Abstract: The COVID-19 virus, which was announced by the WHO as a global pandemic, made the government and the public begin to implement health protocols, including disinfection using special chemical liquids intended for inanimate objects. However, there are some misunderstandings about the use of disinfectant liquids in the human body that can endanger health. This is because the liquid used for disinfection contains chemicals, such as: diluted bleach (bleach solution), chlorine, ethanol, quaternary ammonium, and hydrogen peroxide which are harmful to the body. To eliminate these misunderstandings, the Disinfectman game was designed as an educational as well as entertainment media which is expected to eliminate misunderstandings about the use of disinfection fluids during the Covid-19 pandemic. The design method used in the development of this game is the ADDIE method which describes the systematic development of stages to get the results as needed. The stages in the ADDIE procedure are: analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation. This disinfectman game was developed using the game developer application Unity Game Engine which uses the C# programming language and the Adobe Photoshop application to create 2D assets. To ensure the game can be played, a black box test was carried out as an effort to find errors or bugs in the game, this test showed that in general the game ran smoothly. This game is based on WEB GL HTML5 which is played online on the itch.io site.

This study was undertaken in response to the government's need for evaluative criteria in funding halfway houses for alcoholics. Sociological literature on halfway houses for alcoholics has identified their development as a “grass roots” social movement reacting against the perceived ineffectiveness of traditional institutional approaches (courts, hospitals, hostels, missions) in dealing with homeless alcoholics. Sociological theory on social movements sees them as evolutionary in nature where by newly emergent radical social arrangements are conceived and propagated in such a way so as to attain stability and themselves become the “new order of things”. In this sense social movements carry with them the seeds of their own institutionalization. Our study involved 10 months of observation in halfway houses for alcoholics designated for funding by the government. In addition an in-depth study of one haflway house (Fresh Start House) involved six months of continuous participant observation. Twenty-one consecutive admissions were monitored over their length of stay at Fresh Start House. During the duration of the study, in depth interviews (formal and informal) were conducted with both staff and residents. As a result of the study we were able to identify five key issues which seem applicable in analyzing the institutionalization of the halfway house movement in general. These issues revolve around: 1) staff ideology, 2) selection procedures, 3) structural organization, 4) role assignment and 5) communication network and content. Sociological theory has come to see the institutionalization of social movements as part of the inevitable dialetical process. The speed with which institutionalization progresses, however, may be accelerated or slowed depending on how specific issues are handled and what choices are made. In this study the halfway house in question failed to identify and resolve certain issues and with others made choices which hastened the process of institutionalization. Of the twenty-one consecutive admissions monitored through their stay at Fresh Start House, only one remained sober three months after discharge. This study attempts to document what happened while these residents were inside the “black box.”

Handling complaints is a reciprocal service for the public provided by the government. People who want to make a complaint can make it by dialing the phone number, web, emails and suggestion box provided by the government. Problems encountered in making this complaint include an error in entering/writing the targeted agency, the distance to the suggestion box is far and not real time. The author designed a mobile-based information system for handling public complaints using the android operating system. This public complaint handling application has a feature where the user can choose the agency in accordance with the complaint, the complaint can include pictures, location tags, can see the lates developments of complaint handling in the status of complaints, as well as chat feature that can be used to communicate directly with the Government and the Admin Agencies. Based on the result of test conducted, namely testing using black box method and stress testing, it can be concluded that this application has functioned properly. In 2004, the Government of Jamaica and the Confederation of Trade Unions signed a social partnership agreement or Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which maintained the size of the public sector and wage expenditure, in exchange for no redundancies. The implementation of the Agreement unearthed unanticipated implications for the practice of power within the partnership. The ontology of Actor Network Theory, conceptualizes the MoU as an actor which, through the mechanics of translation, creates its own actor network that it seeks to inscribe with its own discourse to attain a ‘black box' status. The inclusion of discourse as a moment and use of Critical Discourse Analysis provides for the penetration of the impenetrable black box of network interaction and analytical possibilities. The paper argues for the recognition of discourse as a moment in ANT which strengthens it and affords a mode of analysis to deconstruct or explore inner distributions of power.

This project examines the policy process surrounding Canada's latest reforms of its financial–services industry legislation. The banks lobbied for a broadening of their eligible activities to mirror those of the multi–function banks in Europe and the United States and for mergers to permit them to compete with those banks on an equal footing. The government denied the institutions' requests and the pressure for action was deflected to a task force. My analysis of the policy change process is informed by the public choice paradigm and portrays the activities in the policy “black box.”

The last substantive chapter examines a third case study which differs in important ways from the first two. Unlike Baocun and Qiancun, Guiyu town is a well-known, indeed a notorious environmental health hotspot. Pollution is caused by a vast and complex cottage industry processing electronic waste. Chapter 5 explores how such “e-waste work” became closely embedded within the local community, family and social relations, as domestic and work spaces were inextricably blurred. It disaggregates the black box of “e-waste work” to show how it evolved over time, the great diversity that composes the sector, how the government attempted to regulate particular activities within it and why their efforts were not fully effective. It shows that, as in Baocun and Qiancun, the economic benefits and environmental costs of these activities are unevenly distributed. By describing a range of diverse e-waste workers engaged in a spectrum of more or less polluting work, the chapter illustrates how locals fashion counter-discourses of relative harm to excuse their practices and avoid blame. In these circumstances, as in Baocun, toxicity is naturalised and parameters of health are adjusted to normalise and accept widespread pollution-induced ailments.

During the Covid-19 pandemic the government implement the imposition of Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB). This PSBB also has an impact on companies in Jabodetabek including PT Akses Digital Indonesia. In order to comply with regulations given by the government, PT Akses Digital Indonesia has implemented a Work From Home (WFH) policy for its employees. During the implementation of the WFH policy, had difficulty monitoring the performance of its employees. Attendance is one measure of the level of performance, especially employee discipline. Based on the identification of the problem, an employee presence web service application is needed. Of course, this application should be as effective as conventional fingerprint machines in offices. This application is accompanied by a validation feature using geotagging, fingerprint and device checkers to minimize fraud when employees make attendance. This study implements the RESTful API security feature on web services using JSON Web Token (JWT) based on the HMAC SHA-256 algorithm. All implementation stages are tested using the Black Box method and show that JWT can secure the authentication process and secure data. The validation feature is able to provide attendance data with an accuracy of 90,9%.

In this introductory essay to the special issue on the use of S.J. Ball’s theories in Latin America we explore how Ball’s theoretical concerns and empirical research contributes to visualize, map and problematize some aspects that have been marginalized in most research on education policies in the region. Ball’s contributions are grouped into two main areas. First, the analysis of the participation of new actors in education policy, including businesses and philanthropic organizations; which implies a redefinition of the state and the government of education. The second area we highlight is his work on the policy cycle and his theory of enactment. Ball questions the concept of "implementation" and linear views on the relations between "policy" and "practice." In contrast, he proposes conceptual approaches that contribute to open the black box of educational policies, exploring how they define possible frameworks for action, but at the same time, leave margins for interpretations and actions of individuals acting in different contexts.

Covid-19 has not been defeated make the economy unstable. The government increases purchasing power with a stimulus. The government's stimulus for PPnBM 0% of cars is a breath of fresh air. Sales rate increases. Even so, the ups and downs keep happening. Sales are unstable. In one to three months, five cars can be sold. It could also take 3 to 6 months, only 1 unit. Must make a strategy to avoid overcrowding of units. Like PT. Suka Fajar Ltd Medan. Companies engaged in the sale of Mitsubishi cars. As operating costs increase, management limits the acceptance of car shipments. This policy has fatal consequences. When consumers want to buy a particular car unit, it is not available. Incidents like this happened more than five times. The company's image is not good. Researched to design and build applications that can make predictions—collaborated with the linear regression. To be directed and sequential, the waterfall is used. Ensuring the application is suitable for testing with the black box. Research leads to the conclusion that the application is designed and built according to what is needed.
