Digital storytelling is a way to utilize evidence-based practices in an online context that incorporates foundational literacy content with digital tools. Two literacy professors sought to maximize candidate learning and engagement through authentic, purposeful practices. This chapter details the utilization of a digital literacy portfolio assignment as part of an online, collaborative context to facilitate candidates' articulation of beliefs and understandings about effective literacy instruction. As candidates engage across both the face-to-face and online contexts, they develop understandings about effective literacy instruction, the application of digital tools in the classroom instruction, and a lived sense of the content of the ILA Standards that will inform their future practice. While teacher education programs face political scrutiny and intense pressure to incorporate vast amounts of content, the assignment described in this chapter provides an opportunity to facilitate candidates' learning in an online environment.

Automatic face recognition is a challenging problem in the biometrics area, where the dimension of the sample space is typically larger than the number of samples in the training set and consequently the so-called small sample size problem exists. Recently, neuroscientists emphasized the manifold ways of perception, and showed the face images may reside on a nonlinear submanifold hidden in the image space. Many manifold learning methods, such as Isometric feature mapping, Locally Linear Embedding, and Locally Linear Coordination are proposed. These methods achieved the submanifold by collectively analyzing the overlapped local neighborhoods and all claimed to be superior to such subspace methods as Eigenfaces and Fisherfaces in terms of classification accuracy. However, in literature, no systematic comparative study for face recognition is performed among them. In this paper, we carry out a comparative study in face recognition among them, and the study considers theoretical aspects as well as simulations performed using CMU PIE and FERET face databases.

This comparative study of Islam and Christianity struggled to reveal the mutual meaningful expressions of God, the creator. The main question to which the article tried to answer is: Who is Jesus Christ for Paul and Muhammad(s)? The significance of countering to this question is being revealed much more through the contemporary issues of hate, and delusions that are influencing all believers in one God. Questioning the human nature and the Lordship of Christ looks like a barrier in dialogues between Islam and Christianity. So, as its primary purpose, Jesus, as the Lord from Paul’s perspective and Isa al-Masih, the son of Maryam from Muhammad’s(s) viewpoint, will be compared through different methods. Like the spiritual interpretation of Joel S. Goldsmith, in which the monotheistic presupposition (worshipping only one God), will implant the axial direction of the examination of the Bible and the Quran. Moreover, through historical criticism, the article will try to clarify the origins of faith in Pauline Christology compare to the doctrine of Tawhid from the Quran and the origin of the Quranic accounts of Christ. Also, through a feminist analysis, the essay will have a critical look at maleness of titles of God in Christianity. In this way, the historical analysis will display the urge of accepting the Quran as the Incarnated word of God for Islam and the importance of Paul as the best witness for Christ. By spiritual interpretation, the meaning of the “form” and the “face” of God in Christianity, and “face”, and the “Rope” of Allah and Al-Rahman in the Quran will validate a mutual notion of divinity for all believers. Also, through the feminist approach framed in the text of the Bible and the Quran, this research will spot the sexless status of the Incarnated Christ after the resurrection, the one who is the Lord of all now, even if is being praised in the new name of Al-Rahman. Thus, in conclusion, this article will suggest mutual findings in Quranic and Biblical Christology and will be ended by spotting the incarnation of the word of God, as the best point of starting a fruitful dialogue between Islam and Christianity.

Vocational High School (VHS) is the initial level of vocational education whose task is to prepare students to become skilled labor in the industrial field. At this time there have been many changes, related to the era of industrial revolution 4.0, and the demands of life in the 21st century. Therefore it is necessary to increase the competence of vocational students in order to respond to these changes, both related to the era of industrial revolution 4.0, and demands for skills 4C to be able to live in existence in the 21st century. How far has the implementation of Vocational Schools been able to respond to these changes and demands? To answer this question, a research is needed entitled "Readiness of Vocational students in order to face the industrial revolution 4.0 and the demands of 21st century skills". Through literature studies, it was found that it was needed: (1) the use of learning models such as Problem Based Learning (PBL), Project Based Learning (PjBL), Cooperative Learning and the like, in order to foster 4C skills capabilities for vocational students; (2) the use of learning media such as e-larning, Flipped classroom and podcasts; (3) IoT utilization, digital literacy, and utilization of e-books that are cheap, practical, environmentally friendly, and up to date, (2) improving teacher quality related to the demands of 21st century skills.

Abstract Elections are activities that aim to elect the leader of a region. Regional head elections held in 2020 are slightly different elections compared to elections in previous years. This difference is related to the Covid-19 pandemic that plagues the world, including Indonesia. The 2020 election sparked pros and cons in the community. Using digital literacy methods with a qualitative approach, this article examines the readiness of Tuban Regency in the face of the 2020 elections. Based on the results obtained, Tuban Regency held elections in 2020 with various preparations that meet health protocols. Like when conducting voter registration, the recorded officer uses a complete self-supporting tool to prevent the transmission of the Covid-19 virus.Keywords : 2020 election, Covid-19 Abstrak            Pemilihan umum merupakan kegiatan dimana bertujuan untuk memilih pemimpin suatu wilayah. Pemilihan umum kepala daerah yang diselenggarakan di tahun 2020 merupakan pemilihan umum yang sedikit berbeda dibandingkan dengan pemilihan umum di tahun-tahun sebelumnya. Perbedaan ini terkait dengan adanya pandemi Covid-19 yang mewabah di seluruh dunia, termasuk Indonesia. Pilkada 2020 yang memicu adanya pro dan kontra dalam masyarakat. Dengan menggunakan metode literasi digital dengan pendekatan kualiatatif, artikel ini mengkaji tentang kesiapan Kabupaten Tuban dalam menghadapi pilkada 2020. Berdasarkan hasil yang didapat, Kabupaten Tuban mengadakan pilkada 2020 dengan berbagai persiapan yang memenuhi protocol kesehatan. This article aims to show how the pandemic situation has given rise to the digital exodus of activities that were originally designed to be carried out in person, organized by public bodies (town councils, county council and the Andalusian Ministry of Employment, Training and Autonomous Work) and non-governmental organizations (associations, foundations of Andalusia), raising the following questions: Are face-to-face activities transferred to the digital sphere without adapting? Are there triggers to encourage participation? Do you offer a solution in terms of technological tools or digital literacy to access the activity? To give answers to these questions, between April and September 2020 we have analyzed 233 activities, 91 activities of public organizations and 142 of social entities: training course, informative workshops, conferences, orientation, and presentation of resources. In these activities the main areas covered were: employment, social revitalization, new technologies, gender equality, health, entrepreneurship and resources for youth. With these questions, necessary and current, we obtain answers that lead to a lack of transformation of face-to-face activities towards the digital field, which does not take advantage of the benefits of digital tools; Institutions and organizations do not take into account the degree of knowledge of the public with respect to communication channels and that they require them to know how to use, without forgetting the economic circumstance and assuming that each person has the necessary software and hardware to be a connected citizen. In parallel, we have discovered that this acceleration of the digital transformation of face-to-face activities has found social entities devoid of knowledge and materials. On the one hand, it does not have the materials to carry out the subsidized programs, but the administration requires it to develop them, and on the other hand, it does not have the resources to offer citizens quality technological services, since its mission was based on in the face-to-face field, for which they demand training for their workers and collaborators, as well as computer equipment not only so that citizens can participate but also so that the organization itself can develop its relationship with the administrations.

<p>One characteristic of the force of law in the country, the integrity of the rules in all areas of all aspects of creation into account the distinction between crime and the crime and failed or incomplete in acts of crime and crime as the withdrawal. Abstract This paper presents comparative evaluation of an application of deep convolutional neural networks (dCNNs) to age invariant face recognition. To this end, we use four distinct dCNN models, the AlexNet, VGGNet, GoogLeNet and ResNet. We assess their performance to recognize face images across aging variations, firstly by fine-tuning the models and secondly using them as face feature extractor. We also suggest a novel synthesized aging augmentation technique suitable for age-invariant face recognition using dCNNs. The face recognition experiments are conducted on three challenging FG-NET, MORPH and LAG aging datasets, and results are benchmarked with a simple CNN. The comparative study allows us to answer (i) when and why transfer learning or feature extraction strategies are useful in age-invariant face recognition scenarios, (ii) the potential of aging synthesized augmentation to increase accuracy and (iii) the choice of appropriate feature normalization and distance metrics to be used with deeply learned features. The extensive experiments, and valuable insights presented in this study can be extended to the design of effective age-invariant face recognition algorithms.
