked to religion in Pakistan. Even though religious education does not support sectarian differences, individual opinions about sectarian differences are still a major component of divisiveness in Pakistani society. Through interviews with 25 teachers from different levels of education (six primary school teachers, five high school teachers, five college teachers, five university teachers, and four religious school teachers), in this article, I argue that teachers of religious education in schools are neither following a common faith in teaching religious education nor are they in full agreement on providing equal rights to all students of different religious beliefs. Rather, most believe in their personal ideology centered on their own particular religious sect that largely rejects the concept of religious literacy. There is a need for evaluation and improvement of the teaching and learning of religion in schools in order to explain misperceptions about its practical application as well as to engage religious education with diversity.

Abstract With the continuous development of my country's sports industry, many drawbacks have appeared in traditional basketball teaching. This research mainly discusses the practical application of network multimedia courseware in college basketball teaching. Multimedia courseware teaching plan Multimedia courseware teaching plan consists of at least four parts: teaching content, teacher guidance, student learning and multimedia courseware. In the example of this study, FlashMX2004 is used to complete the multimedia courseware of basketball tactics basic teaching. The whole courseware is easy to embed in the webpage and is suitable for wireless network transmission on the Internet. Use the scanner to scan the text part into the computer, recognize it with Hanwang HWOCR5.0 recognition software, and edit it in Word. Use the video processor and audio processor of Kingsoft Hasee II to convert the VCD to the .avi video file format, use Windowsmoviemaker to edit and integrate the edited film, and finally import the required materials into Flash as needed to make the courseware . In order to ensure the correctness and effectiveness of the basic actions in the courseware, the empirical validity evaluation method is adopted, and the validity of the courseware content is tested. After the teaching experiment, in order to test the basic knowledge of basketball tactics and the theoretical knowledge of the two groups of students, a test of the theoretical knowledge of basketball tactics was carried out. The experimental group had 22 people with a score of 90 or more accounted for 27.5%, and the control group had 13 people with a score of 90 or more accounted for 16.5%. The results show that multimedia computer-assisted teaching has a positive role in cultivating students' interest in learning.

Cystic echinococcosis (CE) is a cosmopolitan zoonosis caused by the larval cystic stage of the dog tapewormEchinococcus granulosus. This complex multicellular pathogen produces various antigens which modulate the host immune response and promote parasite survival and development. The recent application of modern molecular and immunological approaches has revealed novel insights on the nature of the immune responses generated during the course of a hydatid infection, although many aspects of theEchinococcus-host interplay remain unexplored. This paper summarizes recent developments in our understanding of the immunology and diagnosis of echinococcosis, indicates areas where information is lacking, and suggests possible new strategies to improve serodiagnosis for practical application.

This project research titled “Information on budgetary allocation in Federal University Library, Lafia (FUL Lafia)” was undertaken to ascertain the level of budgetary allocation and implementation in aiding library services in the institution. The methodology used in the study was the survey which adopted the descriptive sampling of 20 library staffs sampled for the study. The Questionnaire was constructed where each of the items in the questionnaire was grouped in accordance with their relationship to the research questions and analyzed using frequency distribution tables. The findings revealed that the extent of use of these budgetary systems in FUL Lafia is very high as library operations depends highly on proper budgetary allocation. As revealed by the respondents, the budgetary allocation for FUL is adequate. Also it was found that the major challenge being faced in FUL is improper budgetary allocation of funds. The study concludes that practical application of budgeted funds through proper budgetary allocation and implementation will go a long way in providing and equipping students with basic knowledge and competencies necessary for improved academic performance. Subsequently, the study recommends that the budgetary systems and processes being employed by the university authorities should be reviewed and improved upon so as to checkmate excesses and budget padding. In view of the challenges encountered in the budgetary allocation, it is recommended that qualified librarian, auditors and account experts be employed and the necessary tools needed for proper budgetary allocation be made available to them so as to curtail these challenges.

The purpose of language testing is to better serve language learning and teaching. The ultimate goal is to help learners improve their practical application ability. Therefore, by analyzing HSK’s own knowledge points and knowledge points which are relatively weak compared with JLPT’s, this paper analyzes the key points of daily teaching, goes out of the pattern of simply studying HSK’s exam oriented skills and teaching methods, and discusses its application in daily teaching. In order to improve the teaching method and make the students acquire knowledge step by step. Some skills need solid basic knowledge, but the best reason to pass the exam is to fully understand the content. Therefore, we should try to analyze the content of the examination, and put the key and difficult points of language learning reflected by the examination site into the daily teaching, so as to truly "teach people to fish".

In our initial publication on this subject1) we reported results demonstrating that contrast is the most important factor in producing the high image quality required for reliable image analysis. We also listed the factors which enhance contrast in order of the experimentally determined magnitude of their effect. The two most powerful factors affecting image contrast attainable with sheet film are beam intensity and KV. At that time we had only qualitative evidence for the ranking of enhancing factors. Later we carried out the densitometric measurements which led to the results outlined below.Meaningful evaluations of the cause-effect relationships among the considerable number of variables in preparing EM negatives depend on doing things in a systematic way, varying only one parameter at a time. Unless otherwise noted, we adhered to the following procedure evolved during our comprehensive study:Philips EM-300; 30μ objective aperature; magnification 7000- 12000X, exposure time 1 second, anti-contamination device operating.

Abstract The AMA Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment (AMA Guides), Fifth Edition, is available and includes numerous changes that will affect both evaluators who and systems that use the AMA Guides. The Fifth Edition is nearly twice the size of its predecessor (613 pages vs 339 pages) and contains three additional chapters (the musculoskeletal system now is split into three chapters and the cardiovascular system into two). Table 1 shows how chapters in the Fifth Edition were reorganized from the Fourth Edition. In addition, each of the chapters is presented in a consistent format, as shown in Table 2. This article and subsequent issues of The Guides Newsletter will examine these changes, and the present discussion focuses on major revisions, particularly those in the first two chapters. (See Table 3 for a summary of the revisions to the musculoskeletal and pain chapters.) Chapter 1, Philosophy, Purpose, and Appropriate Use of the AMA Guides, emphasizes objective assessment necessitating a medical evaluation. Most impairment percentages in the Fifth Edition are unchanged from the Fourth because the majority of ratings currently are accepted, there is limited scientific data to support changes, and ratings should not be changed arbitrarily. Chapter 2, Practical Application of the AMA Guides, describes how to use the AMA Guides for consistent and reliable acquisition, analysis, communication, and utilization of medical information through a single set of standards.
